Reply was that the note was sent to the clinic and Heather could do no more than that. We called again on Thursday as diagnosis was torn rotator cuff. Now first available was June 18. The gentleman came back and said he couldn't do that as we spoke to Heather on Monday, but we would hear something. No one has called. Even if someone called and said we haven't heard from clinic, that would be better than no response. Very disappointed. We feel like we are being penalized for being a new patient.

I thought it was weird that I'd get an allergic reaction so late but I took Benadryl anyway. It didn't help. By Saturday evening it looked really bad so I reached out to Dr. Bonman to see if I needed to go to urgent care. She got on a virtual visit with me within the hour and diagnosed my INFECTION (not allergic reaction!) and prescribed me antibiotics. It was so quick and so easy. She saved me from having to drag my 6 month-old to urgent care on a Saturday evening right around bedtime. I could not be more grateful for her urgency in seeing me, her professionalism and expertise. My arm was feeling better by Sunday afternoon!

It was evident immediately that she did not see them just as patients, but as people who had lived long and rich lives and were still valuable . She assessed their needs and provided personalized treatment plans, monitoring them weekly while making herself available to them and to me as their only daughter whenever needed. She probably spent more time cumulatively with them than all of the doctor visit hours combined in their lifetimes. If she doesn't have all the answers, she tirelessly seeks other colleagues and medical professionals to gain input before rendering a treatment plan or providing options. Dr. Bonman personalizes her outstanding professionalism with a sincere desire to get to know her patients and their families, and she has shared many of her own life experiences that have helped us in making decisions for my parents. Her expertise and personal care prompted us to begin using her as our family physician which ranges in age from 18 to 63. The rapport that she established immediately with our teenager is equally as outstanding as that wimy elderly parents. Location wise, Lakeside Medical Associates resides inside a building which houses other medical organizations which can help further your diagnosis, including Quest Diagnostics and Baylor Radiology. Nothing was better than being able to get X-rays done without having to leave the building. There are also other medical services in the facilities, including various pediatric care. So really, if you use Lakeside Medical Associates as your primary Adult care, they have other groups available for the whole family. So for anyone looking for a new primary physician, I would recommend Lakeside Medical Associates. The whole of the staff are skilled, personable, and professional. There were times when her waiting room was overflowing. I think it was then that I realized what a Gem she was. Can you imagine your waiting room overflowing day after day and still treating each patient like they were her only patient. She has always taking the time to understand my needs. Thankfully, those crazy days are over and usually when you have an appointment, there is little to no waiting. I have moved several counties away now, but still use Dr Davis as my Doctor. I scheduled what was supposed to be a preventive wellness visit as a self-pay patient. During the appointment, I was not informed that discussing routine or ongoing health topics would convert the visit into a separately billable "dual visit" with additional charges. There was no advance notice, no cost disclosure, and no opportunity to decline those added services. What makes this more frustrating is that the so-called "ongoing condition discussion" they later cited was limited to the doctor briefly asking -- as I was getting up to leave -- whether I needed any prescription refills. That was the extent of it. There was no separate evaluation, no new complaint, and no dedicated problem-focused exam. After receiving the bill, I filed a formal complaint. The organization stated they conducted not one but two "comprehensive reviews," yet at no point did anyone contact me to ask what actually occurred during the visit. Their investigation relied entirely on internal documentation and staff input, without speaking to the patient involved. They acknowledged this but said patient interviews are not standard for billing reviews -- which is concerning when the dispute centers on what was actually communicated to the patient. Both reviews concluded the charges were appropriate and declared the matter closed, without addressing the core issue of disclosure and consent for additional self-pay charges. My takeaway is that this may not be limited to self-pay patients -- it was only caught in my case because, as a self-pay patient, I carefully reviewed the itemized bill. Many patients with insurance may never see or question how a visit was coded or billed. Greater upfront transparency about when a preventive visit becomes separately billable would prevent situations like this. I'm sharing this so other patients can go in better informed than I was.

I started using his associate whom I never really cared for. But after a couple of visits, I did come to feel comfortable with him and realized he was a really good doctor. We'll after about a year he moved away, and so my search for another GP was on again. It worked out well though as I ended up moving myself. I did a lot of research and decided to give Dr Washburn a try. Yes he is quiet, and doesn't trade jokes with you, but I would rather have a doctor that concentrates on me and my medical needs and not ask me how my cousin Eddie is doing or ask me if I saw the football game last night. Dr Washburn listens to you, let's you do the talking, and doesn't interrupt you . It's a busy office, but I've never felt rushed there, and he's not there to judge you. He listens and suggests what would work best for your situation medically and personally. And he has always fit me in when he can, sometimes same day, if I have an unexpected situation come up. He cares about you as a person and not a number or a bother. And the front desk and office staff are great.
