The doctors don't care or answer your questions. Went through my first pregnancy and just had my…read morebaby. Had to come in 4-5 days after birth to check my blood pressure. They said oh walk in and we'll check it for you. So when I arrive with my 4 day old baby I end up waiting an Hour for a blood pressure check. I wasn't waiting for a doctor or anything just for a MA to check my blood pressure. I will be finding a new Obgyn office this one sucks.

Dr. Caddell delivered my baby three weeks ago via C-section. I am extremely thankful the surgery…read moreresulted in a healthy baby. However, I am disappointed in Dr. Caddell leading up to and following the surgery. I have Type 1 Diabetes and openly shared my desire to go into labor naturally (as long as my blood sugar remains controlled throughout the pregnancy). Dr. Caddell did not voice opposition to this until three weeks before she recommended we induce. She shared her recommendation was solely based on me having Type 1 Diabetes despite having exceptional blood sugar control. When I asked if my husband and I could have a few minutes to talk about the induction, Dr. Caddell pretended to look at a watch on her wrist (even though she wasn't wearing a watch) and stated that I had to make a decision right now because "These appointments are only supposed to be 15 minutes long." My husband and I decided we did not want to be rushed into making a decision (since it was not a medical emergency) and we left the appointment without giving her a decision. Eventually, we agreed to being induced and felt the impact of how unprepared she was at providing for someone with Type 1 Diabetes. My blood sugar was going low as I was going into surgery. I told the nurse and the anesthesiologist that I was going low, and they both said they would monitor my blood sugar in surgery. On the operating table, I again told the anesthesiologist I felt like my blood sugar was going low and asked for some juice or something to regulate my blood sugar. He responded that he would be monitoring my blood sugar while in surgery. After surgery my body started experiencing hypoglycemia. I was extremely dizzy, vomiting profusely, violently shaking, and on the verge of passing out. My husband and I told the nurses I needed some juice or something to raise my blood sugar, but they refused stating the number listed on my Dexcom was a few shy of what they when they would intervene. My husband tried to administer a manual glucose test (finger prick) to show the medical staff that my blood sugar was lower than what the Decxcom was reading it is common for continuous glucose monitors's readings to be off), but the medical staff told my husband he was not permitted to administer a manual glucose test. My condition continued to worsen for the next 4.5 hours. My husband, my doula, and I were pleading with the nurses to call the doctors before I went into a coma. Finally, the nurse shared she didn't want to call the anesthesiologist because "he was sleeping." Eventually, we got the anesthesiologist on the phone (4.5 hours in) and he laughed at the situation without offering any support. Dr. Caddell was made aware of the situation as well but did not offer any guidance/support of check up on me. Thankfully, my maternal fetal doctor came and ordered the nurse to provide me with an IV of basically sugar water to help raise my blood sugar. I stayed in the hospital for a total of 5 days. Dr. Caddell did not come check on me or call to check on me one time while in recovery. Even during my follow up appointment, Dr. Caddell did not take responsibility as my OBGYN. Her lack of preparedness to provide for someone with Type 1 Diabetes was even seen by me having to correct every nurse who came into the room who thought I had gestational diabetes instead of Type 1 Diabetes. During my follow-up appointment with Dr. Caddell, she did not take accountability for the situation but instead blamed my hypoglycemia symptoms on my husband saying "we were going off of the numbers your husband showed us" (again not acknowledging Dexcom readings can we off, my symptoms of hypoglycemia, refusal to allow us to verify blood sugar with a finger prick, or us voicing that I know my body and needed something to bring my blood sugar up). I have also suffered an infection on my C-section incision of which I am still trying to heal from. I am very disappointed in the hospital staff, but ultimate responsibility falls on the OBGYN, Dr. Caddell, who was in charge of my care. Summary: - Not prepared to provide for someone with Type 1 Diabetes - Rushed appointments- is more interested in keeping appointments short than being patient centered - Unwilling to check up on patients following a complication - Was not forthcoming about recommending induction regardless of blood sugar control

From the moment I walked in, everything stood out--the clinic was spotless, the process was efficient, and every staff member I encountered was genuinely service-oriented. The check-in clerk and nurse were warm, attentive, and professional, setting the tone right away. Then I met Dr. John Turner--and that's where this experience went from good to exceptional. Within seconds of entering the room, his calm, relaxed demeanor and caring presence put me completely at ease. I've had many good doctors over the years, but this was different. Dr. Turner didn't just see a patient--he saw me as an individual. That distinction matters more than most people realize. His approach was thoughtful and methodical. He didn't rush, didn't assume, and clearly explained how he arrived at his diagnosis. There was a quiet confidence in how he communicated--no need to "perform" or impress. It was simply evident that he cares deeply about both his craft and the people he serves. One small but telling moment stood out: the way he introduced his medical student. There was genuine respect and honor in his tone--he treated her not as someone "below" him, but as a valued part of the process. That kind of leadership says a lot about a person's character. By the end of the visit, I realized I hadn't just received medical care--I had experienced a level of professionalism and humanity that's increasingly rare. Highly recommend this clinic--and especially Dr. Turner--to anyone looking not just for answers, but to be truly seen and cared for.

She actually SAW how much pain I was in, didn't brush me off like some disposable patient, and took the time to listen, validate every damn thing I was feeling, and handle my care like I was her only priority that day. She got me sorted, explained everything without talking down to me, and genuinely gave a fuck--something I haven't felt from medical people in a hot minute. *After getting ZERO help from the Methodist ER in Stone Oak, Misty turned that nightmare around and made me feel seen, cared for, and actually treated. I actually walked out with a smile on my face despite how much pain I was in thanks to her. *If you're hurting and need someone who gives a real shit instead of just punching a clock, demand Misty and her Team. They are the MVP of urgent care, hands down. *Thank you, Misty--you're a freaking lifesaver. My Urgent Care Clinic is lucky to have you. Go see her and her team. You won't regret it.
