Such a cute place. Ms sue is great. My kids love her. We've all done classes here and a birthday party and it was fabulous!

At first this place was great. The infant and under 2 classes are full of caring teachers. However,…read moreI've started to notice that as my child is getting older there is much less care than the first 2 years. They are constantly switching out teachers who clearly do not want to be there. Most of them just seem tired and not all of them are bad, but my son is showing signs that the enviornment is not safe for him. Specifically one teacher I've noticed, who has even said extremely questionable to me personally. He seems terrified when she's the only teacher in the classroom and I've had it. When my first issue came up, I expressed my concern to the front desk, again not all bad, they seemed more defensive and dismissive than concerned. The only offer was from the director of "making more classroom check-ins" (I've never seen it.) My advice, especially if you're paying full tuition, if you have a 2+ year old probably look elsewhere. It's not worth the money or you or your child's wellbeing. They're tired and overloaded with too many kids. I like a lot of the teachers, but anyone would collapse in that kind of situation. Redirection isn't possible with that kind of overwhelm. Sad to see this is how it ended but glad my child can recognize, understand, and let me know that he does not feel safe in an environment.

The experience far exceeded my expectations, very entertaining and put on by a diverse and devoted group of people, both on and off stage. Tonight's performamce was Miss Bennet, Christmas at Pemberley. It was very entertaining and also very moving, we left the theater with alot to reflect on and think about. We bought our tickets online at www.classictheatre.org

This is a cute little hole-in-the-wall, black box theater that brings an intimate look into the…read moretheatrical productions it produces. The theater itself is attached to the Woodlawn Theater and shares restroom facilities with the Woodlawn. Running a separate series of smaller shows, the Classic Theater offers a theater-in-the-round experience with the audience seated on all sides of the theater which can allow audience interaction with the professional cast. The seating is comfortable, but you'll need the intermission to get up and stretch your legs as the chairs can get a tad uncomfortable. The theater also allows no outside food or drinks, but does have water and wine for donation (at least this was during the show we attended). Overall, the cast was excellent in Midsummer Night's Dream. They brought a refreshing perspective and performance for Shakespeare's work, which truly showed why Shakespeare should be consumed in theatrical form rather than reading, and the acting was intimate and, yet, bombastic at the same time. The cast really showed skill and thought with each word spoken, and they brought the characters to life while leaving themselves behind. With the theater-in-the-round, they worked the entire room as well as made me feel that the show was put on solely for me. I had had that same sense of disbelief in quite a long time during a theatrical production. The quality of the production also showed. Even though it seemed like a relatively low budget affair, it wasn't lacking the quality of a truly great show. My husband and I are already planning our time back to enjoy another production and we look forward to becoming regular patrons of the arts at the Classic.

Despite…read moretrying out several methods, nothing seemed to work for him as his teacher informed me that he would only answer 2 out of 38 questions correctly during his mock STAAR reading tests. During that time, he would take up the whole day whereas everyone else completed their assessments within 4 hours. Fortunately, my mother and I found Planting Seeds Tutoring & Test Prep on Thumbstack. Chris was very quick at responding back to my emails. Within a few days, he introduced us to India. She served as my younger brother's tutor for a month up until the day before the actual STAAR reading test. Within the first meeting, she assessed my brother and determined how many hours per week he required to gain maximum help. During the tutoring sessions, she tried her very best to make it fun and interactive for my brother to learn new reading and writing skills. She also communicated with the teacher in order to accommodate her lessons with his reading performance in school. Within the third week, he successfully answered 27 out of 38 questions correctly during another mock STAAR reading test. While going over his exam, I noticed all the analytical notes my brother took alongside each reading passage. He then proceeded to tell me how they greatly helped him answer the more difficult questions. Overall, there were several aspects that I greatly liked about Planting Seeds Tutoring & Test Prep: 1. Chris informed my mother and I about the financial matters behind their services prior to the first session with India 2. India always informed me whenever she was running late and always made up by staying in a few minutes extra 3. Compared to the more expensive tutoring services in Houston, their prices made it easier for my mother to afford additional tutoring sessions with India 4. My mother and I found it very convenient that they offer at-home tutoring sessions. India provided consistent tutoring sessions that worked well around our schedules 5. India usually supplied additional homework that further helped my brother gain reading tactics necessary to pass the STAAR test 6. Everyone from Planting Seeds Tutoring & Test Prep are very professional and courteous. Even though we are not currently utilizing their services, they are more than willing to help out my brother during the remainder of the school year and beyond! We are currently anticipating my brother's actual STAAR reading results from TEA. We're truly hoping their services aided my brother in attaining a passing grade!
