The Chocolate Cherry Cider was absolutely epic and my best friend and I were honored to have the last glasses of it today! I truly hope they bring it back! It was absolutely spectacular to the palate. It was refreshing, makes your tastebuds dance & the perfect choice for a hot summer day or evening! I tried the Spicy Rosè & I am apparently one who really likes some added heat! Wil added a couple more jalapeños & it was delicious! I wanted to try a little more flavor and added a bit of the Bourbon Barrel to my Rose! ... It was phenomenal! If you're adventurous as much as I am, you'll have to try this pairing! It's a quaint little winery and a nice retreat to be with friends and meet new people! A solid place to go with a variety of different ciders and wines! Always a great place to visit!

Fox & Hen Winery is decent, but not impressive…read more Got the vibe this is more for the locals than the vacationers, which makes sense, but because of that the service seemed a bit like we should already know how it works when it comes to seating and ordering, which we didn't. All the wines we tried were decent/fairly solid, but nothing memorable enough to purchase several. We racked our brains and purchased the Farm Party, which surprised me since I love Riesling and Rosé, theirs is ok at best. The strawberry and blackberry ciders were subtle and natural tasting. After buying a couple cans of them, the ingredient label disappointed me. Their experimental cider (chocolate cherry) tasted like neither of those flavors, gave it to my husband to finish, as it was the only beverage I found bordering on unpalatable. Charcuterie was overpriced. While I enjoyed the low key atmosphere, and they are kinda the only winery in the area, I would probably not return to Fox & Hen.

We enjoyed the peach, bramble berry, and Raspberry. The debate continues as to which was the best. Then we shared a flight of the fruit wine. The world is full of boring whites and reds, so we were on a journey to experience wine locally created from fruit. We were not disappointed. Each had a unique and interesting character. We like them all but enjoyed the white cranberry and black cherry the most. Food: they claim they make their food from scratch. And, they should be proud. We shared: The spinach salad with bacon dressing was fantastic. A little boring but solid, the guacamole could use some salt and lemon. However, the mini chicken chimis were good and the queso pared great. However, the Memphis style pork taco stole the show: pork cheddar jack, wonderful coleslaw and a sweet BBQ sauce was the perfect blend of greatness in a gringo flour taco. They have a pub like interior and an acceptable shaded outdoor sitting area with a pond and water fountian that reduces the road noise. We were all very excited to try the FOUR wine slushies! Sadly, they were just ok. The atmosphere is a little odd. It's on a fairly busy street but that definitely tried to make it feel less busy inside, however the fast food style service doesn't mesh with that. I'd be curious to go back and try some of their wines, but won't go too far out of my way to do so.

I asked if I could buy the equivalent amount in cans because they didn't have the keg I had ordered. He said no. Obviously this place doesn't care about correcting their mistakes for the customer and doesn't put any value in being an organized business. They probably won't lose business due to the local college crowd. But don't order from here for a special event and believe you'll get anything. I hope management is content with being known for running just another mediocre college party store.
