For the customers convenience, we filled out forms on an I-pad device which was cleaned in-between patients. The check in process was quick and efficient. I signed in, paid my fee and waited for my tech to arrive and wheel me to the radiology area. I requested a wheel chair since I don't trust myself on crutches. Office Staff : 4.5 CT-Scan Technician: 5 Office Staff Covid CDC Procedures: 5 Prices: 3 (Expensive) Decor: 5 Location & Parking: 5 Once the technician(Stanley Harrold) came to get me, he was very pleasant and explained to me what he was doing while reassuring me that everything would be OK. He did explain his findings and told me that I didn't have 3 broken bones. I had 6 broken bones and Spiral fractures along the sides of my calf. I recently had fallen twice while using crutches so I knew additional damage was caused to my injured foot. My pain has been excruciating and relentless. The images explained what I had suspected all along and my heart sank. Tha technician Mr.Harrold spoke to my husband and I. He reassured us that everything would be fine and that I was in good hands. He also went on to say that my physician Dr.Johanesmeyer will explain to us my injury, his intended goal in regards to my Ankle repair and exactly what to expect afterwards. Quite honestly, I became overwhelmed, devastated, shocked and in disbelief at the magnitude of my injury. Overall, I am very satisfied with this radiology office. It's easy to drive here, there's plenty of parking, and I was treated very well. Everyone in this office was compassionate and helpful. I highly recommend .

My family's experience during pregnancy care and delivery here was deeply mixed. There were…read moreindividual caregivers who were exceptional, but the overall system and process left us disappointed and, frankly, shaken. During high-risk screenings, we raised specific concerns about potential complications. Rather than feeling heard and evaluated in a focused way, the process felt standardized and procedural. We were given strong reassurance that certain conditions were not present, only to discover immediately after birth that one of those exact conditions was, in fact, present. Communication during follow-up screenings was also confusing. Important findings were shared casually and without context. We were moved through additional monitoring without clear explanation of what was being evaluated, what the risks were, or why certain decisions were being made. The experience felt checklist-driven rather than patient-centered. After delivery, the lack of coordination and condition-specific knowledge became more concerning. We received confident assurances about feeding and care approaches that later proved unrealistic given our child's medical needs. Some staff were clearly trying their best, but others spoke with certainty about issues they did not fully understand. Our newborn was handled and examined at times without meaningful explanation or discussion. For a family navigating unexpected medical complexity, that lack of clarity adds unnecessary stress. There were also smaller but telling process issues. For example, the hospital seemed unprepared to accommodate a vegetarian diet. Food orders were repeatedly incorrect despite clear communication about dietary preferences. While this may seem minor compared to medical care, it reflects broader coordination and communication gaps that were noticeable throughout our stay. That said, I want to clearly recognize the caregivers who made a meaningful difference. Emma, Lauren, Melisa, Susana, Suzi, Emily, Holly, Riley, and Jenn were compassionate, patient, and professional during an incredibly vulnerable time for our family. They treated us with dignity, listened to our concerns, and approached our baby with gentleness and care. Their empathy and steadiness did not go unnoticed. Kerstin, the occupational therapist who worked with us on feeding challenges, was exceptional. She was knowledgeable, calm, and deeply invested in helping us navigate a complex situation. She listened carefully, adjusted her approach thoughtfully, and demonstrated humility and genuine curiosity. That mindset made a profound difference in our experience and reflects what patient-centered care should look like. What ultimately left a lasting impression was not a lack of technology or medical capability, but what felt like a systemic process issue. Too often, the experience felt driven by routine protocols rather than individualized listening and critical thinking. When hospitals rely heavily on standardized workflows without tailoring them to patient concerns, families can feel unheard and underserved. There are clearly compassionate professionals working here, and several of them had a very positive impact on us. However, the broader communication and coordination gaps significantly affected our trust. I hope this feedback is received constructively and used to improve transparency, individualized care, and condition-specific preparedness for future families navigating high-risk pregnancies and unexpected diagnoses.

I work in the medical field myself and American Health Imaging supersedes any experience I've previously had with traditional hospital facilities, and of course cost.!! The procedure took 35 minutes, I was supplied with headphones, blanket, and iPads, along with music of my choice to listen to. it made for a very comfortable experience. At the end of the procedure, I was given a disk with my information on it. I am highly recommending American Health Imaging for any of your radiology needs. Excellent all around.

She was very professional, ensured all of my questions were answered prior to my appointment, and she was very timely in getting back to me. It was nice to finally meet her on the day of my appointment. The MRI technician, Judith, was also very professional and kind during the day of my visit. I was nervous about my scan because I expected to be going in feet first instead of head first. Unfortunately, I had to go in head first (FYI, you can't go in feet first at that facility apparently), and my scan lasted approximately one hour. I told her I was nervous about this, and she ensured me that she would keep me comfortable. Judith agreed to talk to me and check in with me throughout the procedure, which she did. This made me feel so much more comfortable and at ease during the experience. She also made sure I was comfortable inside the machine, chatted with me about my dog, and kindly burned me a CD copy of my scan to keep on record. Overall, I highly recommend Charleston Imaging Center for any of your imaging needs. If I ever need imaging in the future, I will definitely go here. I came from 5 hours away in North Carolina. The drive was worth it, and I would do it again.

But the female receptionist is a matter of fact ice queen, with a rude disposition. We noticed this when we arrived early for check in. But it wasn't personal, she treated further incoming patients with her Stalin type welcome. After leaving said location, I realized I had not requested or received a doctors excuse for my child. I called back and requested one be faxed. She informed me my child had already came back in to retrieve one. Which was impossible, since my child was riding with me. She explained to me she was too busy with a patient to do it now. She would do it later. That's the same thing she told me when I entered the building for the first time. But it gets better. The fax never was sent. So once again I called in and was told it would be done by another person. It never happened. I called in again, and spoke with her once more, and she said she was busy with a patient and would call me back. I called once again and with a rasp voice she handed over the phone to a gentlemen. He tried to fax, technical errors first try. Which he called me. Technical errors I understand. I sent him a fax, and he received. So he re faxed and it was successful. The only issue here is one female desk receptionist with a bad attitude and a constant response of I'm busy with a patient, whether your their or on the phone. But in her defense, she doesn't just target one person. She's a joyful basket of sunshine for everyone. Not! Also I'm adding that the young gentlemen did call and confirm I received the fax, and he was courteous. His counterpart could learn a lot from him.
