The fresh tomatoes, cucumber slices, greens and hummus. Again proved that a simple sandwich can provide perfect satisfaction. The coffee was great but filled only half which was disappointing. The coffee was so good we decided to order a flat white after since we didn't have enough! We also got the pea hummus brioche (all the brioches looked delicious), which was the most buttery and soft texture. Lastly, my favorite was the carrot hazelnut cake with cashew cream, topped with blueberries and a gooseberry. I will be thinking about that dessert for a while - probably one of my favorite sweet bites this year. The vibes were also very cute inside and all the servers were so sweet and helpful. I would have taken a photo but honestly, the gelato wasn't very pretty looking, which made me skeptical. Lots of only last scrapes of the barrels left...but maybe there is a reason for this... it's damn good and the customers kept coming. Between me and my group, I managed to sample Hazelnut, Coffee, Rum Raisin, Cookies, and Salted Caramel. All were excellent and smooth with no crystallization. I'm generally happy with a plain scoop in a cup, so nothing is taking away from the gelato. But they did have a large sign displaying all kinds of Sundays with toppings, the mixed berry Sunday caught my eye, so someone else please report on that for me. As did the Watermelon gelato, which looked like gelato and not sorbet. Lots of fruit options here. Also curious of the liquor bottles on the shelves, maybe there was a reason that the raisins in the rum raisins were properly prepared. Hopefully my first review is one of many for them. Well done.
