Zero stars. They didn't double-check the brakes were working when they installed my break pads and new tires. Then my car rolled into a truck in the parking lot and into a cinder wall. I brought my son's car in today to have a new tire put on. They put the tire on and never checked the tire or balance. When I pulled off the pressure was 37 on the new left tire, 42 on the back and 41 on the right. I called and was told they checked the tire pressure. NO WAY. I took the car to Woody's and they politely added air. Two weeks ago they tried to sell me 4 overpriced tires which I got for $200 cheaper at PEP Boys. BEWARE! read more

Went in for alignment. I paid for the work and when given the alignment print out saw the right front was still way off. They told me it needed a camber bolt. Shouldn't they have taken care of that while doing the work I was paying for? Also upon looking closer at the invoice I saw they were charging me for brake work. I didn't need or ask for brake work and they never discussed it with me. After bringing all of this to their attention was offered refund for brake work not alignment. Huh? Was told it would have to come from corporate after only five minutes. After five calls to corporate I finally got a human voice and after another few calls I was refunded my money for the total job . I'm supposed to be happy with getting my refund I guess , but I had to take my car somewhere else to get a simple alignment done correctly! Shouldn't be this hard. read more

Scheduled for tire rotation and tire patch. Was behind on original appointment so got rescheduled. Went in again and they are hours behind again. What happened?? I have been bringing my vehicles here for years, always bragged on how good, honest, and friendly their team was. Today I had an appointment for an oil change and needed my state inspection done. I have always had it done here. I made my appointment online for this morning so it wouldn't be very busy, and it didn't appear to be. I waited alone at the counter for several minutes before the guy came in to greet me. I looked around and saw no one I recognized from all the years I have been going. He told me I should have called because they don't have anyone to do inspections, but he will do my oil change. He said to just go down the road, there are places you can get it inspected. He said he would be back, needed to get information off my car, so I sat down. I kept waiting for him to ask me which oil change I wanted, if I wanted air filter, anything else - because they always asked me first. Nope, 40 minutes later, he said it was ready. I guess he chose which oil change I was getting and I will need to make another appointment - SOMEWHERE ELSE - to get the air filter and wiper blades I intended to ask for along with the full synthetic oil change I wanted for my high mileage car. It was 50 dollars, so I know it wasn't the one I wanted. Then I went down the road to get it inspected and was told my coolant was completely empty. How? Isn't fliud replacement included anymore?? Needless to say, I was highly disappointed and wasted my time there this morning. Also, it was kind of gross that he had a vape he kept hanging out of his mouth while he was speaking to customers. Can't recommend Mr Tire enough. They are customer focused. I've bought a set of tires with them and they were quickly installed and I was on my way. I've taken a flat from my 2nd car there and the quickly repaired it due to rim damage, at no charge. Great place to trade tires, IMO. read more

As I was putting air in my tires at a gas station, the valve stem popped off one of them. I walked to the closest tire place and the manager Jeff was extremely helpful and had Todd come out to put the spare on my car. They replaced my valve stem and put the tire back on and filled the tires with air so I didn't break another valve off. So grateful for such wonderful service and hospitality! Let me start by saying, I have been using this place for years! At least 4 years. Ive always trusted them and felt like they were honest, reasonably priced and convenient for me. However my last two visits haven't had the same feel. Disappointing. Last visit I went in telling them I thought I needed a new battery because my car kept stalling out. They confirmed that I needed a battery, price was high so with some push back from me they "gave me a discount since I'm a long time client." Come to find out, it wasn't the battery it was something to do with my gas tank. I figured, well I spent some money that I didn't need to but it can't hurt to have a new battery. Today I went in for my oil change and a tire repair. My total was 74.00. That seems awfully high and when I questioned it, they had changed me 29.00 for the tire repair. Seems high and trust me, I am in no way looking for something for free. Yesterday, when I went to good year they offered to patch it for free, but wouldn't have the time until today. In the past, in a pinch I've brought cars places( you get a lot of nails in your tired here in Charlotte it seems!!!) and they too have patched for free or under 10.00. But my own place, that I use for all my services charged me almost 30 bucks! Wow. They also said I needed four tires, when the guy at good year yesterday (who's never seen me in his life) said I should get two front tires but back looked ok. I'm frustrated! Are sales down? Money tight? Same people, but totally different feel these last two visits. Feeling really disappointed, looks like it's time to find a new place. UGH. read more

So I bought my sister's Grand Cherokee Jeep she live up north she had bought her tires at Mr Tires there before I left the state I had to transfer the warranty into my name there was a charge around $85 dollars Ever time I go to this location there is something yes this is my fault because I continue to go there but I figure give the another chance But this time will definitely be the last the MAnager there needs a full training in Customer Service because when I asked a question he basically be little me, the last time I checked this is not the 1950's So Stop treating Woman like we don't know anything about our cars that we bought! I brung my car to them to get wheel alignment did great got the service done in about an 1hr and half getting me a 6 month warranty. Great right ! But the issue is i didn't know the bushings on my end of control arms were done. But instead of telling after using my warranty and coming back a 2nd time it was just a smile and "you'll be back to spend more money" Don't take your car there. honesty is the best policy for repetitive customers and i will defiantly not be going back. The best service in town. Before last week I only thought they did tires, but I was WRONG. I had a complicated wiring issue that caused a huge snowball of other problems (ignition module, fuel regulator, ignition coil, crankshaft... You name it). The technician Johnathan M. was amazing. He stayed on the job and now has my car running better than it did 10 years ago. They were always honest and upfront about the price and what needed to be done. Before going out of town I checked the oil and it was barely visible on the dip stick. I stopped by Mr. Tire to buy a couple of quarts of oil but was told they didn't sell motor oil but they would help me by adding enough oil to show I was not in the danger zone n the dip stick. If you want your vehicle returned with lugnuts securely attached DO NOT GO to the Indian Trail, NC Mr. Tire. Customer service was non-existent. My husband and I drove 75mph on the interstate with loose bolts on ALL four tires as document by the Nissan Dealership that I took the vehicle too for what I thought was a mechanical issue. They fixed my tire for free for my first time visit assited me in getting a credit line so i can have my car repaired there and it right down the street from my townhome. I had been a customer of Mr. Tire (formally Clark Tire) for about 10 years and was even a former employee. Under the Clark Tire flag I had never had any issues and have recommended several people to them who are all customers. All of that changed with my last visit!! I went in for an oil change and tire rotation, but I also bought aftermarket headlight bulbs that were much brighter and asked them to install. I was charged $30 to have them installed (which is understandable) and was charged appropriately for the oil change and tire rotation. I quickly realized my tires were not rotated (I know this because I have a slow leak in a tire and it never moved positions). I didn't use my headlights until the next night and when I go on the road I could not see anything!! One light was pointed low left and the other was directed straight down. I called to advise that I could not see and the manager told me that it could not have been from them installing and it must be because they lights need adjusted (it happens over time but I have a 2014), which is strange considering they were perfect until they put the brighter style in. The fact that they immediately deflected any responsibility was very frustrating, and it was a clear message that they were unwilling to even look to see if there was something incorrect with the install before advising "It could not have been cause when we changed the bulbs" I took the car to another repair shop and just asked if they could adjust my lights, and they promptly came back and asked if I installed them myself because they were not even latched into place. I will never go back to Mr. Tire and have advised all I know not to go back. My company also takes their fleet there and I have sent a formal request to review Mr. Tire and try other companies. At the very least they have lost 5 long time and loyal customers. read more

I saw an Mr. Tire advertisement on a Google search for an oil change that had a coupon for $14.99. I called the store, spoke to the Manager Jeff and verified the coupon, and I then set an appointment for Saturday morning @ 10:45 and I arrived on time. Upon checking in with the same Manager, Jeff informed me that they no longer accept this particular coupon because it is Conventional oil and they only sell Synthetic oil at this store. I questioned this claim but he said it was a mistake even though the recently printed ad clearly states otherwise. When I pressed him on why he didn't tell me this over the phone, he said that the corporate office handles all the advertising and he has no idea which coupon is being advertising on any given day. He said he would "help me out as best as he could with a similar discount" and offered me a Synthetic oil change for $19.99. What could I do but accept? I had to get the oil change, my light was on, it was Saturday, most places close early and I was looking to not pay $40 otherwise I would have gone to the Jiffy Lube place closer to the house. After 10 minutes he then proceeded to tell me that I needed a whole host of other repairs in order to drive off the lot and not have my car fall apart, I declined. About 20 minutes later the oil change was completed (I think). I have no way of knowing if I got conventional or synthetic oil but if he had honored the discount, I wouldn't be wondering either. In the end it cost me $28.00 after paying a bunch of Fees and taxes, I guess there really is no Honesty in advertising anymore. Next time I will go to the shop I know, like and trust even though it will cost more, I hate dishonest people who hide behind empty excuses and are unwilling to take responsibility for their actions! My husband took our car in for an oil change and they asked if he wanted a tire rotation and he said yes. After they started working on the car, my husband realized that he forgot to give them the $34.99 coupon with Free tire rotation and battery check, which is posted ON THEIR WEBSITE. The manage tells him that no, that coupon is for Mr. Tire and not accepted. Well, I got the coupon for Mr. Tire, Formerly Clark Tire, at the address that my husband went to. So is this a mystery location? So we spent $80 on an oil change and tire rotation when it shouldn't have been that much. I've already told everyone in my office as soon as my husband called and told me - of course the car is in the bay and not able to stop them in mid-oil change. They will never get my business even though they are just up the street from me. I'll go to a legitimate, HONEST service place moving forward. I guess it was my husband's fault for not showing the coupon up front so he can walk out before we paid this unethical business. Our lesson learned. The "Manager" Jeff seemed clueless and when asked about the Mr. Tire logo on the invoice he said he didn't know what that was but he says he thinks it was Mr. Tire.
