We tent-camped at Mt. Pisgah Campground for one night in early October, 2023. We had made an advance reservation through Reservations.gov. Our site was B21. Price was a very reasonable $20, or $10 for persons with a NPS Senior Pass. Check-in was easy. (5/5). We arrived after-hours, and were able to find our site easily. The site itself (4/5) was very good. We particularly liked that the site was enclosed by rhododendron bushes; it must be incredible when the flowers are blooming. There was ample room for our Honda Pilot, a picnic table, fire ring, and the pad for our tent. While close to the road, you can't see the tent site from the road. The site is an easy walk to the restroom along the road (NOT an uneven path). Not a 5-star site for a few small reasons. The loop with RVs was behind us, and an RV there was running its generator, seemingly for all allowed hours. Also, previous occupants had cut a path to the adjoining site, which led to our neighbor's picnic table. As a result, there was a lack of privacy. Location of the Mount Pisgah Campground. (5/5). It's very close to a lot of interesting sites on and off the Parkway. We particularly enjoyed the drive towards to Brevard with multiple easy-access waterfalls. It's also very close to the Mt. Pisgah Inn, which has a restaurant, shop, and amazing deck with views of the mountains. Finally, this campground has hot showers! As we were driving the full Parkway, and tent camping along the way, hot showers were much appreciated! The restrooms were clean. (5/5) The campground felt safe. (5/5). read more

Had an awful site. Our site was on the main drag going thru the campground. So each and every car passed us by just a few feet. The restaurant across the road gets 5 STARS! Wonderful mountain trout, cocktails with a beautiful view. The motel room closest to the restaurant has been turned into a nice wine bar. read more

I tent camped in site 28D. It was quite enjoyable, a large grassy site with some shade. It is situated between the shower house across the bridge in loop B and the restroom house in loop D. It is right close to a water Spicket for portable water. It has a bear box that you must use. There was bear scat all along the trails to the bathroom and Bears were sighted in the campground . A person cannot even leave a water bottle out on your table, There are many hikes and beautiful views to take in. I have seen much worse when it comes to cleanliness in the bath houses. read more

My partner and I spent a weekend camping here. The rangers are super friendly and Maintain a really amazing site. We had a nice, little tent site that had everything we needed, and was in between two bath houses. It's within walking distance of several trails and the Mount Pisgah Inn. There's a little country store nearby if you need any wood or ice. We managed the entire wet weekend out here and had a fantastic time! Definitely recommend if you are looking to hike around the area and need a cheap place to camp! read more

We made this our first overnight stop on the Blue Ridge Parkway, based on a friend's recommendation. We arrived at 4:30 on a Monday afternoon to find only one RV spot remaining, in spite of what the board showed at the self-service check-in kiosk. I felt very fortunate to get a spot. A secluded, level, dry one at that. Many others had water running through them, thanks to recent rains. It's a beautiful campground with clean restrooms and showers with ample hot water. No services are available. It's about a mile walk to the lodge and restaurant, which is currently open only to lodge guests, although they do have some grab & go options. read more

My boyfriend and I decided to celebrate our anniversary with a nice, relaxing weekend getaway to Mount Pisgah. I have never been but heard many great things. Being over 3 hours away from where I live, you bet I did my research making sure this is where we wanted to go. Upon arriving around 8pm, we drove around and scoped out the available spots. Once we found one we liked, we set up camp and were able to check in with the front desk the next day to make our 2 $20 payments for our 2 night stay. The office closes around 5 or 6pm, if you arrive before that time you can pay the same day. On Fridays, all sites are first come first serve, while some are available for reservation on Saturday and Sunday. Check out time is 12pm. The site we picked was D22, it was private, had great tree cover, and was right near the restrooms. This is a spot available to be reserved online. The restrooms were clean and stocked with toilet paper too! To our dismay, as soon as we got our campsite set up and finished cooking/eating dinner, the downpour began. It rained 99% of our entire trip but thanks to a couple of tarps (under and over our tent) and beach towels, we were able to stay dry and cozy under our tent. I've heard people ordering food to-go from the amount Pisgah Inn which is right next store. Although it may have been more convenient than trying to cook over a campfire in the rain, we decided against it. PSA: keep your trash bags in your vehicle so you don't get any unwanted visitors (bears!). There are several trails to choose from that are close by/walking distance from the campgrounds. Even though it was raining throughout our whole trip, we did decide to venture off and hike the Mount Pisgah Trail. A great hike, not too long, and you make it to an observation deck when you get to the top. Be careful if you go while it's raining, it looked much more like an uphill creek than a trail due to the flooding. Definitely would not recommend if you have children. The Inn's Country Store is very close by and has all things you may need if you forgot them before you arrive including food, supplies, kindling bundles, and souvenirs. All in all, the campgrounds seemed well kept and clean. We loved the wooded/private feel of the campsites. We will definitely come back again when we know there will be clear skies. read more

We stayed at Mt Pisgah Campground for 3 nights. Our site#13 loop B has partial shade and medium walk to bathroom. No hookups anywhere in campsites, even in RV loop A. While A & B loops have some double space back-ins, Loop B is mostly single back-ins and loop A has pull-thrus. All campsites are primitive at $20/night with no tax. Each campground loop has single shower with 2 toilet stalls, so patient is a virtual here, or pick a crazy hour for your nice hot shower. Water spigots generally between sites. Trash receptacles scattered conveniently on all campground loops. OTA TV signal is around 10 stations. Gas generator is allowed between 8am to 9pm for RV/trailer folks. WiFi is limited to ranger station and LTE is none existent at campsites. Dump station near the exit before the ranger kiosk. Would we stay again? With additional shower and WiFi... maybe. read more

Love this campground ! Easy to find and the campsite we had was perfect. Our site was private, and in June when the rhododendrons bloom it would be gorgeous. This is the only campground with hot showers. The restrooms were clean, kept and warm with a trail leading to them from all sites. We stopped across the way and grabbed hot coffee and breakfast at the pisgah inn. We will definitely be back next year. $20/night per campsite. You can reserve ahead of time online. read more

The location of this camoground is realy brautiful, sites are pretty tight and access to the bathrooms goes through sites which is kinda annoying. Mount Pisgah inn is right across the street with a very convenient resturant and country store. overall a very nice place to camp. read more

Great campground on the Blue Ridge! Be sure to pick a site away from the bathrooms/showers/water pump station. Some of the access paths to the bathrooms/showers go through camp sites. The campground itself is very beautiful and close to several trails, such as the Mount Pisgah Summit trail. If you plan on showering while you're here, be prepared to wait in line. There is 1 shower per gender and there is always a line of people waiting to use it, day or night. I'd stay here again--the sites were clean and convenient. read more

Great campground. Semi private areas with bathrooms close by. Water available to fill bottles. Bathrooms were clean and the camp store has extras as needed. Definitely would stay again. Easy access to sliding rock, multiple hikes from the campground and Pisgah Inn across the street if you need a good meal after a long day. read more

We loved our stay! The campsites were close but there were no problems there at all! The Rangers were helpful, and even let us park two cars in a spot that was only allowed one. Their understanding of our situation went a long way with me. There was a short walk to the inn to watch the sunset and the gift shop was super quaint. The bathrooms were the BEST bathrooms I've ever seen in any campground, and I was tempted to sleep in them. We were a group of 5 young adults, and never once did I feel we were under close supervision by the Rangers, or that they worried we would cause issues. In other campgrounds I've felt very chaperoned. Great experience, and we plan to spend many weekends here in the years to come! read more

I have camped here about 25 times, beginning in 1998, sometimes in a motor home, but usually in a pop-up camper trailer. I live in northeast Arkansas, which is flat as a pool table, so the mountains are really a treat. The high altitude brings delightful weather. Traveling from my home to the Blue Ridge, usually in September, takes me from temperatures in the high nineties with blazing sun to temperatures in the forties with cool mists and fog. The campground is always clean. The bathrooms and showers are great. There are all kinds of hiking trails. The scenery is beautiful beyond my ability to tell. Pay attention to the signs about bears. One climbed up into the bed of my pickup one night. It tried to get into my Yeti cooler but was unsuccessful. There is a small camp store near the campground, and the Pisgah Inn hotel is directly across the parkway. There is an excellent restaurant at the inn. I could go on and on, but I will sum up by saying , "Come and see for yourself. Words fail me." read more
