I've been a customer for years, purchasing plaques for achievements for our company as well as for personal. I've never had a problem before, but it had been a few years since my last purchase and so much has changed there in those years. This purchase was such a cluster of bad business, unfortunately I will never return. There was an issue with the payment, and the attitude I received from the sales manager, Alysha, was so off putting that I seriously questioned the whole purchase. I had paid for the order through an email sent by their online payment system, because I live an hour away (yes, I traveled an hour each way to have plaques made because my experience in the past had been excellent) I put it on a credit card for security/protection reasons because you can't be too careful with online purchases. The sale went through and I received confirmation on it from their online system, so I had assumed production would begin. Weeks later I receive an email saying that I needed to pay for the purchase. Confused, since I had already paid I contacted them, they said they hadn't received payment. I called the credit card company, they said payment was showing. After a couple of confusing back and forth's the sales manager stepped in. I again called the credit card company who told me the purchase was on hold because the company thought it was a fraudulent charge and flagged it. Ahhh, ok. A strange series of events but things happen. I paid for the order a different way. This order was to be a Christmas present originally ordered mid November. On December 23rd I called to check the status because I hadn't heard anything. I was told the order was in and ready for pick up. Why wasn't I notified? I had to re-arrange my work schedule to make a 2 hour trip to pick the order up (originally was going to be shipped due to the distance) in order to have the gift in time for Christmas...problems arise in business, I get that, the way in which problems are handled makes or breaks everything. In this case, a problem arose and I was met with attitude and obstacles at every turn, seemingly as if the customer is a nuisance in the sales managers eyes. I belong to two professional organizations, and Mr. Trophy has flawlessly handled our need for engraved plaques since 1996. The staff is a dream to work with and have always been super pleasant to me. Whenever I walk into the store, I am always entertained just walking around and looking at the sheer number of different trophies, and plaques, and all kinds of trinkets. It's pretty conveniently located, just off the Brainard Rd exit on 91. Today, I dropped in to pick up an engraved plaque for one of our officers, they did a nice job with the engraving and with the logo. A very nice looking engraved plaque cost us around $40 - pretty reasonable for sure. No complaints whatsoever. read more

Wow! Mr. Trophy staff rocks! COVID hit us all hard but hit the kids harder. I am the mother of a high school senior who was unable to play his final football season. Despite the loss, he and two of his teammates were able to secure positions with four year colleges to continue to play the game they love.
