I always get the pulled pork grilled cheese - amazing flavor, pork is always tender. They have a variety of tacos you can mix and match with your choice of side. Excellent. They did have a wide variety of BBQ sauces to choose from, which was a nice touch and helped make the pork a little more enjoyable. Overall, it was an experience, but unfortunately, it just wasn't the BBQ we were hoping for.

First off, it's counter service, which isn't abnormal but given the size of this spot, It was surprising. It felt like McAllister's or Newk's in that way. They have beer, huge plus. But here's the kicker, it's Cajun/Creole style cuisine, so they have all of the goods. Red beans, Po-Boys, etc. But you can also get chicken tenders, fried catfish, etc. Man, I loved ALL of it! I didn't live in Starkvegas, so it could be a bit of a hike and when Amber was around, we didn't really eat a lot of food like this either. That said, I'd be here at least monthly if I had lived closer.

The cheese fries needed more cheese and the food needed less salt. The service was great and our waitress was helpful! I did not see desserts on the menu but after reading other Yelp reviews I saw they had a mini skillet cookie (probably like one per person) the skillet cookies were sooooo good! Jacob P. Was our server and he was awesome. He explained the menu to us and gave us feedback on what he would recommend of the options we gave. He was constantly checking on us to make sure we had everything we needed. We started with the chips and queso. It was good, but nothing to write home about. Just your normal chips and queso. I had the catfish lagniappe and it was SUPERB! I loved the blackened catfish over the grits with the yummy crawfish sauce. The flavor combinations were on point and I throughly enjoyed every single bite! My husband had the Caribbean steak and really loved the flavor of the steak, but it was cooked a little more than the medium he asked for. The flavor made up for it though and he cleaned his plate. We both had the honey bacon brussel sprouts which were very tender and tasty as well. Pro tip, make sure to get all the yummy sauce that settles in the bottom. My son had the chicken Alfredo pasta along with a Caesar salad and he enjoyed his as well. If you're ever in the Starkville area, I highly recommend you give this place a try.

It was pretty crowded as expected on a weekend so I decided to just sit at the bar. The place itself was clean, nice, and obviously well kept. Some of the other reviews are what sparked my interest, and I can honestly say that I'm glad I showed up. I told the bartender it was my first time in and told her I was looking for a steak. The one she suggested had a small sweet marinade to it. I'm not really a sweet steak guy but I went with it.... and man was it really good. Cooked to perfection (medium rare) and tasted super fresh. The Mac and cheese was also solid, as was the sweet tea. Now... the chicken noodle soup: I loved it. Big soup here and although this soup was not "brothy" at all, it was thick and creamy, so good. Overall, I can't wait to go back to Starkville if it's on the schedule next spring because if it is, I know where I'll be returning for a meal.

For me, the five stars goes to the surprisingly great food. They offer free pizza on your birthday: one large pizza with one topping for every (I think) 4 people so if you're with a large group, pizzas for all! The crack dip is always a necessary appetizer. The meat was flavored but not charred and caramelized which is the appeal of this type of meat. The Korean ribs plate had same Marinade as the combination vermicelli bowl. Not good.
