I broke a tooth and had some pain so I thought I would be best to come in and get it fixed. I was charged over $200 for a visit that was all of 10 minutes. I was charged $175 for and "exam" when no actual debris ever looked in my mouth. A dental hygienist or dental assistant looked in my mouth but no actual dentist looked in my mouth or did an exam. I was the quoted $680 to fix a chipped tooth which is unheard of in any reasonable dental practice in the states. After texting a family member who is a dentist, who advised me if I'm not in extreme pain wait until I'm home due to the rip off this place is trying to charge, I declined care. After my less them 10 minutes in the offices they charged over $200 dollars. Over $20 for an X-ray and 175 for an exam that did not take place with an actual dentist. This place is in the business of scamming desperate tourists who are in pain and charging them when they do not actually help them. Very poor bedside manner and just out for the money. I would recommend avoiding this place at all costs.

All the instructions pre and post-operatively were explained to me perfectly and my recovery so far (2 days out) has been extraordinary. After visiting one dentist and being told the bridge needed to be removed and implants placed - period - I knew I needed to keep searching. When I told this dentist I did not want implants he shuffled me off to see a denturist - because making a denture would be beneath his superior skills - I suppose? The denturist quoted a fee that was $600.+ above the actual BC recommended fee guide for DENTISTS. This was not acceptable to me. Then, a friend recommended the Dundarave Dental Clinic, and I found Dr. Tina Dhillon. She saw me immediately, and, low and behold, gave me 3 options, all of which she would complete herself, no shuffling me off to other providers. I have worked in the dental field for 45 years. My dentist was retired and this is why I was searching for an honest, talented dentist. There are always options, beginning with the least ideal and least expensive to the most ideal and most expensive and, sometimes, there is an option in between. Which is what I chose, the in-between. Dr. Dhillon completed my fairly extensive treatment with such skill that, after every visit, I was thanking my lucky stars for finding her. She carefully cut out the bridge leaving part of it intact - amazing!!! No one previously had suggested they could save part of my existing bridge! She then extracted the "culprit" tooth - with such finesse that my post-op recovery was painless with absolutely no swelling. Now that's a gentle dentist! After a 6 week recovery period, Dr. Dhillon made my tiny (2 teeth) partial denture to fit the space which would help retain the integrity of my lower arch and restore my "chewing" function. This little denture cost $700. less than the denturist had quoted! Next on my agenda is a thorough exam and hygiene appointment with this amazing team. Trust is such an important issue in a dentist-patient relationship and I know I can trust Dr. Dhillon in the future with whatever she recommends I may need to retain my smile. And a big shout-out to Diane, her extremely skilled and friendly certified dental assistant, and to Novi her efficient and kind receptionist. You have one helluva team Dr. Dhillon! After my many years working with dentists to foster and build great teams that delivered the best patient care, you can take that compliment to the bank! If you are looking for a new dentist or, you have a concern about treatment that has been recommended, then you need to see Dr. Tina Dhillon and her team! You won't regret it.
