My tire change was supposed to take 1.5 hours, but it took almost 5. Then, I was told, "You're brakes look horrible, you need to replace them soon. Want to do it now?" (For some ridiculous price like $190 or something). After being there for 5 hours already, I said no. I had a mechanic friend look at the brakes a few weeks later just in case and he said, "These have at least 15,000 more miles on them. There's no reason for new brakes, but I used to do that to customers too. Try to sell them more that they don't need." They got the job done but they tried to take advantage of me and I bet many others. Disappointed. read more

I have never spent more than 20 minutes in this building these guys are amazingly fast amazingly friendly they wouldn't even let me take my flat tire out of the car because they didn't want my hands dirty. Went for a SIMPLE task. Have the Snow Tires removed off rims and Summer Tires placed on rims. Balancing ANY Tires on a rim is standard procedure. Plus I'm PAYING for that service. It cost me $137 dollars and my car road like CRAP! Come to find out the Summer Tires placed on the rims were NEVER BALANCED and ALL 4 were greatly UNDER INFLATED by an Average of 10 PSI. NO 2 Tires were even inflated to the same PSI. They were between 29 & 33 PSI when they should have been between 44-51 PSI. This kinda service gets Causes Fatal Accidents. You been WARNED! read more

I will never recommend nor take a vehicle back to Mr.Tire. Within 3 days I took my personal vehicle 3 different times for an inspection which they failed twice due to a fuel leak. I replaced the line and checked for leaks which I couldn't find after replacing. I had for my NYS Inspection twice.My spouse took her vehicle in for front brakes. The mechanic told her more work was needed to her car. While she was having work done to her she over heard the manager trying to have an elderly lady get more routine work done then needed. read more

Got a flat tire while visiting the area on a Sunday afternoon. After a short wait for AAA to swap on our spare (shout out to Red's), Mr Tire was able to get us right in. They pulled the razor blade out of the tire and gave us the option to patch it. Since we have to drive 500 miles home, we opted to replace it. My 72 year old mother went to Mr. Tire in Geneva, NY on 9/24 because of a slow leak in one tire. She bought the set of tires here not too long ago so she came back. The tech identified the tire with the leak, removed the nail, and plugged the hole ($12). All good, except then he proceeded to charge her $16 to mount/dismount the wheel, rebalance the wheel ($12) and charge her for a TPMS kit ($12.99). These are BS charges, in my opinion, especially for a local customer who bought the set of tires from this shop! All said and done she was charged $57 for a service that was done for another reviewer for $20. I would not recommend this shop. read more

On the surface, my experience was not horrendous. The men working there were friendly and got my oil changed and tires rotated in a timely manner. However, I was brought out to the garage to look at a break pad that was supposedly worn to the metal. I told them that not only had my dad replaced both back breaks two weeks earlier, but that the back right caliper (the brake they were showing me) had been replaced as well as it had been frozen shut. The response that I got was a sideways glance at the other mechanic, and "well there may be something wrong with a break line. Why don't you take a picture, and call your dad and see if he can't fix. If not let us know and we will help you out." I may not know a whole lot about breaks, but I do know what it feels like when you have a leaking break line, and I know that comment makes less than zero sense! But, I called my dad and he drove to Canandaigua, from Buffalo, to check my breaks only to find that my back break was 100% fine and looked like it did when he had put it on two weeks earlier. It is very clear to me that the men at this location saw a young woman alone and thought they could lie and get me to let them fix whatever they said was wrong. I will never go back to a Mr. Tire again. read more

We woke up to a flat tire at our hotel and used our State Farm road side assistance to get it fixed. Red's came out to fix it and was a absolutely horrible experience. He put the spare on and we headed up to Mr. Tire. They had us fixed up and in and out in under an hour!!! Could not have been more accommodating. read more

I was visiting for the weekend and came out of my hotel to see a flat tire the night before we were to drive 500 miles back home! While I dealt with roadside assistance and getting the spare put on, my husband did some research on tire places in Geneva. Turns out there were three within a few blocks of my hotel. Mr. Tire is #1 on the CarTalk website! They were open the earliest of the places I looked into. And someone who works at my hotel said she recommended Mr. Tire as a place where they would not take advantage of someone in my position. I showed up first thing, dreading having to buy a new tire. Mr. Tire got me in quickly and said I didn't need a new tire (despite my announcement that I felt better getting one considering the long drive I had ahead of me). Instead the man at the counter said all I needed was a patch. I was in and out within an hour and it only cost $20! I was nervous on my drive, but the patch held! I would highly recommend Mr. Tire. Honest, reliable, friendly...They saved the day for me! read more
