This was the first dental office I picked on my own with my new insurance, and I was honestly stressed about the whole process - finding a good provider, understanding coverage, and hoping it would be a positive experience. From the very first visit, I felt completely at ease. The front office staff are incredibly welcoming, kind, and organized. They helped explain everything clearly and made the coordination with my insurance completely painless. My hygienist is fantastic - super friendly, and always makes thoughtful conversation throughout the cleaning. Dr. Mohsen is also kind, professional, and explains things clearly without ever making you feel rushed or overwhelmed. You can tell the whole team genuinely cares about their patients. I always leave feeling happier than when I walked in, which is not something I ever thought I'd say about going to the dentist! And the little goody bag with dental supplies after the visit is such a thoughtful touch. I've mainly gone for routine care so far, but I'll definitely be coming back for any additional services I need in the future. Highly recommend Somerset Dental Professionals if you're looking for a kind, transparent, and reliable dental team.

I personally am NOT good at the dentist, I have a hard time, and they're all so patient and calm with me. They are super accommodating to those who have issues (modifying how they go about filling a cavity for me without risking quality). I personally have a bone to pick with dentists who are very patronizing when they realize it's been a while since you've been there or make you feel bad about the state of your dental health. Not everyone can even afford to go! This is NOT the case here!!! They are truly understanding and never make me feel bad. Only encourage good habits and don't make a big deal out of it when you have a cavity. In terms of the front desk. They are SO wonderful. They walk me through pricing and give me all the numbers I need. They also work directly with insurance and are overall extremely helpful. One of the hygienists actually remembered so many things about me (I had met her once and it had been a year and a half since!) I was shocked! Truly the best place to go. They make the dentist a calming process for me when I have a really hard time being there in the first place!

They were able to help fix my account and make sure my balance was zero. I appreciate the timely response after I left my review. While my experience with the billing and admin team wasn't ideal, I will reiterate that the dentists were great here and I appreciated their expertise. _______________________________________________ DO NOT GO HERE. The dentists are great but you'll also be handed a BILLING NIGHTMARE (there are multiple comments below that also say this - so BEWARE). They messed up my billing, tried to charge me twice, made me pay when cleaning is under my insurance and when I tried to call them, the receptionist/billing person didn't look into my account and told me they'd call me back. No call back. Instead, I called them and they ignored my calls or put me on hold for OVER 30 minutes and NEVER ANSWERED. DO NOT GO HERE if you want to be ripped off and end up spending all your time trying to fix their billing errors.

I scheduled an appointment for February 3, 2026, to see a specialist regarding a prior root canal. Despite being told over the phone by Yana that my x-rays had been received, I was asked for more upon arrival. The dentist then recommended a CBCT-scan but could not confirm insurance coverage. A receptionist, Priscilla, claimed she checked with my insurance and stated the scan was not covered, quoting me $921.00 out of pocket. She repeatedly pushed payment plans and FSA options, even though I expressed my discomfort with these suggestions. After contacting my insurance provider myself, I was informed the scan is absolutely covered. When I called KK Dental back with the insurance representative on the line, Priscilla was extremely rude, hostile, and mocked the representative's accent. She later confirmed the insurance was indeed correct, and my portion dropped to approximately $203. I later learned that my son had an identical experience at their North Brunswick location. He was forced to pay out of pocket for a covered procedure due to the urgency of his case, and the office has since been hostile and refused to issue a refund. Furthermore, during a follow-up call on February 5, 2026, I was told by staff member, Yana, that the scan was again not covered and that the dentist had decided on an extraction without even performing the scan. We believe these predatory billing practices need to be addressed publicly. We are planning to reach out to the local news to bring light to this issue. If you have had a similar experience and would like to join us in this effort, please let me know, and I will reach out to you with further details.

My primary dentist sent me to an endodontist to treat the problem which they felt was a root canal. But the endodontist said that after reviewing a full set of x-rays on the area in question said there was no problem that a root canal would solve. He referred me to a different endodontist for a second opinion who had the same conclusion. However, he routed me to a different endodontist who agreed to do the root canal but warned me that he wasn't sure that it would relieve me of the constant pain I was having. Fortunately, someone suggested Dr Panzarino to me and I went to see him prior to going to have the root canal. Dr. Panzarino also said that I did not need a root canal and suggested that my problem could be neurological not dental and that I should see a neurologist before getting any dental work done. I followed his advice, and he was 100% correct. A neurologist solved my problem, Dr Panzarino saved me from unnecessary and unsuccessful dental work and who knows how many more months of pain and uncertainty. I am so thankful that after going through 5 members of the dental profession, always getting the wrong answer, Dr Panzarino was there for me.

My experience is limited to Dr. Royzner so I can't personally vouch for the other doctors in this practice but I'm sure that they are similarly competent. Dr. Royzner did two root canals on me in one appointment and did so with the least amount of discomfort and consummate professionalism. The area where the roots attached to my jaw were badly infected and he managed to save both my teeth. My previous endodontist also did two root canals and the price that they quoted me for out of pocket with insurance was $1,000-$1,030 depending upon whether they had to take an X-ray or not. They ended up charging me over $1,800! (No wonder almost 25% of their reviews are one star!) At this practice I had the two root canals and they quoted me an out of pocket cost (with the same dental insurance mind you) of $1,000. That is exactly what they charged. Highly recommended!

For some reason, the Somerset office is much more organized and has a beautiful view of the farm across the street. Other than sometimes having a long wait time (today I waited in the dentist chair for 15-20 minutes before being seen), this office is pretty good. The oral hygienists and dentists do quite a nice job at cleaning my teeth. Additionally, I think they provide good oral hygiene tips and recommendations. Clean office. I visited the Somerset office of this "practice" on Monday, May 4, for a routine cleaning. Most dental insurance plans cover two cleanings each year. An employee took photos of my teeth. Afterward, one of the "dentists" at this practice claimed I needed a special cleaning that costs thousands of dollars and to have a filling redone that would cost $60 out of pocket. (My insurance would be on the hook for most of the cost of the cleaning but I'd have to pay upward of $600 out of pocket as well.) It's worth noting that most insurance plans also cover the cost of fillings. Judging by the many one-star reviews, it is clear this is a shoddy practice that puts profit above patients. One of the principles of the Hippocratic Oath -- which many medical students and physicians take in some capacity -- is to act in the best interest of the client. The "dentist" I spoke with during my visit did not act in my best interest. Needless to say I left without allowing her to perform any work on my teeth. The entire experience was distressing. Again, judging by my own experience and that of others who have left critical reviews, this facility has a pattern of quoting/charging obscene amounts for routine procedures. I have already reported this practice to the New Jersey Attorney General and hope they conduct a thorough review. I have also filed a complaint with my insurance company. I would not recommend anyone patronize this place unless you wish to risk being taken advantage of.

Extremely disappointing and frustrating experience--and honestly, consistent with the level of…read moreservice I've experienced here over time. I scheduled a straightforward, out-of-pocket cleaning because I was preparing to leave the country and wanted to take care of it beforehand. I was very clear over the phone that I did NOT want a full exam or additional services. This is not unusual for me. I typically get my teeth cleaned 3-4 times per year--twice through insurance and additional cleanings out-of-pocket. Jill and Olivia at this office have both handled these arrangements with me in the past without any issue. In this case, the office confirmed they would reach out if anything came up. Olivia later called and confirmed the appointment date, time, and the price--$150 for a cleaning only, no exam, no dentist required. At no point was there any indication that this arrangement would not be honored. When I arrived, the hygienist refused to perform the cleaning, suddenly claiming I needed to see the dentist first--something that was never communicated at any point prior. The office manager then came out, followed by the dentist. I explained that I've had this exact type of cleaning done at this office multiple times in the past without being required to go through an exam. The dentist's response was that it had been "allowed" previously, which only highlights how inconsistent their own policies are. What makes this worse is that I have in fact been seen within the past year--specifically in March 2025, June, and September. Despite that, the dentist claimed I had not been seen in over a year. At no point did anyone take the time to properly review or verify my records before refusing service. So as an established patient, I was turned away for a basic cleaning that was clearly scheduled, confirmed, and priced in advance--based on information that appears to be incorrect and without any effort to resolve it. What's most concerning is the lack of consistency and professionalism. I received one set of clear instructions and confirmations over the phone, only to be told something completely different once I arrived. Over time, visits here have also felt increasingly transactional. Appointments often include repeated recommendations for additional products or services--whether requested or not--which creates the impression that the focus is more on selling than on providing straightforward care. In this case, instead of receiving a simple cleaning before an international trip, I was denied service altogether with no attempt to find a solution or offer any reasonable path forward. This entire situation could have been avoided with basic communication and a simple review of records. I left without being treated and will be finding a new dentist. I would not recommend this office to anyone expecting clear communication, consistency, or a genuinely patient-focused experience.

The nitrous oxide AKA NO2 is $75option and they will try and put it through on your insurance. How could they charge so much you ask, because it feels awesome and everyone knows it (better than weed by far in my opinion), plus it makes a miserable procedure go from virtually unbearable to virtually unnoticeable. As far as the professionalism of the office they get top marks. With regards to the doctor that I saw whose name is escaping me right now, he's all business and really knows root canal. Believe it or not the dentist that sent me there "didn't feel comfortable doing root canal it on the molars", I found that kind of strange because I went to a professional, a dentist(!). Apparently this is pretty normal and this is why Endodontists exist. In fact given the skill level I would say go to an endodontist for any root canal, period.
