Great Medical PCP in Corona NY Area... Dr. Celestin. I respect the reviews written before the…read morepandemic. But let's turn the page and start anew. Just like our lives will start anew once COVID-19 is stabilized. I can be very critical and outspoken especially with Medical Facilities and Doctors as well as staff. I needed to find a new PCP as my old one didn't take my type insurance. I researched the Doctor-Dr. Celestin. As my main concern is my health needs. I prearranged and gave all my info online before my appointment. So I could just go in and see the Dr. We'll... I must say they were thorough. I got there 45 mins before appt. I asked to fill out last minute details ( which I think should be added to the online paperwork). But the young lady that took care of me did everything rapidly and it coincided with the time I would be called. I was taken into a private office, where every question imaginable was asked about my health and presenting issues. The Nurse that took care of me was kind and understanding. A Perfectionist. She did an EKG and Urinalysis was also expected. Another young lady did my blood work. Which made me happy that they have lab work done there , instead of going else where. I was ready to see the Dr. I told him I'm a good person, but a lousy Patient. As I've never been sick in my life, so as I was growing older I thought myself invincible. Me???? Get sick? Need Doctors? Hell no! But here I was trying to get the best Dr. I could to help me grow old gracefully. Well..... Dr. Celestin turned out to be the BEST. Intelligent, Empathic, listened to me, respected with my thoughts and opinions, though he was the Dr. Lol.!!!!! What I like most he didn't turn to medications immediately, he weighed the options and explained that there are different ways of looking at an illness or diagnosis. When he started speaking about the function and mechanisms of why things may be happening to me and organ functions. It opened my eyes to a whole new world. I loved that he broke things down in plan English and lay mens terms. I left that office motivated, satisfied, educated and happy. There's a medication he changed and gave me only a 30 supply because he wants to see how I react to it. Instead of giving me a 90 day supply which I may not use if it doesn't work and that's a waste of money. I need some test, the front desk gave me the referrals to make appts when I'm ready. All in all I have to say , they have a good set up there. I'm not saying that things don't happen and one day I may have wait. Or things may not go as I thought. Just bear in mind we are only human. Things happen. And we have to slow down because life in NY is hectic enough. This is my experience after not seeing a Dr. for a couple years due to COVID. I hope you give them another try. Millie

Never go see this doctor. Let's start with the clinic. As you as you walk in it looks like a third world clinic that they just assembled a desk a computer so it can be the reception area. The whole are looks like the inside of a house which they didn't have the creativity to make it look like a clinic. They have a 20inch tv which plays Spanish tv all day. The staff : is the worst. No type of common sense at all. I wonder why everyone in the clinic is from Dominican Republic? I mean cmon no one else applied for the job? Very suspect! When you call the staff they will have you waiting on hold for 20-30 min and sometimes just hang up your call so you would have to call again and when you do they will play this automated machine that says in case of an emergency go to the hospital. The doctor: after that whole bad experience you get to see him and literally has a desk and computer. Nothing else. It looks like they told him here you get to be in this room 8x8 and get to play doctor. He dismisses you so quick because for him you are simply a number. Never again. You have been warned !
