The scenery from the top 19th floor was spectacular, which we also got a view of the whole entire city from the main area street. We stayed for a whole week and every day I was in the pool from about 12-3pm where the sun was the most sunniest and hot/humid. although the week we were there, it was Super Duper windy, which helped out that I wasn't burnt during the stay. Although I spoke very very little Spanish, I was able to get by. I wish the STAFF could've been a little bit more knowledgeable with some of the English barrier. I had to use my app translation to communicate with them. It was very easy to get around we Uber to most of the places that we went and the fair price was decent, usually around under US $10 for 15-20min ride around to the other side

The in-room jacuzzi came with a TV, and if you have an account, you can watch Netflix while relaxing in the tub. The hotel also had great amenities like a pool, billiards, gym, and massage chairs, all available for free, which was a nice bonus. The breakfast buffet featured a variety of Mexican dishes, which was a fun way to start the day. Also, I highly recommend checking out the Sky Bar on the rooftop. The night view was stunning, and both the food and drinks were delicious--such a memorable experience!

After landing in Monterrey's airport, and going to eat with my buddy, he dropped me off at this hotel. I noticed that the surrounding area is clean, safe, and quiet. Checking in was no problem, and I opted for an upgrade, since having a great view of the city was very important to me. I got a 2-bed room on one of the upper levels. The room was spectacular. It was nicely decorated, sizable, with great amenities. There was a separate area with the shower and a bath tub, where I was able to relax while enjoying the view of this magnificent city. The room had a Nespresso machine, which I used to complement the morning coffee I ordered through room service. The food available here was great, it was very tasty, and prepared with a good balance of ingredients. I didn't have time to check out the gym nor the restaurant, but I was able to explore the surroundings. Across the street sits Metropolitan Center, a great place for fine dining. There is also Fashion Drive, which is a huge indoor mall with many great offerings. There are nightclubs in the area, but I did not have the opportunity to check them out, either. Daytime or nighttime, this place has plenty to do, and it is very safe. Later on, I learned that San Pedro Garza Garcia is the most affluent part of Mexico. It shows. My stay in Grand Fiesta Americana was a very comfortable one. It exceeded my expectations, and I plan to come back in the near future.

Loved our views from anywhere in the building. Just beautiful. Breakfast was my favorite. Amazing variety of food with one of the best views in MTY. I would return and would absolutely recommend to others. Happy I was able to experience this with my cousins and my mom and my Tia.

This had to have been one of the worst stays in a hotel ever. First of all, I was put into a room…read morewhich should have never been sold, for various reasons. Overall, the Camino Real is a nice hotel, but it did nothing to help my stay. As you come into the hotel, it opens up into a huge marble-walled atrium, probably 5 or 6 stories high. First issue is the noise- it is unbearable with the echoing of music, people talking and at the time I was there, the mass of screaming and running children. It was absolutely unbearable. I arrived to my room, which was on the top of the atrium level, and my door was off the atrium, I thought surely it is a heavy door and will block out the sound. Boy was I wrong. Of course, the hotel was sold out and I was unable to change, but I did have high hopes that the din would die down later and allow me to sleep. The rooms are nice, lots of marble everywhere. However, the room seemed like it's being prepared for renovation. When I closed the blinds before getting ready for bed, I saw that there was a space for a roller, where no roller existed, but there were two other roller blinds, but they did not block out all of the light. On the other side from the atrium was my window facing the street, so I had the din of the atrium on one side and the rumble and roar of the traffic on the other- and anybody who has been to Mexico knows that the Mexicans like to stay out late. On Saturday morning, after a late night working, there was a LOUD piano playing in the atrium restaurant, which echoed horribly through my door. On a positive note, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast good, but that still failed to make up for the interrupted sleep. If you do stay here, make SURE to get a room ABOVE the atrium (floor 24 and higher) and on the opposite side from the street.

I'll keep the story-telling to a minimum and keep this review useful for travelers. There's a lot…read moreof good things to say here :) Room: I stayed in a 2 Queen-bed room with a friend/colleague. The room was very spacious and the beds not too close together. I found the bed to be very comfortable and soft with plenty of pillows and warm comforter. I slept very well! There's a reading light that shines over the bed if you need. There's a tv with channels in both Spanish & English, though most of the English channels were news. The closet is located in the bathroom, but there are plenty of drawers. The shower and toilet are separate from each other. Here's the catch, the door to the shower is clear, and the door to the bathroom itself (to access the sink) is also see-through. So if you're traveling with a person that isn't your partner, only 1 person can use the bathroom/walk in front of the bathroom at a time unless you're REALLY comfortable with them. So if you're showering and the 2nd person needs to leave, just tell them to be mindful and look the other way :) Hotel amenities: -There is a fitness center & spa that I did not use. Gym looks like there are plenty of cardio machines and some weight training items that will get the basic jobs done. -Pool:I loved this pool!!! There are plenty of chairs to lounge off to the side and someone on staff to bring you endless cervejas (not free). The pool has small waterfalls/fountains so there is a peaceful noise of water falling to allow you to relax. The water is the perfect temperature to dip yourself in without worry. It is long enough to swim up and down. -Restaurant: There is a restaurant located on the 2nd floor that does brunch buffet. It was not vegan-friendly, but they also have a full menu which has a few veggie options. I had the wrap which was already vegan as is! If you come at the right time, there might be live music provided by a musician playing the saxophone or another instrument. I thought it provided the perfect ambiance as I enjoyed my meal. Staff: Very friendly and many spoke English. No problems here. Location: Located in a busy district popular with business people. Lots of other large hotels in the area that remind you of the Las Vegas strip. I felt very safe walking around at night. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes (even a Starbucks), and bars. There is a shopping mall just a block away, where I found a bank that accepts Bank of America ATM cards without a foreign transaction fee. I even saw H&M and other American stores nearby. Overall, if you're traveling for work, this is a great hotel. If you're traveling for leisure, it might be on the pricier side (expect to pay US prices), but for the amenities and safety, this is a good option.

As you enter the Gran Ancira hotel you are graciously greeted by numerous hotel employees. You then make your way into the lobby/ ballroom with a beautiful grand sweeping staircase. The floor is the classy black & white checkers that you'll quickly see reflecting above you on the ceiling adorned full of mirrors. I was here for work for 10 days so the food was provided by the hotel but it was very good. I did see that they had a Sunday brunch that looked incredible. The rooms are nice but your view can be hit or miss depending on what side of the hotel you get. The size of the rooms are decent size and the beds were very comfortable pillow top mattresses. The bathrooms varied in size from room to room. A few of the rooms had nice spacious bathrooms while the others(the one I got!) was tiny and made you feel claustrophobic. Other than that everything in the rooms are clean and tidy. Oh yeah the wifi was a bit spotty in the rooms. The surrounding area has a bit of a Euro feel with the cobblestone streets and plazas. Shopping, restaurants and even a electronics market reminiscent of ones found in Asia are all within walking distance. So onto the best part of the hotel....the PEOPLE! Literally every single employee that I encountered at this hotel was sincerely, genuinely nice and helpful! A rare thing nowadays but somehow you guys managed to do it! Thank you Alejandro and everyone at the Gran Ancira for the 5 star hospitality!
