I never write reviews, but felt I had to for these guys. Without a doubt the easiest car service I've ever had. I had a pretty clear-cut exhaust leak, I went in (without an appointment), waited about 10 minutes and they put my car up on the lift, another 5 minutes and the diagnosis was confirmed. I was given my two options, and in about 40 minutes (they were probably done before this, but I walked over to the mall for a coffee and back) drove away with my issue fixed, for a reasonable price. I requested to have o e catalytic converter replaced and they took off both, and welding my pipes straight through. the O2sensor chords were tucked up so half way home they started flapping under my engine and the tires were running then over. I had one O2 sensor replaced with a new one but that's when I found out the mechanic sabotaged my car. my overdrive button when I pressed it went bang bang and they was it. quit working. my blower motor was making a bunch of noise and the fan speed only had one setting, which was half full. I had to replace the blower motor and the blower motor resistor. I got screwed with my one perfectly good catalytic converter they took off and put the contents of both into a box for me I had recently done my own radiator fluid change and made sure it was full and after getting my vehicle back there was 4 litres missing. I know they drained my rad fluid. I have to check my transmission fluid level soon too. my block heater has always worked. when I went to plug it in today in the garage I could hear a bad crackly sound and it blew my breaker. I am certain they cut my block heater wires to cause this to happen. It could have burned my garage down. I have no idea why my vehicle was sabotaged at Calgary muffler, but I am looking into starting a lawsuit. read more

A-List. These guys are knowledgeable, efficient, service-oriented, friendly and have reasonable prices for work completed. I have an older car. They gave me a couple of options knowing that I did not require the "Ferrari Fix" and the price tag that goes with it. They took me to the shop and showed me my car on the hoist and explained everything perfectly. I felt they had good perspective on my car and the customer. The check out was quick and correct. They are COVID aware and follow protocol. FYI: They do not take the American Express card. I recommend this business without hesitation or reservation. This is a gem on Macleod Trail. What a great group of people! I'm an American who was stuck in Calgary for a week after a neverending series of auto repairs. I just had the transmission fixed finally but as I finally drove off, I realized 1) the exhaust was entering my vehicle and killing me, and 2) it was dying and choking while idling or moving in low gears. I called Calgary Mufflers almost in tears - I was at my wit's end for car trouble and mechanical scams. The woman who answered was calm, polite, and asked me to head right in. When I got there, I felt instantly reassured in their friendliness and professionalism. Despite appearing quite busy, they had a look at my Jeep right away and immediately found the problem. They showed me what was wrong, explained why it was a problem, and said that although it needed a great deal more work, they would be able to do a temporary repair so I could get home. They told me up front how much it would cost and how long it would take. They were prompt, honest, and reassuring. The repair solved the issue - it was now safe to drive, waaaay quieter, and no longer choked or died. I made it all the way to Illinois (at least 2500 kilometers) and it held up fine. Awesome shop! I just had my 1970 Chevelle, custom 2-1/2" exhaust done from headers back! Al and his crew sure know what they're doing when it comes to exhausts! Especially old muscle! Not to say they can't do newer, this is my fourth vehicle done here, last one was my 05 Silverado Duramax. Quick and very reasonable! Will definitely come back! Their treatment of me shows that they are customer oriented and flexible as my job wasn't the ordinary run of the mill type work. They won't shew you out of the shop "for insurance reasons" instead,(while your vehicle is on the lift) they will show you what is wrong and just what has to be done explaining all options. My Chevy Cavalier had corroded flex. Even without appointment I only had to wait 5 min to have the problem correctly diagnosed and another 20 min to have it fixed. Work well done and they did not suggest any unnecessary repairs. The price - $260 was on the high side. I later phoned four other muffler shops and got quotes ranging from $150 to $220. read more

Terrible. While attending a conference in Calgary the catalytic converter on my truck failed and sent pieces through my exhaust and into my muffler. I found some reviews for this place that looked really good so I decided to bring my truck in to have the cat removed and the muffler replaced. Bad choice. When I picked the truck up it sounded good and I just took a super quick peak underneath because it was wet, cold, and slippery that day. I wish I would have looked closer, I would have had them rip the exhaust off right then and redo it. A few months later while I was doing some work under my truck, I finally had a close look at the exhaust. Super disappointing. They had undersized the exhaust they put on by a full 1/2" and done a terrible job welding it. Where my catalytic converter was the factory exhaust piping was 2.75", which I understand isn't a super common size. Perhaps they didn't have any 2.75" pipe or mufflers in stock, but they failed to mention this to me. I would have been a little more understanding had they put on 2.5" stuff, but instead they decided to put 2.25" pipe and muffler on my truck with zero transition from the 2.75" to the 2.25". They just stuck the 2.25" pipe into the 2.75" and performed the ugliest booger welds you have ever seen. This truck as a 360 cu in V8. You don't put a 2.25" single pipe on an engine like that. I have had that size of factory pipe on a little 2L 4 cylinder engine. To top it off, they charged me way more money than other shops I have been to. And the other shops did way better work. Does the truck have a functioning exhaust system? Yes. Is there anything good about the system they chose without consulting me? NO! How is their quality of work? AWFUL!! Don't take your vehicle here. read more
