I have visited this library branch twice now. Once for the wrap up book sale at the end of the…read more'25-'26 Books and Brews adult winter reading program, and more recently for an author event with Kevin Wilson. There is a decent sized parking lot but for that Books and Brews sale it was not nearly adequate. But for daily use, and for the author event, it was plenty ample to handle the patrons. It is clean and modern looking, bright and large and spacious inside. The back room that hosted the book sale and the author event is big enough for special events and has a wall of windows that give a pleasing view of greenery and plants outside. Makes you feel like you are in the middle of the forest. Staff at every LFPL branch are kind and welcoming. I can only assume I will be back here again soon enough, and you should pay them a visit too.

The exterior is futuristic, definitely not giving the vibes of a stuffy library. And the kids space really impressed me. The shelves are shorter, easier for little hands to grab books and there are all sorts of kid-size reading nooks to climb into. That is one thing that really stood out -- smaller spaces carved into the large indoor area of this library. Even with a horde of children running around, I saw several adults able to find spots to quietly enjoy a book. Parking may be a bit of a challenge for big events; we had to park across the street at the Target. But on normal days I bet the lot is easy to access. What a jewel of a space!

My 3rd born daughter was attending her first dance class across the road when we decided to explore the area. This freshly updated and nice library was open to 8pm so it made a perfect spot to to waste some time and have a bit of educational fun for me, my wife and other 3 daughters. Very spacious and well organized library. You walk In to a large area with computers and seating and the rest of the sections are around that area and clearly marked and separated making it easy to find your area. We had our younger ones with us so we found the adorably decorated young children's section in the very back corner and let the youngest play and look at books while we relaxed on the chairs. Overall nice library that offers everything from books, computer access, musical cd, dvd, blue rays and more. Very sleek and spacious and updated place. My daughter appeared to enjoy dance so this may become our hang out spot on days she has her practices.

It is of the newer model it moved from one part of Fairdale to another part more in the central part of town. It offers a wide variety of books movies cassettes and just an opportunity to go read and learn in private. I have taken my daughters here many times to play in to check out different books throughout the years. She showed me the DVDs that were recently returned but not quite put back and, sure enough, it was there. She also recommended a few other DVDs in a similar genre as the DVD i was checking out. I also picked up a couple of free paper books for kids that this library had available- my nieces loved them!

This is my home library and has been for almost 40 years. My husband used to take our daughter…read morethere 30+ years ago and encouraged her love of reading that she still has to this day. She actually volunteered there in middle school when she needed service hours and stayed on as a volunteer long after she had her required hours. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Since covid they have been so accommodating by bringing books to your car (that I order on line, they call to say they are available and pick up time scheduled). There are multiple programs available at the library, book clubs, kids programming, computer programming, etc). This is a great resources for our community. Love the summer reading program for children. Street parking.

Little free library is the worlds largest book sharing program. Think of a take a penny leave a…read morepenny type program except it's with books spread throughout the country. Our city of Louisville has several of these. Way too many off the top of my head to count. This particular one which is charter number 51730 is located in the someone lot of Saint Rita's Catholic parish off Preston Highway in the okolona area of Louisville. If you drive straight to the middle portion of the parking lot right before you see the baseball fields you will see this location. Overall like most little free library it is a doll concept. This particular location was chocked full of books. So not sure if it is just used a whole bunch or if the school or church fills it quite often.

Its also the first time Ive left them there without me. (They're great kids) I seen my children walking back through the neighborhood unprotected after a short time AND I NEVER CALLED THE LIBRARY, NEVER SPOKE TO MY KIDS AND DID NOT GIVE ANY ADULT CONVERSATION WHATSOEVER. IVE NEVER CALLED THE LIBRARY BECAUSE IM ALWAYS THERE MYSELF WITH MY CHILDREN, I EVEN HAVE TALKS with the security guard. But this was NOT OK. Apparently a woman had called and told the librarian to send my kids home. (I never gave anyone permission to speak for me and my kids)The phone calls should be listened to by the children as well to confirm if its their parent. Its scary to know that just anyone can call and tell them to send your kids outside. We must have a better system. I found out that a jealous mom of two other kids who constantly live at the library wit no parent did it to be spiteful. No body should be able to manipulate children at the library. This place is unsafe.

The architecture and design are great. It's on the smaller size, but everything is easy to find and the interior decor add a nice. There are multiple areas to sit and work and plenty of outlets! More than the one close to my house. Although it doesn't have the largest collection of books, magazine, and videos, there is still plenty to choose from and has been laid out very easily. There's a small work room if you want a private area although as a whole it's relatively quiet and easy to complete work at! Definitely will be making a trip back here to study again.
