Mueller's has the BEST apple cider donuts I've ever had. I only eat donut a couple of times a year so I'll wait until next year for donuts.

The gum texture is pretty viscous, unlike the softer American style. Chardonnay, Cognac, Rum, Port flavors are all solid. Too bad these dont have real booze in them!

Several years ago, I decided to get a tattoo to commemorate my love for these sprinkle filled confections, and very recently, I emailed a picture of this tattoo to Gerrit's via there website : www.fresch.com along with a short message about how much I love there candies. Within the hour I had gotten an exceptionally warm personal response, from one of their sales representatives, Lena Denysenko. She thanked me for my business and offered to send me some candy, I suppose for the bloodshed I endured for the love of the Wafer :-P! I had honestly expected a small package, perhaps a couple bags of their candy's, or maybe even a whole case of Satellites, though even the written response would have been more than enough. Instead I recieved an 8lb box of candy, it was like Christmas! This box along with a hand written note from Lena! It's so refreshing in today's day and age to have companies around such as Gerrit's, with real, accessable, kind people who are extending the proverbial hand each and every day. I had no doubt's about being a life long fan of this product, but I can now say, I am a life long fan of this company as well.

The store itself seemed organized and clean; however, what made the experience unpleasant was the interaction with a woman who claimed to be the store's regional manager Laurel. When I approached them to ask about product availability, I was met with an attitude that felt dismissive and uninterested. Instead of offering help or even a quick explanation, Laurel seemed irritated by my questions and gave short, unhelpful responses. It left the impression that customer concerns weren't important. While I understand that stores can have busy days and shortages, the lack of professionalism and courtesy from leadership is what ultimately pushed me to leave without completing my shopping. A manager sets the tone for the whole store, and in this case, the tone wasn't welcoming or supportive. I hope the store takes steps to improve customer service and organization, because right now it falls far below reasonable expectations.

White Lotus Farms - Inside of Coffee Cream Croissant ($4) - I like the cream: very strong coffee flavor. The croissant part is just fine.

I don't love that. They have extremely deep pond very close to the area where lots of children are. It doesn't feel very safe. You can definitely feel religious undertones and not feel slightly strange to me, but I do enjoy the products that they make, and everybody is very kind . The bread was very good, filled with Kalamata olives. The morning bun sort of reminded me of a croissant with cinnamon sugar in a spiral shape, it was decent, but I wouldn't get it again. The stand was very busy, they had a large variety of things, I wasn't able to check out anything besides the baked goods. Ok get bread again, next time I go to Eastern Market.
