If you expect a lot of wear and tear, do not use this type of floor refinishing. I was disappointed with the wear of these floors. I hired Mr. Sandless to refinish my floors when I bought my house April of 2017, before I moved in. The home had gorgeous floors, just too light for me, and I wanted to try to be more environmentally friendly. Jeff and employees did my floors while I was at work, I checked the process each day, and they came to my work for payment, and I asked them to please email me an invoice (the guy accidently completed the sale with out invoice and said he'd have one emailed). Shortly after that, little did I know my newly rescued dog would fall deathly ill, and I would have to come home and clean everything with part bleach and water, including all the bottoms of my shoes. The stain of the floor came up, and later when my dog was better, I called Mr. Sandless to inform them of this. It took months to get a response, and when I did hear from the owner, he blamed me for not looking at their website for the care of the floors. I was hugely upset with costumer service as I was never iformed about the care given any instruction, or even referred to the website. Finally, after a last attempt and a near break down, the owner agreed to send workers out to rectify the situation. I was referred to Jeff again, and we tried to schedule a few attempts, but it failed on my part as it was hard to say when I'd be able to pack up the house, empty it, and be out with the dogs for a day or two. Jeff was super flexible, and the floors were finally were fixed November 2018 when I was away for Thanksgiving. I asked of they could use a more heavy duty coating because I was fearful of the wear and tear again. Jeff assured me they'd go over the floors with a few extra coats. For the most part, the floors looked good, but I noticed some areas were already/still faded white spots. I called Jeff and left a message and sent pictures (a month or two later) as I hadn't even moved furniture into the spare room yet or moved the couches in the living room. I was wondering if these spots were just missed as far as the clear coating. As of today, I still haven't heard from them, so I give up. From now on, I will always use the traditional method as I already know it lasts a lot longer than this method, and is more durable. I am very grateful that Mr. Sandless worked with me to rectify the situation the first time, but I paid way too much for these floors not to last even the few years I've been in this house so far. Here I am, finally moving furniture and bookshelves back into the spare room, and the floors still have white foggy, faded areas, so disappointing. read more
