It took a little while to get my sweeper fixed, but they did and at a very reasonable cost.

We have used this company twice. Once for our front loading dryer, and recently, our refrigerator…read more Very affordable and knowledgeable. While making the recent appointment, the friendly lady told us a lot of information on problems with refrigerators. We learned more from her than the stores we shopped in. When they came to fix our refrigerator, they gave me the 101 on airflow, fixed the fridge and even looked at our standup freezer and gave me pointers to help it run more efficiently. Highly recommend CAP and will refer to my friends.

A couple days later and the problem still persisted. Asked him to come back and he added Freon while I watched. He told me that it was a closed system that he would have to splice into. I was kind of nervous about that because I thought the freon would leak possibly. He assured me that it was not a common issue. The fridge and freezer and icemaker started working the way they were supposed to, but after a couple months, I started to notice a warp in my floorboards. I wasn't even thinking about the refrigerator repair. Thought maybe some water had been spilled. Problem kept getting worse and finally I pulled the refrigerator from the wall and took the back plate off and saw that water was dripping condensation from the saddle valve that he put on. I sent him a picture of said saddle valve and he denied ever putting it on after I sat there and talked to him about it while he was doing it. He literally told me it was a closed system and the only way to add Freon was to splice into it.. No one else had ever worked on my fridge. This was all via text message. The next thing I know he is calling me. He wanted to know what the problem was, and I explained. He denied ever installing the saddle valve and told me that he would never put one on and that the condensation was from ordinary every day humidity. I've had this refrigerator and floor for 14 years without a problem. He asked me if there was a charge for a saddle valve on the invoice. He said that if he would have put one in it would've cost $16. (It is interesting how he knows exactly how much one costs when he never installs them.) He asked me what he wanted me to do. I said fix it. He told me I was lying and said screw you and hung up the phone. This guy is a hothead. Beware.

Horrible service. The manager, Chris Schulte, came over and diagnosed the problem with my dryer…read moreand told me I needed a new control board and it would cost $480. I agreed to the charge and Chris came back the next day to swap out the part. Chris was in a hurry and did the job quickly, and didn't connect the panel up correctly, and the timer was malfunctioning. This issue didn't start until Chris changed the control panel. I called Chris 5 minutes after he left and said it would be another service charge and I needed a new front panel membrane. I disagreed and he became belligerent and argumentative. After a few heated phone calls and accusations I was lying, Chris decided he was coming back and I decided there was no way I was letting this guy back in my house. I took the dryer apart and fixed the problem myself in 2 minutes. A professional, well-trained organization would have dealt with the problem respectfully and worked out a non-combative solution. They were expensive, shady (wanted cash), and overall jerks.

Called Campbell Hausfeld and was told to call Combee Electrics in Ontario, CA for the repairs. Combee Electrics then directed me to call another number and arrange for a rep to come do the repairs. What they didn't tell me was that I would not be able to get the repair covered under the warranty by referring me to someone else. Was charged $300 for a minor repair, and told to go to the manufacturer for reimbursement. Of course, Campbell Hausfeld refused to reimburse us as the technician was not a "valid service center" for the warranty. I'm assuming Combee Electric has done this many times before and probably takes a cut of the profits. While this isn't Campbell Hausfeld's fault directly, they are turning a blind eye to this type of treatment to their customers and refuse to help at all. A few times, their reps were downright hostile considering I'm one of their customers who just got conned while following their every instructions. A company like this obviously doesn't value their customers. I would not recommend any Speedaire products to anyone who expects to ever use their warranty.
