Green Frog Coffee Co. is a solid spot in Jackson for breakfast and lunch. I also love that they have a drive-thru and a really diverse menu with everything from salads to ice cream. Still highly recommend checking it out!

Diverse menu from salads to plate lunch specials of the day and ice cream and great coffee. Also breakfast is served all day. I had the Big BLT and it lived up to its name. The cashier recommended ditching the mustard so I did. It was delicious and the large thick sliced bacon was great. The French fries were also the bomb. I also tried the fruity sweet tea. Interesting! It was something that grew on you. At first it was a no but then after the flavors all mixed it was wow I could go for another but didn't. Service was very good and the cashier was supper friendly and knowledgeable. Neat decor probably aimed at younger folks. There is a fireplace and a counter where cole age folks were playing checkers. Other than that the lunch crowd appeared to be 40 and up despite the decor. Good food and service knows no age group

I love BBQ. I love authentic Southern BBQ in an authentic atmosphere. Winner. Drive south of town…read moreand keep your eyes peeled for Southern Smoke, just past Highway 459. The nice young lady at the corner was very patient with me, answering questions. The baked beans were out but miraculously a new batch appeared right as I ordered. Fritos pie: Had to grab this local staple. The pulled pork is so tender and you get so much for your money. I ordered my pie hot. That nice young lady asked if I wanted sauce for my pulled chicken and brought both hot and a special extra hot. Guess what went on everything! (I didn't ask if you can order it made with extra hot or you have to add your own. Still worth it.) Pulled chicken: Again, so tender. So flavorful. Atmosphere: Local joint, no frills, country music playing. Family owned. The only downside is they're not located closer to my home. Verdict: I had written best in the county, but this is taking over as top 3 I've ever had. I dare anyone else in Tennessee to top Southern Smoke.

Customer service was over the top. All the associates were so friendly and helped us with many questions about the area. It was a quaint little dining room and it was very clean. We asked what was a good meal for our first visit and they suggested chicken and turkey. I got the combo platter with those two selections and mac & cheese and baked beans. It was all so delicious and very nice portions. We left full and satisfied that we had stopped to give them a try. When you through Lexington, look them up and give them a try yourself. You will be glad you did. High recommended.

Highland Ave (a.k.a. Hwy 45), 38301. What a surprise and a treat! I think I met Miss Sue at F.F's Market a month ago. Just like some of their wonderful "Budders" (spelled correctly), she was super sweet and friendly. I think she would have let me sample everything. . . twice! Now onto the good stuff. . . They have over a dozen unique flavors. My likes are towards the savory, so the Garlic + Parsley was my favorite and I'd like to cook with the Three Berry (Blue, Black + Rasp) one. They offer several sugar-free flavors too. They are $7 for 16.oz or $18 for 3. Bryan & Sue have a dairy farm; I think they said you can stop by and purchase there too (more than the 'Budders'), I'm not sure so call first. The other contact number is 731.664.9389. If you are in the area, check 'em out, we need more "Out-of-the-Box" cooks/ artisans in this area!

My husband tried the pasta dish and was very pleased with it. Unfortunately, I could only give 4 stars because the service was less than good. Lots of socializing in the kitchen and not concentrating on filling drinks, bringing condiments in a timely fashion, etc. I have to say, the food on the dinner menu is worth putting up with the not so stellar service.
