The Customer service desk are a group of the most incompetent employees I've ever come across. Every time I have to encounter them it's the same thing several people get involved and nobody can make an executive decision or figure out what to do. Recently I was told they don't do returns without a receipt including the manager of the store who stated the same thing.... but then minutes later it was we don't except large dollar returns without a receipt so which is it lol . So in conclusion I was allowed a return of a item that was $8 but not the one that was $24.99 . But ( we don't do returns with out a receipt) was what I was blatantly told. read more

These stores deserve negative stars. The prices get worse by the day, the meat here is terrible and if you go to the veggie section so much is rotten. They also like to stock right in the middle of the isles middle of the day making it almost impossible for you to get to what you need. I'm guessing because they don't want to pay night stock. Can't wait for ALDI to open so I can shop there. read more

VG's used to be our favourite store, before I got sick and ordered things for pick up. The onions were completely rotten, ginger and carrots as well. I couldn't believe it. I used to love VG's. They have a pretty decent bakery still and that is about it. Prices are high. Don't get me started on the meat and produce. I have never seen worse hack jobs on steaks. I have stopped buying produce. It is either moldy or wilted. Even the free fruit for kids is not checked. They have done a recent remodel that was a waste of money. Instead of spreading themselves thinner, they should have focused on quality. read more

Do not buy meat from here!!!! I purchased steak from this location, same day went to cook it and right when I opened it came a terrible smell. The meat looked fresh from the outside of the package but the bottom was completely brown almost black. After sharing my story I was told they are notorious for changing the expiration dates on food and use little tricks to make the meats appear fresh. Disgusted.. read more

I was shopping this store for years. In the last few years the store employees get more and more rude. Again today I had a employee yell at me over trying to buy 2 loafs of bread and 2 packs of hot dog buns. I have 6 people to feed. When she raised her voice I explained if she did not stop I would walkout and they could keep their 300.00 worth of groceries. When I walked out I contacted the store manager Larry, he explained the person who yelled at me was under stress. I responded this is a normal act for his store. He then proceeded to yell at me interrupt every word I said. Finally I pointed out he behaves just like his employees. He yelled at me told me to call corporate and hung the phone up on me. I think it is time we boycott VG's and push for a Kroger. That store is pathetic. read more

They don't honor the prices they have advertised. Ridiculous, plenty of other places to go grocery shopping. You just lost my business.

Prices are a bit high compared to local competition and service slipped back after VG'S sold out to Spartan but store is clean, well organized and staff is well trained.Selection is good, sale prices are competitive but not normal prices. Their "take-back" policy is hassle free and pharmacy is efficient. Starting to get more organic choices now, after a slow take off. Sufficient number of cashiers and baggers to minimize wait times.( Way better than Walmar). read more

Over Priced. The Express Lane could not be open because they didn't have enough Cashiers. That's the reason that I was given. Checkout candy wrappers had been mice chewed. The lanes that were open, had long lines. Even the Service Desk had a long line. The manager seemed uninterested when I spoke up. read more
