A-1 from day 1. Contacted them to get a diagnosis on my vehicle due to someone else's negligence…read more Gave me a very detailed diagnosis and a very reasonable quote. Even got an oil change along with it. I was very impressed. Treated my vehicle as if it was their own. I definitely appreciated that. Will definitely be reaching out for more services.

Horrible experience. Do not recommend. My boyfriend and I called around searching for a black owned…read morebusiness for my car to be serviced. We needed to get my window regulator replaced before the snow storm to Greensboro 1/30. I was originally quoted on my invoice $130-150 or so for them to fix my window regulator and was told my diagnostic would be free. Mind you, we stated that the window motor was completely fine. After paying $70 deposit, my appointment was 1/30 at 4:00pm. The mechanic, which I believe is his partner, showed up late after having to be called. No contact on their end stating they are running behind. Once he arrived LATE, he arrived with the incorrect part. He purchased a motor and not a window regulator. Then proceeded to check the motor asked if I wanted it changed and I stated, no I don't because mine is working fine, I only need my regulator replaced. He proceeds to open up my drivers door panel to check and as I stated before, the window regulator broken and motor still intact. After consulting with his partner, they tell me that it's going to be more money than original quote and that it could be fixed same day or the next day in the morning. Again, my window is stuck open and it's supposed to snow in Greensboro starting that night. So I opted to get my window fixed the same day and sent $80 as an additional fee they said we have to pay. He said he will be back by 6:00p, with the correct part. I waited and waited. No call again. By 6:40p, my boyfriend calls and asks what's going on, he says that he can come the next day and some other stuff about me needing an oil change. Let's not forget, I said I got that done the day before, so we kindly asked for a refund. He says that he would keep $50 of the $150 because he ran diagnostic, which again was not needed and was offered by him for free. He stated because we didnt get the service , it isn't free and added $25 more because his mechanic drove to us. Refund was supposed to take 3 business days and after those 3 days, I waited an extra day to call and ask about said refund. No answer but was sent various text but not my money. Another call was made and finally got in contact with them and got an notification of a refund but it was later canceled. I have not received any of my money or communication regarding the unprofessional service experience. Would never recommend this "business".

They claimed to have replaced my transmission but I received no information about Said Transmission. Including when it was purchased or installed. I would consistently call for updates and I would receive no return communication. After 9 months of no communication other than them taking my payments and sending receipts, finally I can get my car. The transmission was leaking immediately. Again, I call and nothing, leave messages nothing. I take my car back to them and tell them it's leaking, the mechanic Tells me to Come back On Monday at 8am. I drive the hour back to the Shop that Monday at 8am and proceeded to sit there for 2.5 hours waiting for someone to open the shop, no one ever came. A few weeks later by November Im broke down on the side of the road, trans out again. I called Larry, he sends a tow truck and assures me he will take care of the car that had only been in my possession for a couple of weeks. I've called every week twice a week for over 3 months, no trans, no running car, out over $3000. This week was the last straw, after having my car this whole time assuring me he was going to fix it, and he has been looking for a transmission he states to me, that now he wanted me to pay for a second transmission. When I refused he said I could come pick up my car. I proceeded to pick my car up ( by tow) and asked for the receipt where he procured the leaking transmission for my records and Larry could not/would not produce. The For Sale sign on the lot should've been my first red flag.

I came to L&M with extremely high hopes! I had heard so many positive things about Larry's skill…read moreset and all the work he'd done over the years! Made the decision to move forward with L&M because I wanted Larry specifically to work on my vehicle. Walked into L&M in January and dropped my truck off the first week of February. Had a ticking noise in my engine and had been through the wringer of different mechanics playing the guessing game of what it could be-- bad lifter? Spark plugs? Etc. L&M diagnosed a few days after drop off and I was contacted stating that it initially sounded like lifters but could also be a timing chain issue but of course we wouldn't know for sure until they got down there. Within the next week, I was called by Larry with a plan of attack. Weeks after, I found out that the job had been passed to an unknown mechanic, named Malik, who turned out to be FAR LESS than impressive. I found this out after being given the run around for weeks as to why my vehicle was still incomplete considering I was told the job would take 1-2 days max. Malik gravely lacks work ethic and barely showed up for work. To this day, I have never seen him at work as many times as I have stopped in to discuss the work supposedly being performed. There were many nights where he was late and many weekends he did not show. Says a lot about a business owner who does not hold himself nor his employees accountable. For months, I have been given numerous false end dates, lousy repeat excuses, empty apologies and more. My truck has been torn down and put back together more times in the past months at L&M probably more than ever... and for what?? The issue remains. They have collected thousands of dollars from me only to conduct bad business. They took advantage of my kindness and patience. Their major issue is the GRAVE lack of communication. You won't know anything unless you call them or pop up. And even then, it's the same old song. There's a struggle on their part to articulate the status of the work being done on your vehicle. It's just always "I'm working as fast as I can. I know exactly what I need to do now. I'm planning to work on it tonight. I was heading in there now. I should be able to get it done. Oh I'm sorry I didn't even make it to it last night. Or I started but stopped to work on something else. But I'll be in here all night or weekend working on your vehicle. Your vehicle is a priority. I'm gonna work until I get it right. But oh wait I'm so behind right now and this is really affecting me and my business and womp womp womp womp womp womp womp." They dance around in circles when asked to provide specific details as to the parts being ordered and steps being taken as well as questions regarding timeline. To date, I have been mishandled completely and STILL do not have a repaired vehicle to show for it. I would NOT recommend. These folks were so kind to me in the beginning. Still are. But BAD BUSINESS HANDS DOWN. Done is an understatement. UPDATE 5/27/2024: Spoke with Larry Friday evening after having to call multiple times--mind you, there's a habit of picking up and hanging up and also just flat out ignoring calls altogether until they get tired of it ringing--and made arrangements to retrieve my vehicle today. Calling today and ...... you guessed it..... NOTHING!! Obviously you had every opportunity to state that you would not be available today if that was the case, but you didn't. The lack of integrity is mind blowing at this point guys. I just want my vehicle. $3600 down the drain just like that ... 5/28/24: Spoke with Larry and again, "we're waiting on parts." And "I'm working as fast as I can. I'll call you when it's ready for pickup." Mind you, as many times as I've heard that since they've had my vehicle since February, I have never received a call as assured. New communicated end date is Thursday 5/30/2024. I won't hold my breath.
