This place is a-awesome. It's got a pub-like feel and boasts that it has been melbourne's first microbrewery. It has it's own ciders, beers (even a gluten-free beer called o'brien's), ginger ale and other drinks. Like it's name, it has a range of parma toppings which come with your choice of meat or veggie (veal, chicken or eggplant) and a side of chips and salad to share. My dinner mate had the o'brien's beer which basically glides down your throat. I had their home-brewed rasberry mead which is fresh rasberries, honey, water and alcohol. Slightly sweet, very light and 4.5% alcohol - au naturel! As I like spicy food, I was recommended to get the Parmageddon. Both my dinner mate and I got it. It has four different kinds of chilli sauce and is delicious. My dinner mate got the chicken version and I got the eggplant. Mine was succulent pieces of eggplant (four large pices) with laeyers of cheese, a good dose of chilli (not enough for me to require water or cry for help - maybe a level 2 out of level 5) and lots of herby flavours. The chips were ok. The salad was refreshing with lots of green leaves and cucumber. The eggplant parma is around $24 bucks from memory. Very quick service. Lovely staff. Great vibe. NExt time I'm going to get the kamikaze! :)

Nice pub. Large selection of Parma's. The taste was not my favorite. I did love the chips and the garlic bread. Other than that, come here for the brew. I don't drink but I did notice they has plenty and a local variety. Plenty of taxis that frequent this area if you need a ride home.

A fun venue that has nice craft beers that I haven't tried before and great tasting chips covered in a perfect chicken salt. The let down was the signature Parma. I tried the original, cause if that disappoints you know the rest may as well. The flavour was very plain which means none of the individual ingredients were top shelf. The chicken didn't even taste like nice chicken breast. The cheese had no cheese flavour, but was browned. The tomato sauce was completely tasteless and the ham had no smokiness. You get the idea - plain taste even after adding salt, which normally brings out the flavour in food.

Delicious parmigiana from Mrs Parma's in Melbourne!

Definitely one of the best parma's I've ever had! Mrs Parma's was a great choice for dinner one night while I was in Melbourne - although we were nearly turned away! Apparently this place gets busy and we just got in (last walk in). So keep that in mind if you're wanting to eat here. I got the regular parma and it was delicious, although there are many different toppings to choose from! I wish I had a Mrs Parma's near me (Sydney) because I would definitely be back here regularly!

Best Parma I've ever had!! This little pub is an amazing place to eat and have a drink. Right next to the Princess Theatre, so easy to have a meal after a show. Staff were great and welcoming. Parma's are huge so bring your appetite! Try the Parma'geddon if you like spice.

Nice little restaurant close to the Princess theatre where we saw a show on the night of our dinner. Glad we prebooked as the place was full and we had an allocated time for eating to get the next lot in! The Parma selection looked good and when they came were a large size! I had the special Parma of the night with Chorizo. The chicken (choice of chicken, veal and eggplant) was perfectly cooked. As someone who tries to eat healthy meals mostly, when I don't, I want a meal to be special, unfortunately it wasn't. Don't get me wrong, a good parma, but not great. Everyone else at the table was happy with their meal also, but didn't rave about it. The price for the parma was $26.50. We also received chips for the table (good) and a salad (ordinary). The service was great!

If you love a good parma, look no further than Mrs. Parmas! This is a specialty Australian beer pub that also offers their specialty parmas. You're given a menu where you choose your base(chicken, eggplant or veal), then there's a long list of toppings you can choose from for your parma (there's also an ever-changing specials menu). I always get the eggplant parma with Bolognese topping, it goes down an absolute treat! Your parma's may take a little while to come out, say 15-20mins-but this is because they are all freshly baked to order (and worth the wait). It comes out alone on a huge plate looking like a monster of a meal. Fantastic I think! A small side of salad and chips are served up separately as to not cramp your parma plate. I find their parma's to really be something special, the thickness of the meat/eggplant is perfect, the crumbing isn't soggy and the toppings hit all the right ratios. I would definitely suggest you try this place out if you enjoy a good parma and beer. The prices are a bit on the high side, but its definitely worth it-serving size is on the large side too.

Wow! Who knew that you could make so many different and varied parmas?!?! Currently mid bite in the chicken parma - bruschetta topping - and my oh my is it good. There's 14 different types of parma here which means I am going to have to come back again.

I did know that when I came here I was going to a gastronomic house of learning. Did you know a real parmigiana is made with eggplant and not chicken! Thanks Mrs Parma, you have turned my life upside down. I now my eggplant schnitzels at home all the time. Mrs Parma also knows what she is doing when it comes down to choosing the beers they supply to thirsty patrons of her fine establishment. Most of the beers are from local microbreweries. When you have your first refreshing sip you wonder why they are microbreweries and not one of the big boys or why they have not yet been brought by The Fosters Group.

Second time in a month that I went to Mrs. Parmas. If it's parmas you want, then this place has a stack of different toppings, including your traditional tomato and cheese topping. Offering veal or chicken as the base, and chips and salad on the side it's solid fare in a vibrant environment. Arrive early to get a table or a bit later and eat at a counter. Every meal is served promptly and in a friendly manner. Reasonably priced but drinks are a little on the expensive side but offered as pint or pot. Would recommend Mrs. Parmas especially before seeing one of Melbourne's fantastic theatre shows at any of the venues.

Honestly, the parmas here are not amazing. The beer selection more than makes up for it though.

The menu is very typical french (or so I was told), and with a large number of choices but nothing too special. Even their 'Specials', written in white chalk on several blackboards hanging on walls or positioned next to certain tables, are nothing over the top and do not display any form of risk taking by Monsieur Le chef, which could also be said of the wine list. The waiters are friendly, all speak french, and happy to serve. Prices are average as you'd expect, with occasional offers for lunches. The setting, ambience, lighting and red tableclothed theme work well for different occasions - from business lunches to second dates not followed by a third, etc.. I told her not to get her hopes too high though - it's kinda like pub food with more butter, yeah? This was certainly not the case, the dishes on offer at Bergerac were all complex, interesting and sounded mouth watering! We settled on the seafood platter (okay so it had a better French name) and the duck breast with cherry sauce (also, sounding better in French) and both dishes were really very nice! There was plenty of bread to accompany the dish, with staff constantly refreshing the bread basket! Although the meal was nice, it wasn't anything to write home about. Similarly the decor was a little questionable - my main issue was the lamps on many of the tables, a little tacky and potentially a tripping hazard! Also, the staff were lovely, all with French accents for that added authenticity (were they real, who really cares?!) however they seemed keen to assist customers who were not requesting assistance or clear tables that did not need clearing yet. Other than this, they were all lovely and helped to round out a genuinely fine night!

We used to come here frequently with the family, but now experiencing the rude service from two waitstaff tonight (one of which I have never had problems with over almost the last decade), and hearing the waitstaff conversation of ourselves and other customers, I would caution others. I don't think the waitstaff are happy people, and that sets up your dining experience. They mocked us when leaving, upsetting our young children. The staff seemed very happy to do so and became louder as we were leaving. Happy to speak to the chef owner should they want to seek constructive feedback. I love French food and I felt like I could have easily been in a French restaurant in the middle of Paris somewhere. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and great decor, and the food was lovely to boot. The service was a little average; nothing special, but ok. It was a bit slow to come out, but when it did, it was worth it. I had their Duck à l'orange which was beautiful and tasty. Portion sizes were good and I think it's worth their pricing. For dessert I chose the chocolate soufflé which was delicious and would definitely have again. They mixed my sister's dessert up, because I just don't think our waiter was listening, but she kind of liked what she got, which was lucky as we didn't want to wait for the right order to come. The one big negative I have, though, is this ... If you come here, they bring bread out to your table like they do in many other restaurants around Melbourne and around anywhere. HOWEVER ... they don't tell you that they're going to charge you for this. It's only $4, but it's the principle. I was outraged. Yes, I can afford $4, but either tell me that's what it is, or something. But don't deceivingly put something down on our table - that's complimentary almost anywhere else you go - and then charge for it. It's rude. Having said all of that ... I would love to come back again one time in winter maybe. I imagine it has a more cozy vibe then, and there's still a few other dishes that looked and smelled nice.
