It felt like they were trying to upsell me. When I politely requested a refund of my $150 deposit, I was denied, being told it was a fee just to see the practitioner. I wasn't trying to be difficult, so I asked about other alternatives, like using the deposit toward a facial. But when I inquired, I was told it would be another $80--so in total, $229. At that point, I didn't want to give this place any more of my money. Looking back, the biggest red flag (that I wish I caught sooner) was the lack of transparency with their pricing. Other med spas are upfront about what their services cost, which is much more honest. I understand it's a business, but this experience left me feeling misled and out $150 for nothing. It has now been 3 days, and I have still not received a single phone call, email, or message to schedule my appointment. I firmly believe that the way a business does anything is how they do everything. If a medical spa cannot manage to follow up with a prospective new client trying to book a procedure, it raises a massive red flag. It makes me seriously question what would happen if I actually went through with a treatment here, had an urgent post-procedure question or complication, and suddenly couldn't get a hold of anyone for answers. Communication is everything when it comes to aesthetic procedures, and failing at the very first step is not a good sign.
