However, this year I have not been able to get them on the phone to schedule an appointment. I have called and left a message with no return call, as well as called and waited on hold for over 20 minutes with no-one ever picking up. Normally, I schedule the same day I get my orders to avoid 2 separate trips to Mt Pleasant, but not this year. Therefore, I will be switching to another facility. This is unfortunate.

When I asked about this, I was told they were working on it. I added to appointment details to my calendar. I show up for my 7:45am appointment and am told I must be mistaken because they do not start until later in the day that day of the week. After some discussion, it's determined I'm booked for the wrong procedure. The check in people have not arrived yet for the day. So after some waiting around, I'm taken back for my screening. The tech was great. Friendly and efficient. I then get a call From someone at the office that the doctor would like to see me for a follow up. I book an appointment. Two days prior the next appointment, I get a call confirming my appointment and my financial responsibility for the appointment which will be $800. After virtual no communication from the doctor about why the appointment was necessary and a lack of explanation upon booking the follow up about the increased nature of the expense, I decided to move the appointment. I asked to be emailed an estimate. It's been a day and I have not received it. Overall, they seemed disorganized. I'll take my business somewhere else where the communication is better and more thorough. Updating my review from three to four stars. I called back and spoke directly with a tech. She was very helpful in explaining things to me. She reconnected me with the finance department. The gal there remembered talking to me, apologized for the email not getting sent, and was very helpful in getting me the info I needed.

After doing an extensive cross check of cost American health imaging was by far the cheapest option. My experience today was such a pleasure from the moment I walked through into the office to the end of my procedure. The staff of courteous kind very professional and made sure that I was well aware of the procedure itself and the cost involved. I have to say I was super impressed. I work in the medical field myself and American Health Imaging supersedes any experience I've previously had with traditional hospital facilities, and of course cost.!! The procedure took 35 minutes, I was supplied with headphones, blanket, and iPads, along with music of my choice to listen to. it made for a very comfortable experience. At the end of the procedure, I was given a disk with my information on it. I am highly recommending American Health Imaging for any of your radiology needs. Excellent all around.

Pleasant, SC, offers patients the very best in spine health expertise, technology and procedures. They have a wonderful physician staff, which includes spine surgeons, neurosurgeons, sports medicine orthopedic specialists, non-surgical rehab doctors and pain management specialists. My Mom has degenerative disc disease and Dr. Steven Poletti has successfully done two back surgeries on her. She has sung his praises for years to so many family members and friends. Unfortunately, he (or SSI) will not see her anymore because she has Humana Insurance or because my Mom's plan changed under Humana. I just know, if she goes there, they won't accept her insurance. She's 84 now, so I'm hoping she continues to do well. I went to SSI in June of 2024 and saw Dr. Timothy Bryan. Dr. Bryan sent orders downstairs to their surgical center for me to get an injection by Dr. Levin. Two days after getting the injection, my arthritis/sciatica pain was completely gone. No nicer group than the ones in the surgical center. Thank you, Dr. Levin!! Beautiful, clean, new building Wonderful, on-site surgical center MRIs done in the same building The Surgical Staff is the nicest! Only thing I could suggest.... The lobby is so huge when you walk in on the main floor. Maybe a snack cart, or vending machine to sell snacks or drinks? If a patient is seen up stairs, then goes to get an MRI, then they are sent to get a shot, your wait time could be longer than expected. Your driver may need a drink while they wait on the patient, too! **If you visit, take a drink and a snack, especially if you're a diabetic.

I arrived to my 2:40 PM appointment about five minutes early. As soon as I checked in at the desk, the receptionist directed me into an exam room to get my shot. The nurse, Norine, was upbeat and positive. She asked a few questions- the usual consent to receive the vaccine, and that I had not tested positive for COVID recently or received antibody treatments. Norine said she'd been giving COVID-19 vaccines every day since February, and she was a pro. I barely felt the needle. My second appointment is in three weeks, as I got the Pfizer vaccine. I waited for 15 minutes before leaving, which is standard for COVID-19 shots. There are no magazines in the waiting room, so if you don't want to be on your phone, take a magazine or book. Parking is free in the large lot, and I only spent about 20 minutes total (shot + wait) here. The one side effect I experienced was soreness at the injection site, for about a day. The only thing that could've improved my experience would be a fun band-aid or a sticker, but alas, I got a shot of hope for returning to normal in the future.
