When I arrived, the gate was closed because they actually closed at 4 PM. The front door was open so I called them and Joshua answered. Even though they had been closed for a half an hour, he offered to fix my tire. That's amazing Customer Service! Joshua shared that they have repeatedly tried to get Yelp to fix the hours on their website to show that they are open from 8 AM to 4 PM Monday through Saturday to no avail. I've reported this to Yelp today to hopefully prevent any other customers from thinking this is Reseda Tires' fault. Unfortunately, I didn't have the wheel lock key for Joshua to repair my tire, so I had to go home and get it and go to another tire shop that was open. However, Reseda Tires has earned my respect and al future business from me because of Joshua's offer after hours to assist me. Let's support this small business!

I had a really disappointing experience at Mountain View this morning. I came in with a flat tire…read morecaused by a small nail. My tires are in good condition overall, with the exception of one that I already know will need to be replaced sometime in the near future. I chose Mountain View because I've had service done here before, they're usually quick, and I was trying to get my toddler to preschool and myself to work. After putting my car up to inspect it, the attendant told me the tire with the nail was too damaged to patch, made it sound like it was practically ripped open, and said they couldn't patch it because they would be "liable." But it didn't stop there he then proceeded to tell me that ALL of my tires were bald and needed to be replaced. I'm not someone who knows absolutely nothing about cars or tires. I know what a bald or badly damaged tire looks like, and my tires simply did not look anything like what he was describing. I asked him to physically show me the damage. When he did, I saw no ripped-open tire, no severe damage, and my tires were clearly not bald. I saw the small nail that caused my flat. He then suggested I go to a "mom-and-pop" tire shop even named one that might be willing to patch it because Mountain View supposedly couldn't take on the liability. I left and went to another established tire shop down the street not a "mom-and-pop" shop. They inspected my tires and confirmed that my tires are in good condition. They did tell me that ONE tire will probably need to be replaced in the near future, which I was already aware of, but they absolutely did not agree that all four of my tires were bald or needed replacement. And guess what? The tire Mountain View told me was too damaged to patch simply needed a patch. They patched the nail, and I was good to go. I'm writing this review because the entire interaction left me feeling taken advantage of and like I was being upsold and that the salesman assumed I wouldn't know any better. Just because I'm a woman does not mean you can tell me all of my tires are bald and need replacement and expect me to automatically believe it. Had I not questioned what I was being told, I could have ended up unnecessarily replacing multiple tires when all I needed that morning was a simple patch. I'm very glad I trusted my judgment and got a second opinion. I had previously trusted Mountain View, which is exactly why I went there in the first place, but after this experience I will not be returning.
