It wasn't even on Yelp, but was recommended by ANOTHER establishment that was closed to the public. A distinctly Southern charm atmosphere, Honey's Place shares a front with a salon (walled off of course, but how Steel Magnolias can you get?) I had this amazing fat club sandwich that I couldn't even fit my mouth around. Paired with Ruffles and sweet tea, this was a lunch fit for a southern belle. Service was quick and my tea was kept filled... what more could you ask for? (The Mississippi Mud dessert I saw behind the counter, that's what.) Lol They also have a small salad i didn't try, and on the menu were souls and shakes.

I find this a fault that Yelp needs changed. I have eaten at French's several times and the food is good. Service is slow but friendly. I had the chicken and waffles during the Natchez Trace Festival and the flavors was wonderful but once again portions for very small.

You go through a line in front of an enclosed buffer and tell them what you want. 11.79 you get a meat, two veggies, roll and drink. They had BBq pulled pork and ribs. I think the rest was just home cooking. Fried catfish, hamburger steak, fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, Mac and cheese, green beans, peas, other stuff too. The pork was good, but not what I think of as BBQ. My greens and Cole slaw were delicious. I got hush puppies instead of cornbread or roll, they were good. Everything looked really good. What I had was good. They had desserts, but I didn't pay attention to those. I had so much food on my plate, I couldn't even eat all that and took it home. Will go back. They weren't real busy, I hope more people find them, they are good home cooking and nice people.
