Hey! This place is great! Very impressive/attractive store with a TON of comics, graphic novels and figures. Drawers are push to open, it took me forever to figure out but it's a clever mechanic! And of course, what comic store would be complete without a MTG section? They've got benches and card mats in the back :) so get your Black Lotus on. There's something here for everyone and if you're having trouble the staff will gladly assist! A bit too cool for downtown Blue Ridge, honestly, but I'm really glad it's here. Hopefully it becomes a permanent fixture to the area as the town expands and generates more tourism, it would suck to see a place as cool as this go out of business because of a lack of traffic, which I'm afraid of! read more

I've ordered books from them online and from their eBay store and have always been impressed with their packaging.

The size of the store was a bit deceiving from the outside, thinking it would be a tiny shop... but it's a very large space filled with comics and collectibles. I was pleasantly surprised!! Everything is organized and well maintained and though we didn't buy any comics, their Funko Pop assortment is wonderful and fairly priced. My son collects them and MMC had so many that we haven't been able to find in stores - it was hard to choose just a few! I've been to many comic shops along the East Coast and this was such an awesome little gem. Also, hands down, they have the best looking drawers that I've ever seen!! :) read more

This place is awesome. No staff pressure, or anyone hovering over you. Lots to see and peruse through. The store has a nice feel and vibe. The manager was very nice and professional with questions. Last time my parents visited me in Atlanta, I wanted to take them out of the city, since they are very much small town people, and enjoy being out in the country rather than the crowds and traffic of Atlanta. It was my first visit to Blue Ridge, but I'd been wanting to explore more of North Georgia for a while. My parents loved the atmosphere of the town and we enjoyed exploring it and the mountains. My brother and I went off on our own for a bit and while exploring the town we were surprised to find a comic shop in the heart of downtown Blue Ridge, as it didn't really seem to gel with the rural small town vibe of the rest of the town. On going into the store though I had to rethink that because Mountain Man Comics absolutely fits into the rest of the town. The decor is all wood panneling and rustic details. It's like they styled the shop after a manly hunting lodge, but filled it with all sorts of nerdy artifacts. Also, I've seen small town comic shops before and normally the selection is weak because they're usually dealing with a smaller storage space and not as much customer interest as in a big city. That doesn't seem to be the case here. The selection was outstanding and because they keep so much stuff in these beautifully wood burned cabinets, I kept discovering more stuff around the shop that I hadn't before. The staff was helpful and friendly as well, although I didn't have a whole lot of interaction with them. I'm not sure how long the place has been open, although judging from the Yelp reviews it's at least over a year. I hope these guys do well and make it for the long haul. Next time I'm in Blue Ridge I'll definitely be stopping by here. read more

Wicked cool comic store in Blue Ridge. And for oldies like me who are Archie aficionados (who appreciate the original classic version and not the crappy modern kind!), this place has a very nice selection! And they are super awesome and nice guys too. I had a crisis with my phone and they royally saved my behind! Seriously, I can't say thanks enough. Did not expect to find a comic book shop amidst the requisite North Georgia antiques shops and gift shops. I visit Blue Ridge about once a year and now make it a point to stop by Mountain Man Comics. They have an awesome collection of statues and figurines for everything from Batman to Deadpool to X-Men and more. I'm not big into comic books but I enjoy checking out the cover art and flipping through the graphic novels. This is a comic shop done right. read more

I was in the north Georgia mountains and stopped in this great comic book shop in a sleepy little town and was wowed at how cool it was. Among many things, I saw a book I had been wanting but didn't pick it up because it was so big and I didn't want to carry it around all day. I kept thinking about that oversized Artist Edition hardcover and wished I had gotten it when I got back home. I called the shop a few weeks later and the Employees were super helpful and shipped the book to me next day with a great attention to packing. Very happy with my purchase and how it arrived. Was just in wasting time before I met a client in the area and looking for something new for my nephew. This place will blow you away. From the filing of the comics to all the statues this place is a must see. Overheard the owner (?) talking to some people selling comics and he was extremely straight forward. I just went to Blue Ridge for a weekend getaway with my family and several friends. While waiting for lunch we went into Mountain Man Comics hoping that I could get a few comics to add to my collection. I couldn't believe the selection! Awesome books (they had a ton of Silver Age X-Men...what I was looking for) at awesome prices. Very friendly staff that could talk comics, pop culture and even sports with ease. I will make this my first place stop in the future. Possible the best comic book store I have been in while collecting for over 30 years! read more
