I tend to only go to them for oil changes and never have any issues. I will say for other services they are on the more expensive end but they guarantee their work if you use their parts, however if you want to use your own parts they will accommodate but won't guarantee work. They replaced an alternator/starter for me and years later it still works great, if you have the extra money to spend they are a great option, however if you are more price conscious you may need to look into other shops.

The first story doesn't make me look great, but I'll tell it like it happened. Story one: The first time I took my car there, my car was having chronic issues with the battery dying (in spite of AAA giving me a perfect battery check multiple times). A pseudo-mechanic friend messed around with it on the weekend, but concluded that my vehicle needed professional help. I dropped off my car on a busy weekday morning without an appointment. They were absolutely packed, but were willing to take my vehicle and try to diagnose the issue. They ran diagnostics and tested it in different ways over the course of a couple days, but weren't able to find any issues. My leading hypothesis is that my friend must have knocked something loose back into place. In any event, when I picked up the car, all they charged me for was the oil change. They could have EASILY charged me a ton for all the trouble my non-broken car gave them, but took the honest and transparent route. My car worked just find after I got it. Story two: During my first trip to Beroth, they identified that I had brake issues. My brakes should have still been under warranty under NTB and I told them I was going to try to see if the warranty would pay for it. I took my vehicle to NTB and they tried to charge me an exorbitant sum to replace damage due to a "failed part" (that I they installed.. that was under warranty...). In any event, I took my car into Beroth and they took care of my problem. They were able to charge me half of what NTB wanted to charge me, and did slightly less work (since some of what NTB recommended wasn't necessary). My brakes have been much better since the work they did. Overall, I'd recommend Beroth based on the two times they serviced my car. They had every opportunity to price gouge me, and they didn't. They were personable and took good care of my vehicle.

Relayed…read moreall this to M & M and requested that they find the cause and repair it, then give it an alignment afterward. We paid for 'repairs' and alignment. Wife said it still felt wrong and still "shimmied". Went back to M&M who told me that we needed tires with stronger sidewalls and offered to sell us some. Later that month, we took it in for its state inspection and it failed for a broken rear swaybar. The inspector showed me the broken swaybar and told me that it was for safety and could cause it to be dangerous in curves because the swaybar evens out the sway of the rearend, what my wife had described as a shimmy. The inspection place didn't do suspension repairs, so we took it somewhere else. M & M did not perform the service requested.

I believe they charge somewhere between $80-$100 an hour for service, which is fair compared to other shops. Parts and everything else are priced reasonably as well. Given the quality of work they do, I have no complaints. I don't trust just anyone with my truck--it's got a 6" lift, 35" tires, and is kept in impeccable condition (unless I've been mudding, of course). Garden Auto is the only place I'll take it because I know they'll handle it with care and expertise. If you want honest, skilled auto technicians, who stand by their work, this is the shop to go to.
