I really like this place. Black owned business in a strip mall. Customer service is extremely fast and friendly. I got the 3 meat special and it is big. The prices are affordable and the service is fast. I will return.

Ok yes this looks like a basic sandwich but it was really really really really good! It was a turkey 6' with lettuce, tomato, Mayo, mustard, hot peppers, provolone cheese with their signature season oil!! . It also comes with olives which i didn't get! They toast the inside of their hoagies, not the outside! I like that. They have a wide chip selection as well as drinks. They also have what looks like homemade cake slices! I didn't get any cake. When i walked in, the aroma was so delightful! And the two women working were very nice and greeted me when i came in! I will def be back for another good sandwich!

I remember Ms Bonnie for years at the Super Sub shop. She was the best. So I couldn't wait for an opportunity to be in the area to try her sub. She did not disappoint. I got a Turkey sub with everything except onions. I absolutely love the flavors and seasonings. I also got a loaded baked potato soup which was absolutely divine on a cold dreary day. I plan to try the salads on my next opportunity there.

FANTASTIC, borderline addictive. It's like the ole Chinese sub shop, with more topping choices, and 97% as good bread.

YUM! My turkey burger was so good. Perfectly seasoned, smash-burger style, very flavorful. I am…read moreoften disappointed with turkey burgers that taste like they came out of a Costco freezer box and this was NOT like that. These folks act like they too LIKE turkey burgers, and I am down for it. I would definitely go back. My husband got the Philly cheese steak with fries. He gave the fries 5/5 (hot, crisp, great seasoning, flavorful) and said (he is a Philly guy) the cheesesteak was pretty good for a Southern attempt at a cheesesteak but that it had a little piece of lettuce on it under all the meat and cheese which I have to say did make me laugh out loud just now while waiting at the DMV. Ambiance-wise I loved the music playing with video footage in the indoor seating area (seats 8). There are also outside picnic tables.

I don't know if know about this spot here but babyyyy I'm so mad I haven't been here sooner!!! This is definitely about to be my new wing spot! I got the 10 piece party wing covered in Dees Specail Sauce (that sh*t was fireeeeee) my wings were fried to perfection and still had crunch even covered in the sauce. Everything was soooo good and everything is fresh to order! This spot is in the heart of the Historic Orange Mound Community. ( the the first black community in America built by and for African Americans) They def in my top 5 spots for wings now. That's it's that's the one. Make sure y'all pull up on them!

Petal of a Peony did not disappoint! They literally ruined…read moreall future tofu for me. You know when you try a dish at a restaurant and from that point on, you judge every version of it against the best one you've ever had? Their spicy crispy tofu did exactly that. What's disheartening is that it's in Memphis, Tennessee and I live in Illinois. How am I supposed to convince my boyfriend to drive 16 hours round trip just for tofu?! Everything else was extremely well executed. Even the jasmine tea was excellent. We actually ended up leaving the city late the next day just so we could go back for lunch. It's that good. If your spice tolerance is low, definitely let them know this dish is spicy, as it should be! One recommendation: if you order the wood ear salad, get the cucumber salad as well and eat them together to balance your palate it's a total game changer. If nothing else, the spicy crispy tofu is an absolute must!!!

I am sure the staff had their hands full. Our server Daniel (name on ticket) was a complicated hot mess. He started out saying that we should have gone to Lao S.C., that it was better food? Never saw that coming. He said he used to work there too - which I wondered why he quit such a new establishment after such a short run? Then it hit me: I began by saying that we generally get the same things (mapo tofu or the cumin lamb - excellent choices), and I wanted to try something different? I was interested in the spicy whole grilled fish in pot! He told me that I wanted the fried chicken sautéed in peppers... his favorite. I said no, I really wanted to try the whole fish. He continues insisting I wanted the chicken dish? 3 more times... and I began suspecting maybe something was amiss, perhaps freshness issue with the fish - I relented and went with the chicken which ultimately was disappointing. Hard cooked chicken scraps edging on burnt tossed not in a sauce but in handfuls of dried peppers. Dry-fried. Very uneventful, hard and dull. Wife went with the shrimp in milk sauce which was extraordinarily delicious. Plump and savory jumbo shrimp in a creamy almost walnut sauce. We ordered a pear Sake from Oregon (which he told us was from Japan), and the spicy dumplings as an appetizer. The dumplings were tender and homemade which we liked but were not overwhelmed with. The Sake was light with a hint of asian pear went well with dinner. Still wishing I was more demanding on the whole fish (or) took his former recommendation and went to the other place?
