I've been through 3 home daycares before just trying a real day care facility. We all hear horror stories of different places so I was nervous. Her first day I couldn't believe the amount of pictures and communication I got from Ms. Chrissy the director of TT. I expressed my concerns and she literally picked them apart one by one. They have a daily toddler report that comes home telling you how their day went and what they ate. This report only comes home until they're 2 1/2. It made me feel very comfortable and in the know of what was going on. They have a Facebook for the parents and they take great pics of your kid.I have so many saved. The activities they do is above and beyond. Polar express, pajama day, zoo animals come etc. the teachers and assistants are all nice my daughter has been in all of the classes this is her last year and I've never had an issue. If I did I would call the teacher directly they are all approachable and available. The education, diversity, loving atmosphere, cleanliness is all a parent looks for and this place is it!! It's been a month, so I decided to revisit my review…read more Things started bad with people letting our baby cry himself to sleep and fall asleep face down. Not being watched, ignoring the schedule provided, overfeeding, not supporting the baby properly, leaving him to cry for an hour at the high chair, just moving him from one container to another (high chair to bouncer to crib), sending him home covered in food, ignoring the shoe cover rules, picking up pacifiers off the floor and putting it back in his mouth. They also lost his bib and one pacifier. We found the bib, but they tried to give us someone else's bib twice already. He doesn't cry himself to sleep as much anymore, but I've noticed they either let him get overtired or they just ignore him in his crib. I watched another baby shove him down and the teacher eventually picked him up and put him in the crib. The crib seems to be the go-to if he's crying. I watched one teacher lounging on the floor ignoring the babies until he fell over. Then she just put him back into a sitting position and walked away. After he cried too much, she put him in his crib and went back to her lounging position. Another teacher came in and they appeared to have an argument. There isn't a lot of routine and stability there either. Some mornings he is in the other baby room. The teachers seem to rotate, but there is no set schedule to the rotations. They will let him go 5 hours without a nap and then have him only nap for 15 minutes. I've watched him so tired he fell asleep face down on the play mat for over 10 minutes before someone finally took him to a crib (this happened more than once). I watched an older baby hit him on the head with a toy and knock him over. Luckily a teacher picked him up pretty quickly. He also comes home everyday with the diaper on way too tight. Sometimes the tabs overlap. He's developed diaper rash, which he never had before. We have so far caught a really bad virus and some sort of a cold in such a short amount of time. The positives are that he eats way more solid food than he used to. I like that he is socializing and sleeping in the crib.

Just as an example, I remember her coming home eagerly exclaiming "Mommy, we were scientists today! We dropped raisins in soda, and we made them dance!" While she was playing on another day, I heard her reciting the Spanish alphabet that she learned from 'Billingual Birdies'. Included in the program were computers, gym, science, and Spanish, in addition to multiple engaging learning centers that were in the classroom. She's learned so much - But what I honestly appreciated most because of the age she's at, is how much FUN she had each day. Instruction was implemented through hands-on experiences as well as structured skill practice. Although there's a strong focus on academics here, it's balanced with lots of organized play (learning centers) which to me, is essential for a young child's development. Character education (though not termed this way) is incorporated through religious instruction and visits to Chapel. Her teachers (Ms. Valerie and Ms. Nina) have so much energy and provided a atmosphere in which the children were made to feel valued and loved. Seemed like a lot of the faculty knew my daughter, which was so nice. From the administration, to the faculty, to the front office personnel - Everyone was always so kind, and helpful. (Love ya MaryAnn Dawson :-) ) Principal, Ms. Walters and Pastor David were awesome in assisting parents under adverse conditions - something I'll always remember. Great parent/teacher communication via Class Dojo, and nice community of parents.
