Most leading brands of motorcycles are sold here. All variations and colors for everyone. My friend bought one from here and I checked out the place with him. And decided to buy mine from there too. Honda CBR 125R. I was particular about getting a black one. Thanks to Ian Harrington from Sales department who got my wish fulfilled. He got all the finance documents ready and got the specific color just as I requested and let me know in advance about any delays that might be involved in getting it. If you feel like you need a Honda/Triumph/or several other brands, feel free to post a question on their website and they'll get in touch as quickly as possible. I must say, the entire process of buying the bike from requesting a particular model, arranging finance and collecting the bike, was so smooth, that all I had to do was provide the details necessary for the finance application Ian kept me informed throughout the process. And now I have what I wanted! I'm very pleased with how easy they've made it feel. I totally recommend Metropolis for the sales bit. I'll know more about their services over the coming years, so I'll keep you posted with updates.

Staff are clued up and clear on what they are selling and provide good advice where needed. Huge site re amount of various bikes on offer for purchase and test ride and nice size shop and advice re helmet and other biking gear. Does get quite busy at times, but the staff are good at managing footfall and offering good customer service throughout.

May experience of this place was excellent. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, a huge range of accessories and they even sell customised bikes to order as well as their own dealer specials. To top it off on the enthusiasm front, they also run a racing team! If you're in the market for a Triumph, these are the guys you should buy it from!

This is the Triumph main dealer for the area and having always been a lover of Triumph motorcycles…read moreboth old and new, went here to buy my new Triumph. First impressions are good. The showroom and shop are well stocked and the staff are generally welcoming and knowlegable. They were also prepared to haggle over the price of the bike I wanted and I do love a bit of haggling! All was well and I colected the bike on the day, they even arranged for someone (after a bit of a wait) to collect me from the station. I didn't find out until I picked it up that on all new bikes you can no longer turn the lights off. Not the dealers fault but manufacturers are being encouraged to follow an EU directive, not law, but how long until it will be? If the EU have their way all cars will soon have to follow suit!! No really! Incresed fuel consumption all round then?! My problems started soon after I rode off the forecourt. There were some small faults not really worth mentioning but the most serious one was brake fluid leaking from the upper resevoir which in turn blew onto the petrol tank. I was not happy, especially when Jack Lilleys' said they could not look at it for 2 weeks and suggested wrapping a piece of rag around it. Obviously I was not able to use my brand new bike during this time and the afternoon before it was due to go in I got a message to say they were unable to now pick it up and I would have to re book! When it eventually did get collected, not by the dealership as they had promised, I had to get the RAC to do it, it sat at the dealership while Triumph pondered what they were going to do. Their problem was that brake fluid and paint don't mix too well so it would need a new petrol tank. Not cheap, but then not my problem! So I was without the use of the bike for around a month and then had to take it back twice more for other problems which they failed to rectify on one visit then denied that the bike had been there at all because they didn't have a record of it!! I'm told things are better now following a change of personell, time will tell. Triumph are great bikes to ride and I do hope that Jack Lilley do get their act together.

We landed on About Town as it was just outside London proper (we didn't want to battle city traffic) and seemed to have a good selection of bikes for hire. We couldn't have been more satisfied with our experience! About Town is a small, but very complete and professionally operated establishment. We handled all of our preparations and reservations via email, to which the About Town staff (Anna and Mike) always attended to promptly. While my wife was disappointed that her Ducati Monster 696 wasn't available, she settled for a Honda CBF600 while I reserved a BMW F650GS. On the day of our rental, we took the train out of London to Wadsworth and somewhat apprehensively showed up with helmets in tow to the About Town shop. Our fears were quickly put to rest when we were greeted by Anna with a warm hello and were quickly walked through our paperwork while our bikes were rolled out front. Mike walked us through the bikes, gave us directions out of town, and we were ready to head out. As an added bonus, due to threatening weather that day, Mike spontaneously offered and threw in (at no charge) a top bag and 2 sets of rainwear (including one slicker off of his own bike!). Now that's the kind of service you don't often find these days. And it's that kind of service that made our experience with About Town so pleasurable. Needless to say, we highly recommend About Town. (And we also recommend the ride down and back to Brighton!) We look forward to a return trip, where we can hopefully have more time to tour the wonderful roads of England.

Sometimes it takes a problem for one to fully appreciate a companies commitment to service…read more In preparation to my visit to London, I contacted several bike hire businesses, and being on a tight budget, I was looking for a deal. Companies promoting "budget bikes" were not helpful when I asked for details, so I decided to contact About Town and pay what it took to get just the bike I wanted, a Triumph T100. The bike ran like a dream, and was in good condition. However, on the morning it was due back at the shop, I was unable to start it. Assuming I had done something to run the battery down, I got the assistance from a neighbour to boost it. I contacted About Town to let them know of my dificulties, in the hope that they would not charge me for an extra day when the bike was returned late. After some time, we got the bike started, and I set off to bring the bike back. Unfortunately, the GPS brought me to the wrong place, and frustrated I stopped to figure out where I was and how I could get to where I was going. When I tried to resume my journey, the bike would not start again, so I once again called about town and told them of my troubles. The bike was at this point over 2 hours late, and I was very concerned that I would be charged for an extra day. They sent a truck to pick me up right away, and when he arrived we discovered that the problem was with the starter switch. They were very apologetic, and seemed almost disappointed that I was unable to accept a different bike for another day at no charge. They gave me a substantial discount, and went above and beyond to ensure that I left a satisfied customer. I am very impressed to their commitment to customer service, and I hope to be able to rent from them on future visits to the UK. P.S. They didn't know it at the time, but I am the president of a riding club in Toronto with a membership of 800+. I will be giving a strong recommendation on our website as well.
