I even joked with her, "I'm not going to want to shave my head after this, am I ?". Yes, a joke but not having gone to a professional salon in several years...a joke not a joke? I'm 64 with a lot of grey that in the past, I cut/colored myself... Suffice it say, it was damaged, brassy, and had a hard demarkation from the grow out. I put blind faith in Christine today and once she was through, I almost couldn't believe it. Not only did she listen and pay attention to our initial conversation, it was Obvious that she absolutely knows what she is doing and has been in the industry long enough to show it. Christine is very personable, easy to talk with, and is a real person with nothing to prove. I can't say enough about Christine as a person, and the results of her work with my hair is just a snippet as to her overall talents. For my last appointment I was ready to do something much more fun that I have been wanting to do for years, take it shorter and do a bright fantasy color. There was a small mix up for the booking (first time ever) and there shouldn't have been enough time to get everything done, but Blake and the team (even the owner!) stepped up to make it happen and still took great care of the other clients there. They even got me out the door in time to make an appointment I had after. I have gotten so many compliments on my hair since! I love this salon and the team, and highly recommend them. P.S. I really appreciate their policies that keep the salon a relaxing experience, it's so nice to know that every time I go there it's going to be like going to a spa instead of a carnival or daycare. They are so conscientious about their clients needs, including sensory overload and/or stress reduction. The yelp reviews may be mixed but I'm happy to report an exceptional experience with my stylist, Carolina. Not only did she cut and style my hair to its curly glory, she gave me some great takeaway tips to try to recreate the magic at home. The result, healthy, luscious waves and curls with plenty of bounce and moisture. The salon is clean, nicely decorated and has a great spa experience vibe. Highly recommended this transformational treatment!

Came in and was greeted by who i assume is the manager or the owner (idk but she is of East Asian…read moredescent), and right off the bat i had a very hard time understanding her accent-- which is whatever. However, she moves through my hair and immediately tells me about how uneven it is (done by another stylist at this location barely a week prior)-- fine, whatever. But the whole time, she keeps missing pieces, is cutting other sections ridiculously short, all the while is telling me about how uneven my hair is, like girl wtf you're the one doing it all uneven!! Then, after barely five minutes, tries telling me she is done but like girl, no you are *not*. She became very annoyed with me when i told her she barely did anything, and the stuff she did was absolutely horrendous. This offended her even though i was more than patient and polite with her. She was rougher with me, left a bunch of stuff uncut, then tells me she is done again.. and guess what, it looked even worse. I told her "umm... this is not even what i told you to do", then idk she already had a very thick accent and was extremely difficult to understand at times, but i could tell she was annoyed with me. After pointing out the places she missed, she takes the small hand mirror and actually shoves it at me, telling me what i assume was "look for yourself!!!". Then, completely irritated and appalled, i said "wow okay then". She finalizes the transaction, saying absolutely nothing until she points at the tip jar and then at the receipt and says "there! You tip now!", to which I responded, "absolutely not" with the biggest saccharine smile ever. for crying out loud, imagine having the absolute audacity to assume i'd tip you especially after shoving the mirror at me. Folks, if you care about your hair, go elsewhere unless you feel like being shamed because of the horrendous work another stylist of yours did, and to then assume i'd actually tip you.
