It was equipped with a very nice fire pit and a large stack of firewood included in the price. One staff member led us to our site in a golf cart, and another was already there to guide me while backing in. I have never before had this level of parking assistance! One of our slides jammed when we tried to extend it. The owner and two or three of his staff spent at least an hour trying to help us. We didn't have any luck, but the staff recommended a local mobile RV repair guy who was on site in about an hour and solved the problem. The park's cable TV service is head and shoulders above anything else we have ever seen. The area is full of natural beauty, and there are many places to get delicious food within a five to ten minute drive. Need groceries? Publix, Ingles, and Food Lion are just 15 minutes away, and Walmart about 20 minutes. Cross Creek RV Park is a great example of Western North Carolina hospitality at it's finest!

On a moonless night, you can see constellations you have only seen in astronomy books. It has full hookups but is a no frills park: no showers or toilets, no pool and no convenience store, but they do have laundry facilities. The park is graveled and the spaces are level, but close to each other. 61 cable channels!!! Everyone we met were friendly.This is a pet friendly park as well as the management personnel who are friendly and helpful. This park is open year long so there are several residents living here full time. We got the last open space when we reserved our site so we had neighbors on all four sides. When making reservations, six months in advance would be recommended. Try to secure a space on the outer perimeter where there is either an open meadow or creek for your backyard. This is the perfect park during the "leaf-peeping" season (October).

The creekside lots are my favorites. It is located very close to Lake Toxaway. The owners themselves manage the campgrounds and they are both delightful. I didn't love how close the men and women's restrooms were but was manageable. I personally liked the individual shower rooms. It made showering with a toddler easy. We opted for the cheapest RV option since we only needed an electric hook up. Spaces were tight and on top of each other, luckily no one else was camped on either side of us. Other sites that cost more nightly did appear to be bigger. Easy 20 minute ride in and out of Asheville. We would stay here again.
