I had hired them to do some cleaning on my rental property last year, and was impressed with their work that time as well. Also, the customer service is incredible. A short story - when the team was finished cleaning my house the other day, I was on a work call when they were done, so I didn't get to look at the full house before they departed. Much to my surprise, they had missed a room to be cleaned - my sunporch that often gets missed! I called the service to ask what could be done, and they sent the team back the very next day at no charge. I needed to have a Detailed Deep Cleaning of my house as we will be selling it soon. I contacted 3 companies and while Ms. Igene's was THE MOST expensive of the 3, I figured (mistakenly) that they would do the thorough job. I mean $525, paid up front to do a Detailed Deep Cleaning. I didn't need a regular cleaning. I wanted all the corners, nooks and crannies cleaned. What I received is 3 gals who came for, get this, 5.5 hours.I explained I didn't need a regular cleaning (vacuum, wash floors, etc.) I wanted the corners and places where regular cleaning misses. I wanted the interior of my cabinets (some were already empty) cleaned and when I saw that the gal was struggling, because I had paper towels under the dishes in the cabinets, they couldn't get the paper towels off, I told them to move on and clean other things. Needless to say, what a waste of money. Sub par work doesn't begin to cover it at a cost of $525.00. I could have got this "cleaning" at less than HALF that price. I did a cursory review once they left and you can see from the floor images and the base edge (see image) was not touched at all, I scraped my fingernail along the middle that even a decent house cleaner worth their salt would not have left this. I contacted Marc and while he was very nice, he had no explanation (nor did he ask to resolve). What he did say was "There was no way (time allotted) to have your entire home cleaned at the level of standard required for a detailed deep cleaning service." 3 gals for 5.5 hours? That is 16.5 hours of cleaning! Really? 16.5 hours of so-called "deep cleaning" and they couldn't clean the areas in the images below? So that was that. I'm out $525.00 and I guess I will either do the job myself (which is why I PAID $525 so I wouldn't have to do it myself), or I can hire a different company for less $$$. Also, to add insult to injury, I happened to move the curtains over my sink and that's when I found the broken figurine just sitting their, hiding. See image. Wow, I wouldn't have cared if they had just mentioned they happened to break it as it wasn't valuable, but instead they just hid it there. That is disgusting. So, I'm sure that the 5 star reviews posted here are sincere, however, I'm simply warning that even though I was extraordinarily SPECIFIC in what I needed, I received sub par, OVERPRICED cleaning. Buyer beware. UPDATE: Please see Ms. Igene's template response to my review. Please note, that in 16.5 hours they could have cleaned at least HALF my house to the standard for which I paid. This is the third company I've hired to clean my 2 bedroom /1500 sq foot apt...and this is the only company I will rehire. In the past I've dealt with quotes not being honored, things getting broken, finding dirt and mess after the cleaners have left. Ms Igene is the FIRST company to send professionals who are 1) on time, 2) clean everything - and then some, and 3) not break anything in my home! I was so happy with this service. I had the pleasure of working with Ms Vero and Ms Sandy. They were very kind, nice to my cat, and very thorough in their work. I can honestly say this is the best company I've found, and there's absolutely no reason to look elsewhere. Besides that, they were able to fit me in quickly - which as a millennial Is a prerequisite for any service Im interested in. I'm just relieved to have found people I feel good about coming back into my home. No hassle no hesitation I know what I'm in for. Follow up- Marc had the audacity to call my husband after my review, which created more complications as he was trying to save his own ass and the work my husband has contracted with him. I stand by my statement, that unless you are a man with deep pockets, don't waste your time with this company or any of his affiliates. Absolutely not. This is my third time around with this company. 1st time we requested a deep clean. 4 people came...and Marc. What a jerk. He's patronizing and misogynistic. He referred to the cleaners as, "his girls" which I suppose could be interpreted as a term of endearment however, we were having work done at the house and he refused to acknowledge me, rather he told me he would only be speaking with my husband's assistant, who happens to be a man. It was my house and I was paying him. It was a nightmare. Marc offered additional help with moving. He provided 2 men who also refused to acknowledge my existence. I asked if they would help me move a couple of items to the curb for pickup and they shrugged and walked away. I had to drag them to the curb, despite them being hired to help me move. After "his girls" were finished, I legitimately couldn't tell they had even been there. The ceiling fan blades were still coated in dirt. The light switches were filthy. As was the microwave. They weren't asked to do any flooring as we were having it changed. Back to the movers, they were to move things into storage while the floor was replaced. I can't even begin to tell you what a hack job they did. Zero organization. I can't find anything. There's furniture piled on top of bags. The beds are buried somewhere. Things are broken. I'm having to hire an additional company to move things out and reorganize. I was dumb enough to give them another chance. I thought it would be ok since the house was mostly empty and I wanted someone to show up quickly. All that remained in the house was the kitchen which is staying as is and one of the beds/bath also staying. My senior mother is living in the house. Living and dining empty with the exception of a few boxes and a hutch. The following day we had movers scheduled to bring in the rest of her things but we had to cancel due the house still not cleaned. Perhaps it was a language barrier but I told them what I needed. Clean the kitchen and floors. Dust and cobwebs needed to come down. I'll admit, it was a bit Haunted Mansion dusty. I needed help with the dishes if they were willing. Windows. Apparently they called Marc because after 20 minutes one of the cleaners came in to the room I was working on and told me they weren't going to clean because the house wasn't completely empty and they only clean empty houses and call them when the house was empty. But if I wanted to, I could pay them to help me pack. I don't even know what that means. Again, maybe it's a language barrier. Maybe I didn't communicate well enough what I needed. I tried. My mother is moving into the house, not moving out. This is as empty as it's going to get. I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt but this was the 3rd strike and I'm all out of f*cks. Don't waste your time like they've wasted mine. This entire experience has cost me a ridiculous amount of money between paying them for a job that was done poorly and/or not at all and then paying people to fix it and get the job actually done. FYI I paid over $1500 for the 1st job to do a deep cleaning. We all knew it was a big job which is why I thought with the hefty price tag, it would be done in a satisfactory. The cleaning was indecipherable. I rarely review and when I do, it's because someone has gone above and beyond and should be recognized. But this experience was so horrible, I hoped I could save another from my misery. And Marc, as I see you typically respond to the reviews, save my time and yours by shutting your sycophantic mouth for once. It's insincere and performative and frankly, it's insulting. Amazing! Laura & Veronica are house cleaning dynamos! They did Everything- top to bottom of our 2 bedroom house with pets (fur and dustballs around the house) with such attention to detail. They could probably find a tiny crumb hidden under the couch! And they work at lightening speed, too. Sandy, who usually comes, even lovingly takes care of my plants that had some stuff on and in between their leaves. These ladies did everything and did not miss a thing and were so pleasant too. Amazing job! I love this company. The owner himself called and texted me with all the info. Immediately after the service, the owner called again just to make sure everything went well. Who does that! He does, and it shows what a great company they really are. Everything on the site is also super clear, is detailed and straight forward. The only confusion I had was a four hour service with 2 cleaners doesn't mean 2 cleaners will clean for 4 hours...it means each person will clean for 2 hours total. That is 2 cleaners x 2 hours = a 4 hours equivalent of cleaning. And boy do they clean! I had a deep clean after we fumigated our house. They send 3 cleaners for 3 hours and they worked non stop, even staying 30 min extra to finish a few things. They wiped down walls, baseboards, vacuumed, mopped, cleaned the toilet and tub, all surfaces like desks and dressers, wiped down fronts of kitchen cabinets, ceiling fans and even put the clean dishes I had washed earlier, away! I told them they didn't have to make the beds because I was going to strip and wash all bedding and when I walked it after they left...they had stripped all the beds for me and left it all in the laundry room! Amazing, amazing, amazing. Just be careful talking to the owner Marco, he is so personable and nice you'll talk to him all day! Pretty awful. First they kept texting to ask if it was alright to push back our appointment time to later, and again, later. To compensate for the multiple reschedulings they offered an extra half hour of cleaning. For us this was fine as we had no other plans but I can imagine it being a nuisance for most because you would need to constantly adjust your schedule. Second and more importantly, their service and end product was worth a fraction of what they charged. Between 2 ladies and 2.5 hours to clean a small 1 bedroom apartment, I would think we'd at least be getting a clean place to return to... not sure they actually utilized the extra half hour or even most of the first 2 hours to clean. Of course we made the mistake of tipping them without looking around. It was only after they left that we realized... the shelves were covered in dust, the bed frame covered in hair, and none of the closets had even been opened. The very least they could have done was vacuum. So expect not even a superficial clean from Ms. Igene, at a very high cost, and with potential UN-punctuality. read more

I had a move out cleaning scheduled with another company for 1 PM the day before my walk-through with my landlord. That company never showed, never called, nothing. So while panicking, I called Ms. Igene Services. A very nice man answered the phone and said he could get two cleaners there by 8 AM the next morning. My walkthrough was scheduled for 1 PM. I have never seen my apartment that clean before. It was spotless. I have no idea how they got the fridge that clean, the ceiling fans were amazingly sparkly, they got the dust bunnies off the walls, the crown molding was beautiful, I mean it was above and beyond. My landlord walked through with me right after they were done and he was so happy. He said he could just rent the apartment the way it was. My only complaint was I wish they cleaned my new place so I could enjoy it! I'm setting up a cleaning for the new place as soon as I unpack! I have now found my new cleaners. Ms Igene was hired to clean my house three times with declining results each time. The first time all the assigned areas were cleaned well. The second and third times the results were mediocre to poor: Entry floor was still dirty when they left, no dusting, no windows (I paid extra for windows) no thorough cleaning of three bathrooms. I had to do it all myself afterwards. What did they do here for 3 hours? I think they do not want repeat business-they just want to collect their $350 fee without working too hard and go on to the next customer. AVOID. read more
