They have your typical categories of books but also a section of local authors and local interest. The kids' section looked well organized and stocked as well. This is no fault of the owners but some families were letting their kids run around and then wrestle each other on the sofa. PSA: Don't let your kids run around unchecked in a public establishment.

We appreciate that they also sell some second-hand titles along with a variety of gifts and products made by local craftspeople, and there are comfy sports to sit down and read a bit. We can always find something we want when we stop in here. The staff is always happy to assist, and their location in the midst of downtown Brevard is convenient for most shoppers.

A bit too cool for downtown Blue Ridge, honestly, but I'm really glad it's here. Hopefully it becomes a permanent fixture to the area as the town expands and generates more tourism, it would suck to see a place as cool as this go out of business because of a lack of traffic, which I'm afraid of!

**DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY**…read more I had reserved the 2 Jackson River Homes for our annual Oktoberfest weekend back in early May. I received an email from them yesterday, Sept 29, that my reservation for Oct 7-9 had been terminated due to the fact they had ended their contract with the owner of the cabins. I got in contact with the owner and she told me she ended the contract because A-1 had not paid her for multiple reservations. She even sued them and took them to small claims court **this is all public record and can be verified** The owner was so nice and understanding of the awful situation but unfortunately there was nothing she could do because the cabins had already been booked through another avenue for the same weekend. She also told me she ended their contract months ago but for whatever reason, I was told a WEEK before our weekend. I will NEVER rent through this company again and hope no one else ever has this issue. A-1 told me they will give me a refund but that's in progress now...

That the wanted an extra $250 in cleaning fees and they would take us to court to get it. I do pride myself on bathing and we had no pets. I would not waste my time with this company, they are trying to bully and get more money out of people.
