I don't have any pictures but I've been going here for about a year now, and it's just inane how authentic it is. Look at my profile photo, I don't even know what authentic means for Mexican cuisine--but this is absolutely delicious, from their tacos, to burritos, to Nacho Fries, Sopas and Pupusa. Ugh I hate giving a locally owned and operated business anything less than 5 stars. I love Al pastor tacos but theirs were just not that great, no pineapple and overly salty. However I am fairly sure the tortillas were homemade and they were great! The spicy salsa was delicious too. I drive through this area a lot and will come again and try more items. I love that they have pupusas, gorditas and sopes. The place is really cute and the service is friendly and fast. read more

was in town on the way home after a day leaf peeping on the parkway. had dinner elsewhere but couldn't stay for dessert so we came instead! (thank you Yelp!) short detour and a little roundy-round driving and parking and stuff and TADA!! walked in and see a few of the day's leftovers in the case, yea! prizes!! :-) got a platter, got the tongs, got a sack o' snacks, but got no pictures because, well, you know, mexicookies... so good... bummer for all y'all but the camera doesn't eat first at the panaderia. sorry, not sorry! true to form the colors don't mean flavors in the typical anglo-pastry sense and the pineapple upside-down cakelettes :-) judging by the name, the signage, the menus, and the delightful aromas coming from the kitchen I'm pretty sure they serve regular foods here as well. Mr. Toro is awesome. What a great restaurant. A nice family run business. Mr. Toro and his family obviously know what they're doing when it comes to great tacos and Hispanic menu items. The fajitas are the best in town the tacos have no equal. I love the local Mexican restaurants and frequent them regularly. However, Mr. Toro's is the best. Delicious, fresh, clean, conveniently located Mr. Toro's has it all. Mr. Toro asked me do you want chicken tacos, steak tacos, beef tacos, fish tacos, shrimp tacos, or pork tacos? I told him I'll take all of them and I'm glad I made that choice. I do not have a favorite next time I go I will get all of them again. Best ever. Great family. Great restaurant. I highly recommend this place. I can't wait to go back this coming week. Bravo. read more

Stumbled on this place on a road trip. It was just what I needed after a busy day skiing. The restaurant is so cute with colorful decorations everywhere. The menu is super affordable with most dishes around $8 and the most expensive item around $13. I ordered the carne asada plate which was so flavorful and delicious. Ask for the spicy salsa! It's made from smoked peppers and really adds to the flavor. My boyfriend got the pork torta which was great, served on homemade bread. There's also a little bakery stand full of delicious pastries, we bought 4 of them to go. They were super affordable at $1.50/2 per pastry. I wish I lived closer so I could come back! read more

Go ahead do yourself a favor and order one of everything! After riding on the parkway we were searching for somewhere to eat and stumbled into Mr. Toro's. Here's what we tried: chicken tacos, carne asada plate, chicken quesadilla, pupusas, yuca frita, strawberry agua fresca -- ALL AMAZING!! My boyfriend is Salvadoran so we eat our fair share of Hispanic food and we have to say this is one of the best places we've ever eaten! The tortillas are as good as if not better than the tortillas I had in Mexico! Truly authentic and delicious! The customer service was great as well super friendly. We will definitely be making the hour and half drive back for another visit. read more

spent almost 12$ for a ACP that looked like a child made it. no cheese at all and it was soupy? I won't be coming here anymore

The pupusa's were really nice and tasted very authentic. Everyone was wearing masks and the staff were very professional and kind.

Everything we ordered was great! Fresh and delicious. Make sure you get the homemade chips, guacamole and salsa.

Worst pupusas ever! The chicken tastes like tuna and they were flattened to the point that what little meat and cheese it has was all smashed into the shell making it watery on top of the tuna tasting chicken. Disgusting!!!! read more

Really good pupusas best around not greasy lots of filling. The owner was very accommodating and kept place open later so we could come in and pick up our order. The fresh aguas frescas are very good also. read more

Passing through town on a perfect Saturday, saw the pastry case through the window and stopped for a quick snack. Turned into a whole meal because the pupusas and burritos looked too good. They were outstanding! Highly recommend! Pastries are delicious too and got extras for the ride home. Will be back for sure. read more
