This restaurant is truly tremendous. From beginning to end i highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great place to eat. We visit Caguas a couple times a year, and every single time we visit Mr. Sandwich (and will continue to do so). The place is quite modern for the location and is a welcome change to the restaurant options in the area. One thing we really enjoy is the menu selection. There is something for every single person/taste and you will not be disappointed. Of course, the sandwiches are amazing as the name would imply. This place is also great for large groups (of course we travel in a gaggle when we visit). The food always comes out quickly and is very fresh. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone needing a great food option in the area. read more

1 hour wait chiken milanesa was terrible. Yellow chicken . Has tv for the 1 hour wait tho.

Place was packed for lunch, again freezing cold AC and it was a little loud. However wait service was friendly and overall the restaurant was clean. I ordered the Fidel Castro sandwich and it looks like I was served a Media Noche, well regardless it was not that good. The sweet potato fries thankfully were pretty good, the sandwich is made with cheap quality ham and pork deli meat. The cheese was cold and not fully melted. The biggest disappointment is that it took almost 40 minutes to make this sandwich. I heard this place has amazing brunch and will update review after I give that a whirl! read more

Very surprised at the interior of this restaurant. It's very modern, with plenty of seating. the menu was big and had a good amount of sandwiches to choose from. I had the Mr Argentina and mofongo. I try mofongo everywhere I go because I need my fix and am on the search for the best. This mofongo is definitely top 3 for me. They accept credit cards, have a kids menu, and the service was great. read more

My dad insisted we went to this place for my mofongo fix. I found it odd since the place looks and feel like one of those modern/industrial diners you see all over the US. At first glance the menu fits that mold, with sandwiches and burgers and even a brunch menu. However, they do have some traditional Puerto Rican dishes in their menu, and the mofongo I wanted. I ordered the mofongo and was not disappointed, flavorful and moist (something many mofongo places miss). The service was great too, prompt and polite. We came her for lunch. Service was pretty good but the food was served cold. The rice was ice cold so you could tell its not fresh. It was taken out of the fridge and served. The chicken empanada was pretty cold too. Disappointed. read more

This place is actually one of the worst restaurants I've ever been to. My family decided to go here because friends of us from the island recommended it but besides how bad and bland the food was what shocked me the most is the horrible costumer service. This is a very nice casual bistro. The food options are really good. The only negative is that the service is extremely slow! I've been waiting for 40minutes and still haven't received my order, I've only drank one mimosa and my waitress hasn't even asked if we'd like another round. I would recommend this place but come with a lot of time and not in a rush. read more

This gem of a place is located in the Bairoa section of Caguas. Recently expanded, it offers ample seating and has a great bar area with 3 HDTV's - very nice atmosphere. Friendly service, I ordered trifongo with shrimp which was absolutely delicious. When done, I went over and sat at the bar and the bartender immediately complied with my request to put on the NHL Playoff Game (Hockey in Puerto Rico :-) I stayed well beyond closing - just a great experience overall, this will be my spot when in town! read more

Food was tasty. Had a wide cayos options, hamburgers, Mexican section, typical Puerto Rican cuisine, seafood and one small option for kids. I got the cubano burger (pork patty) with a fried piece of ham and bacon. The sides I chose for the sorullitos (corn fritters)...love it with the ketchup-mayo sauce YUM! The calamari appetizer was very small (like 7-10 pieces) and we were a party of 6. Bottled water seems to be what is offered at most restaurants we have been to...no tap. read more

A regular for more than 10 years. If there was a place were we liked to eat as a family and feel welcome it was Mr Sandwich. I said "was" because they changed the style and move to a bigger and modern place. Still good food at affordable prices, but now is more like a Chili's, loud and busy, not the cozy and familiar local rest we love to go. Miss the old place. :( read more

Has a wide variety of sandwiches and food ranging from seafood to whatever cut of meat you want. I consider myself a "mofongo" conoisseur and this is the BEST mofongo I've tried in the whole island! Stuffed mofongo is a MUST! Average service, don't expect anything fancy but overall great food in generous proportions for a good price. I used to love their ham soup. Don't even try it. You are paying a lot of money for water with noodles. It is well decorated with nice music. Service is not the best and the food will take forever so don't go too hungry. The Mr. Special sandwich is good. Prices apart from the soup are fair. read more
