I've always been attracted by the simplicity of Japanese design and I'd say Muji is totally representative of that. Much has been said about their school and office supplies - all those beautiful blank cardboard finish notebook covers, plain white frosted pencil cases, pads, pens & pencils, staplers, filing boxes - but what I've recently come to appreciate very much are their beauty & home accessories. And their clothes! They have the nicest little containers, linens, diningware, bins, and baskets that every Mom and Tita (and closet-Tita) would love! It's all so clean looking, I almost wanna get an empty, bare condo just to decorate it in Muji everything, hahaha. The clothes aren't faddish or trendy, but they have the best-looking basics. They have these great striped shirts and tunics, as well as nice-fitting button downs. When it's almost the season, they come out with these wonderful cold-weather clothes and you can find some great coats, jackets, and sweaters that have the perfect material. Actually, all the clothes stand out with the material, it's the usual thin, easily deformed cotton. They also have nice basic, carry-all bags and flat shoes that are some of the most comfortable ballet flats I've ever tried on. Their clothes and accessories are perfect for layering and matching with everything else in your closet. The only drawback is that Muji's pretty expensive so you'd better have some cash to spare! But I'm pretty sure you want regret anything you buy here anyway. You won't easily find the same combination of minimalistic style and good quality anywhere else. read more
