Overall 3 Stars…read more First time online ordering and eating their food. 4 Stars for Mobile app. It was easy to use. Lots of options and had some deals. I ordered the 50 piece chicken where you have options of Boneless, Traditional (Bones) or Mix n Match. I opted for the Mix and Match This particular order gave me 4 sauces, 2 Large Seasoned Fries, 2 Large Veggie (carrots, celery or mixed); I chose more fries cuz' we had veggies, and 4 salad dressings. Food: 2.5 Stars Though the chicken was hot and fresh, the sauces were bland. I selected the Garlic Parmesan (dry) and Plain (boneless) for kids, Korean (wet) and Hot and Honey (dry). The boneless breading was ok but the bread to chicken ratio was too much. I The garlic Parmesan had the most flavor of the three options. The Korean was more sweet than hot and I thought the Hot and Honey was a wet sauce. Plus, both flavors were not hot or considered mild. The seasoned fries were good but had too much of the seasoning. Definitely need a beverage of choice to cleanse the palate. As one of the side order option, I choose the Cajun Fried Corn. Sliced cob of corn deep fried and seasoned with Cajun flavors. The was the best item from all the dishes. The price was comparable for the amount of food ordered. 3.75 Stars - Service: the online ordering said the food would be ready within 15 minutes and I arrived on time. However, it took another 10 minutes to complete the transaction. Because it was late, the employee automatically gave us a Large Seasoned Fries for free. Which was very kind of him. 3 Stars - Ambiance - the small restaurant has only a few tables where you can eat inside. Also, they are a cashless restaurant so make sure to have a CC or Debit card. Cashless establishments help to reduce theft (internal and external) and able to log and view transactions a lot easier. So, would I order again, probably, but I would stick with the Traditional style and would review the sauces a little more carefully. Enjoy

Came here with my son-in-law after the egg bowl…read more We were able to be seated immediately in the back area booths near the beer wall. I decided to try the Red Beans and Rice (red beans marinated for 24 hours, simmered with sausage, ribeye, and vegetables, and served over rice). While the ribeye added to the traditional dish, I was not a fan of the overall end result. It actually seemed like the whole dish had been cooked for 24 hours until there was almost no moisture left. The rice part was fine. My son-in-law decided to try the fried catfish I had been considering. While cooked well and had good flavor, the batter was not the expected cornmeal style normally associated with fried catfish. They were also out of the particular beer he had been wanting to try. After multiple attempts to pick one from the menu, the server said it might be easier to show you what we do have on tap. Service on this visit also left a lot to be desired. From the delay taking the order, having to flag a server down for drink refills and even to get the check. It was not busy enough to cause the service we received. We had been before with my daughter and wife and had a much better experience. So I am not sure if things have gone downhill or just an anomaly. The burger I had on the previous visit was very good and the Rosey Chips (house made potato chips) were pretty good too. My daughter is a big fan of their fried pickles appetizer. Will. Give them another shot, yes but there are plenty of other options we will likely go to first.

Overall 3.5 Stars for food, service and ambiance…read more Food: 3.5 stars For dinner we stopped at this local Mexican restaurant. It isn't your local typical Mexican food where the food is covered in queso or the ground beef taste "bland". Most of the foods were regional type dishes but you will find your favorites such as fajitas, tacos and burritos. We ordered the Loco Rice - grilled chicken, rice, covered in queso a grilled onions and jalapeños. The other two dishes were the Carne Asada, grilled flank steak, cooked frijoles (beans) / rice, grilled leeks and jalapeño and Grilled Cameron's (shrimp) w rice, avacados and diced tomatoes. All were 3.5 stars. Nothing stood out to be outstanding but could have been with a little bit more acidity (lime / lemon) or cumin / cayenne seasoning. The food were cooked well but it just missed "something". The outstanding part of our meal was the salsa. It was seasoned well and it wasn't your water-down tomato based salsa with a hint of chopped onions or cilantro and lime. Service was a little bit better than average and server was good but we had to ask a couple of times for certain items. And it wasn't too busy at the time. The restaurant has a bar with multiple tables and booths and can get pretty loud during "happy hour" or dinner time. It can be fun with a lot of people or hanging at the bar. With specialized drinks, the bar tender is happy to make it for you. Though we didn't get any speciality drinks. We will come again to try other meal options and review once again. I think the restaurant can get a higher review because they have different regional meal options.
