TLDR: flower arrangement online did not match flower arrangement delivered. Carnations instead of lilies. Highly disappointed. Ordered Christmas flowers online for my parents. My mother loves lilies so I always make sure to pick an arrangement that includes lilies. Unfortunately, when her arrangement arrived, not a single lily was used. Instead it appears carnations were substituted. I understand that sometimes certain flowers are not available and may be substituted, but the substitution should be of EQUAL value. A lily is not equivalent to a carnation. In fact, my mother hates carnations because she think they are a cheap flower. I paid $150. Very disappointed. I have included photos of the arrangement I purchased online and what was actually delivered. Will not buy from Mt Scott Flowers again. I had sent an email to Mt. Scott Flowers hoping to hear back from a customer service representative by now. A simple apology or we had a new florist or we would like to right this wrong. The basket they sent to our neighbor was not what we ordered. This basket was supposed to look simple and elegant but yet it looks busy and had no type of passion, just thrown in leaves where ever they could fill in gaps. Nor did it represent any type of we're sorry for your loss!!! I copied and pasted the email I sent to the store (still no response) and my order receipt as well, for future warning to anyone who might think to use this florist. I cannot say enough good about Mt. Scott Flowers. I went in with an idea of what I wanted for a coworkers unexpected memorial. I gave them colors and a time I needed them delivered by. When they were delivered on time, I could not have been more happy with what they came up with. The flowers were beautiful and the fragrance was outstanding. It helped finalize the scene I had already set. They were definitely the finishing piece. We will be ordering from them again, and I hope that others who read this will also take a chance on this flower shop. I was really in a pickle to get my daughters lei for her graduation on time since the one I order wouldn't be here on time for her walk. This was a Sunday afternoon so nothing was open and I called multiple flower shops but they were all closed but I came across this wonderful store who could make it for me in just one hour! I was thrilled. I had such a hard time finding the shop because of the rush that I was in (cutting it close to the time of her walking) but when I walked into the shop, the leis was already made and there were such beautiful exotic flowers there that I asked if they can make me a bouquet as well and they did! I love using local businesses. I look for reasons to give a pat on the back. It's sad that the first thing I noticed was brown on the nearly all the rose petals. Looking at promo photos, my kids spent well over $100 on a Mothers Day bouquet. I was home when it arrived first thing in the morning, so it didn't sit in weather. Several of the flowers felt limp. I added water to top it off and since, have cut stems and refreshed the water. Today, at 48 hours, the hydrangea are wilting as well as some of the filler greens/babies breath. I don't want to let my kids know this is disappointing, and I hope I'm wrong on how much they spent. I haven't used MSF before, but I'm hoping this is an anomaly. Just be sure to ask questions when ordering, and let them know you'll be checking in with the recipient and getting photos to follow up. read more

I wish I can give Mt Scott Flowers a ten-star review. I would highly recommend this florist if you are in area. I especially thank Virginia, Maru and Jose for helping me rushing an order yesterday. We live in CA and ordered 2 sympathy wreaths via TeleFlora to a friend whose family member passed away and the funeral is in Happy Valley, OR. TeleFlora canceled one of my two orders without notifying me. When I found out about that, the service would end in 2 hours later. Frantically, I called Mt Scott Flowers (who delivered my first order) and Virginia answered the phone. She was really nice and professional to put in a rush order for me. She and Maru was able to put together a very pretty wreath and Jose delivered before the service ended. All in less than 2 hours! It is unbelievable to me that the person putting the bouquet would think it's okay to send out wilting / dying flowers. Very disappointed with Mt. Scott flowers. I usually purchase my flowers from Trader Joe's or have a New Seasons florist make me beautiful bouquets. However my daughter was turning 13 and I thought it would be special to have flowers delivered to her. The person who took my order over the phone was very friendly and she told me they would put together a very nice bouquet. I also asked them to come AFTER 1pm so my daughter would be home to receive them. The day of delivery the delivery driver showed up before 12:30! I was so saddened to find out my daughter wouldn't be home when they were delivered. The bouquet was filled with the cheapest flowers you could possibly have. I didn't pay a lot, as it was for a 13 year old but for $25 I did expect 1-2 nicer flowers like a rose. It nearly was all carnations. It's too bad it didn't live up to my expectation or what I would have thought would make it a more valuable purchase. I guess I will stick to New Seasons and Trader Joe's! For $25 I can get some really nice flowers! Oh! And they charged me $10 for a 4 min drive. I should have waited to get a hold of other places I found online that offered free delivery. A group of us ordered a high end arrangement of flowers for a friend who experienced the unexpected death of an adult child. Mt Scott Flowers advised us to order one large and two side arrangements instead of an unwieldy large arrangement. We took their advice. We discussed flower selection and ended up using many tropical flowers. They did a spectacular job. The arrangements worked perfectly for the home as well as the funeral parlor, and they will last a long time. Really bad experience at this flower shop. I ordered a large arrangement for Valentine's. It looked like it was well done; two days later all roses died and when we took it apart to clean the vase we noticed that most roses were cut too short and were barely in contact with water. This order was taken and done by the owner, an older lady who seemed more interested in talking and asking questions that were irrelevant when placing the order. I buy flowers frequently and so far this place did NOT impressed me. You might get a better product at 7 Eleven or Fred Meyer. Try at your own risk. read more

In addition my parents ordered a large box of chocolates for $25 and I received a $4.99 tiny box of macadamia nuts. Undeniable for delivery. Unbelievably disrespectful.. PLEASE READ REVIEW So get this, I get off work a little early yesterday so I could stop by Mt. Scott Flowers to surprise my wife on her 31st birthday with flowers delivered before we left for dinner plans at Portland City Grill. I spoke with the ladies at the store and together Marium and I picked out flowers. Here and there she had questions that she asked an older women who would respond very short and sharply. (I do not know her name but she was the one who asked me if I wanted delivery and told me that she would personally deliver them after 5p when she closed up the shop. I mentioned that id be great if they could come sooner than that and they agreed someone would (possibly marium or the other lady that was working) would bring them by sooner. I thought that was awesome however, i couldnt have guessed what would actually happen. So I finished up the transaction with Marium and was off to home to get ready for the night. To my surprise when I got home my little dream cake was not home but in fact out with her Grandparents. I thought"Shoot, I better call Mt Scott Flowers to let them know that after 5p would actually be better." So I called Mt. Scott Flowers and Marium answered the phone. I explained that she wasn't here but would be back around 5p and that it would be great if the one lady could bring them by after she "closed up the shop" (her words) Marium put me on hold just a brief moment and them came back and said it would be no problem. I said great we'll see you soon. 530p come and goes (dinner plans at 630. This was mention while I was in the store and when I called and spoke to Marium. ) 6p comes and goes... (this is about when my wife (standing there beautiful in her dress) starts to ask me if I am ready. (Obviously I was ready, suited up and waiting for her) -----i began to call My. Scott Flowers. --------we live on a road that has the same house number as the people one street over. I mentioned this to Marium at check out when she was writing down my address and wrote the other street instead of mine. I told this happens pretty often and that I get there mail all the time. 615p comes and goes I began think they were delivered to the other street and after another phone call to Mt. Scott Flowers, without saying anything I jumped in my car and drove a street over to see if they had been delivered there. After a short chat with the neighbors i jumped back into my car and went back home where i expected my wife for sure knew something was up.... (so much for a suprise right?) 7p I call My Scott Flowers again and left a message saying that I understand things happen but if you folks were now not going to deliver the flowers, than a simple phone call for the heads up should have been the least thing they could have done, as I was out of excusses why we hadnt left for dinners plans that we were supposed to be at 30 minutes ago. At this point my wife asks me who do I keep calling? Honestly folks i had nothin'.... didn't know what to say to her. The surprise I paid for to see my wife's beautiful smile wasn't there. Didn't know if at this point they were coming at all. Hadn't heard a word from Mt. Scott Flowers and was beginning to feel this sort of fowl mood come over me which was definitely not something I wanted her to see.Yet i kept walking by her passing on phone calls that were not being answered completely distracted with something that was never going to happen despite all my efforts. 735p my wife asks me what in the heck is going on, are we going to dinner or not? I finally broke and told her I had gotten off from work early so I could stop by Mt. Scott Flowers to surprise her with a bouquet I had personally picked out for her. Fast forward to today....flowers never showed. It's was about 11a and I was on the phone with my wife for a moment while I was at work,when she asked me if I ever heard back from Mt. Scott Flower? I said that I hadn't heard a word from them and that I couldn't believe it. I even apologized for letting the distraction take my attention away from her and our plans on her birthday. 1230p the older lady who I mentioned was short and sharp" while answering my and Marum`s questions during my visit calls me. I have never in my life (EVER) even been treated disrespectful from a place of busines. From the tone this lady starts the conversation with. She talked over me ever single time I tried to talk, she talked down to me as though I were stupid so badly that I finally said "look lady, please stop talking over me every time I try to talk and stop treating my like you are speaking down to me. I am the customer and I'd like to finish my thoughts to which she replied that somehow I am not excepting the apology and that in life shit happens. I didn't know what to say. She talked over every time I tried to talk and continued to talk down to me the whole phone call. Ill never go back there. read more

Awful experience! Do not get anything from this business!! I had emergency surgery and my mom wanted to get me a get well plant (they last longer than cut flowers, she says) She ordered a plant to be delivered and paid $45, including delivery. When it came it was very spindly and did not look like it was worth the money she paid for it. All the tops of the stems had been cut off and a few new shoots were growing out the sides, like it had died and they tried to salvage it. I had this plant for ONE DAY and the leaves started turning yellow and dying! I called my mom and told her she was ripped off and that she should get her money back. She called and told them what happened and they were insistant that they would replace the plant. My mom only wanted her money back and had to fight to get it. They made her bring the plant back to them (she lives out of town and had to drive an hour to get it from me and then take it back). HORRIBLE PRODUCT, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! My mom was SO embarrassed, this was supposed to be a nice get-well-soon gift for me. They deserve NO stars. read more
