Made an appointment to fix a slow leak on a tire. The guy tells me it's going to be 4 hours. I said 4 hours to fix a tire? He says well I'm not stopping my 5000 dollar job to fix a tire. You can come back or wait. I said neither. Got in my car and drove to the nearest pep boys literally within sight. Told them what I needed they said ok it will be an hour because you don't have an appointment. Reasonable. He berating me saying "You are here just a warning light, seriously?" He then refused to look at my vehicle. He said "He was alone and I have come back Monday." I said I am sorry you are alone. this is the 2nd time in two weeks I've tried to call and make an appointment for an oil change. I call their number make an appointment and they ask if I plan on staying with the car or leaving it. I tell the woman I'm staying with the car. I go to the the place the guy asks me if I plan on leaving the car and he goes I'm alone and probably won't be able to finish it til later that night. it is my opinion, based upon their treatment of my girlfriend, Sj,an attractive mature woman, that this Mr. Tire location uses predatory and scare tactics toward women. SJ went to get a cost estimate to budget the replacement of 4 tires in the near future. The manager told her that she should have the tires replaced that day because because they were dangerous to drive on. That she may not make it home if they weren't immediately replaced. Back in February, I scheduled an oil change online and arrived on time to my appointment. The shop manager - little older man who like to complain a lot about how he works too hard - told me he was too busy and I would have to wait until hours later in the day. It was a huge inconvenience but I was leaving the next day to travel to a funeral, so I had no choice but to rearrange the whole day. When I came back, I also presented a coupon that I printed from online. The same guy refused to accept it, saying it was for the wrong oil, and instead of telling me to grab the other one that was for the correct one, says "if you could read, you'd see." I pulled up the correct one on my phone and dude wouldn't take it. Whatever. Figured it was a one off since they've been pretty great prior. I scheduled an appointment yesterday at 10:37AM. They called me at 6:47 AM TODAY and said we changed your time. When I call back at an acceptable time, they refused to let me talk to the person who changed my time and refused to give me the name of the store manager. I noticed they don't treat their male customers like this. I don't know what the deal is here, but if you're a woman, they will treat you like you're less. I had a reservation I made online for 4 tires with a quoted price. When I got there, I was told that the online pricing for tires was for the entire company, not that location. "Those tires at that price might be in Los Angeles." So obviously call and do not rely on their online reservations. I was then told he could order the tires and have them in a few days. I was good with this. But after checking, the tires I ordered were "discontinued." Only ones they could get in that size were $30 more each and it would be a few days. I said I'd shop around. Our family has been going to this garage for over 40 years, since pervious owners, Mr Vergata. My daughter was told over the phone when getting prices, the charge for an oil change was $65.00 for her Kia, Sonoma. When she picked her car up, price changed to $126 or $128. I don't have the receipt in front of me. Not acceptable!! She's 9 months pregnant and would have went to a cheaper place, hence why she called around prior! $65 was the same about price as Jiffy Lube. They didn't have any openings so she went to Mr Tire. She was leaving for the poconos the following morning. Needed to be done asap. Anyway, she was told it cost so much cause she had synthetic oil and needed an extra quart. Why? With an oil change the oil is included, where did the one extra court come from? my husband works at AutoZone. The top of the top of synthetic oils for a complete oil change is, $45.00. That's not included the 20% off he would get as an employee. This was very disgusting what this place did. This garage is down the street from me and I am now letting family and friends know in town, the disgusting trick they pulled on our family. They doubled the price from the phone call to doing the work. Nobody called my daughter to tell her it would be more than $65. They never even called my daughter to let her know her car was done. My daughter had to call and say, hi is my car done? The manager tried to use the excuse that there were a bunch of phone numbers and on our receipt was clearly three phone numbers. One was our house number, still in use. One was my old phone number and the other was my daughter's actual phone number. Very disappointed that they did this dirty trick to us and will never go to this garage again. They just lost 11 people from our family and not counting the amount of friends, that used to go there on a regular basis however, not anymore. read more

I am a hard working female student athlete at Stockton University and unfortunately the other day my car had an emergency and I regretfully brought it to these assholes. They charged me almost 1k for something that could have costed a couple hundred dollars. Of course I could have been smarter but once again it was an emergency. They overcharge and rip you off! Replaced two break hoses and flushed breaks, charged $600. Didn't replace breaks but said I would need new ones within a month. I went to Mavis next day for new breaks and They said the hoses should have only cost $100. Never go to Mr. Tire! read more

Hello, Let me tell you about my experience at Mr. Tire, I had made an Appointment to have 2 tire Replaced. The issues started upon arrival when i found out the the Total amount I was quoted was not correct. It was explained to me by the manager Bill that the reason was due to a New employee who did not know how to access the program for a proper total! I was then Up-sold to buy 2-more tires for a set of 4 and get a $120 rebate from Goodyear by Mail! I had a feeling that this was a Terrible Idea but I did it anyway, to my disappointment the Rebate was submitted improperly by Mr. Tire!! The corporate offices at Goodyear asked for more documentation (of Course) and stated that the Rebate would be $40 instead of the $120 that was Promised to me!! More that 3 weeks now and several hours of Email and Phone Conversations I still have nothing to show for it! So Buyer Beware! at Mr. Tire you can expect a Constant Up-Sell and Don't ever do any type of Rebate by Mail! Friendly staff and good service. They're always willing to take time to explain in detail what is needed to get my car back on the road safely. I really like that I can make an appointment for little things like an oil change. Today I needed an oil change and a mysterious noise checked out. The kids and I sat and did schoolwork in the waiting area while the problem was identified. Upon learning it would take a couple hours to get parts and complete the necessary repair, we got lunch at a nearby restaurant and finished right around when the car was ready. The guy Bill quoted me a ridiculous price of $700 for the radiator replacement and then tried to charge me another $900 for new brake pads and calipers for the front. $1,600 total. Walt was the employee there taking care of me, making sure I was completely filled in and worked to find cheaper parts in cost to keep my price down. UPDATE: I have kindly contacted the women from customer service who has commented on my reviews. I have left her messages and she has yet to return any of the phone calls. I went for a simple oil change from Mr. Tire in Absecon. It took nearly two hours for them to complete the oil change but other then that I didn't have any complaints. They asked me if I wanted to purchase a new air filter and I politely declined. After the long wait they finally came out and said everything in the car was perfect and I was ready to go. Two days after the oil change the check engine light came on in my car. My car wasn't driving right and was bucking upon accelerating. I took the car back home to my home mechanic and they looked at the car and ran the diagnostic test. The mechanics at Mr.Tire had left the air intake hose off which led to $500 worth of damage to my car. Mr.Tire refused to do anything about it. I am very disappointed in the customer service and service at Mr.Tire. They do not stand by there customers. Save yourself the time and don't give these people your money. read more

I went to Mr. Tire to get a tire replaced after getting a flat. It was an emergency situation and I needed it done so I could get to work the next day and rest of the week. I went in and was quoted $185 for 1 brand new tire. I of course did it due to having no choice. While getting the service done, which took 3 hours, I was made aware I needed my 3 other tires to be replaced. I told them I would do it at a later date. A month later I wanted to get my other 3 replaced and went to pep boys instead. I got a whole new set of 4 for $375 compared to the one I got for $185 at Mr. tire. They rip you off and overcharge on their services. I recommend going to Pep boys instead right down the street. They did all 4 of my tires in an hour and a half. read more

A $20 oil change ended up being $30 and they don't change any filters HOWEVER they have a long list of "repairs" that need to be done "soon as possible" It's a shame everything is about a dollar.
