I chose Penske due to a sale they had that undercut everyone else for a long-haul one-way rental…read more This was trip 2 of 2 and I knew Penske's equipment was always top-notch. Upon arriving, I was a little worried but that quickly faded. During check-in, there were the standard questions but nothing like what I had been through with a competitor of theirs. When I went out to do the damage assessment on the nearly brand new truck, the owner found a decent amount of damage compared to most normal people (I use to be a damage assessor). He also went over the inside components like the lights, radio, etc. Awesome experience. The truck was a 16-foot 2019 GMC with 21k miles and climbed hills like a dream. My wife drove my F250 while I followed in the box truck and except for needing to slow down in corners (expected), I was able to keep up without issues. On my first trip, I used a COMPETITORS 26 foot truck and they gave me an 18 year old worn out diesel that couldn't climb hills if it's life depended on it (35mph, really?). They had also interrogated me on my insurance when I opted not to use theirs, making me fill out additional paperwork with my insurance information and such. While I'm not in Oregon anymore, I wish this location luck. Their customer service and truck quality is so much better than their competitors.
