My partner and I purchased a large amount of flooring from LL Flooring at the end of September of 2021 to replace the flooring in our home. The order was over $7,000 and was based on measurements that one of LL's representatives did. The order was for a large amount of the copper barrel oak colored luxury vinyl plank. We used a different contractor for the installation, which took nearly a month to complete and he did not start immediately after we purchased the materials from LL Flooring. When our contractor started, he told us that we had far more materials than we needed and that the person who provided measurements must have measured incorrectly. This resulted in over unused 20 boxes of flooring and materials purchased for approximately $1,100. My partner contacted LL flooring about the surplus of material and was told that we would be able to return any flooring that was unused and made no mention about a return policy. We tried to return the 20 boxes of flooring in January and was told, for the very first time, that there was a 90 day return policy and that the most they could do was give us store credit. We were approximately one week beyond the 90 day return policy. When we got home, we checked our receipt and there was no mention of a 90 day return policy. I tried to contact LL Flooring via email to better explain our situation and was told that while LL Flooring COULD authorize a return after the 90 day policy, the most they would do for us is give us store credit. We were also told by a representative that the flooring itself was "basically bullet proof," and were then advised by our installation contractor that we should be careful moving any furniture on the new floors because of how easily they scratched. We conclude our experience with LL Flooring feeling very taken advantage of and lied to. We recommend you look elsewhere for flooring needs. read more

Worst flooring experience of my life. First the staff at the store did not unload the flooring from the 18-wheeler correctly, thus damaging some of the boxes. When we brought it to their attention, they just played dumb as if they had no idea the damage was there. Then, we install the floors and within just 3 weeks, they are COVERED IN SCRATCHES. What irks us the most about this is the representative at the store took a hammer to the flooring to show us how durable it would be, which is why we decided to purchase the flooring, since we wanted to AVOID SCRATCHES from occurring from our dogs. And, we were assured by the store that the scratches wouldn't appear. Well, flash forward 3 weeks after install and magically the floor is covered in scratches. So, I dig up the sales info, find the warranty sheet, give them a call and start the claim process. Well, it's been 3 days, 10 emails and a phone call, yet no one can even get back to me to let me know they received the emails FROM THREE DAYS AGO. Then, I call in, and am met with, "oh I'm working through my emails now" - really you don't get to emails for 3 days ANNA H.? 3 days it takes you to get to an email? THAT'S HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND BUYING FLOORS HERE. EVER!!!!!!!!!! WE HAD CHEAP LAMINATE FLOORING IN OUR OLD HOUSE FROM HOME DEPOT FOR MORE THAN 2 YEARS AND IT NEVER GOT SCRATCHED THIS BAD! EVER! AND IT WAS LESS THAN HALF THE COST OF THESE EXPENSIVE" TOUGH" FLOORS. read more

Here's a change: We had a very nice experience at our Grand Junction LL. The sales people were young, but knowledgeable. And helpful. Once we settled on the floor we wanted, the order went smoothly. They told us a week to 10 days, it was right on, and they helped us load up the truck. If your looking for flooring it is a great place to get the best prices. as long as the supplies you need are in stock . I had purchased their corelux XD brand. it looks amazing and has held up against my animals so far. I had also purchased installation services through them. This is where my 3 star rating comes into play. I should have shopped around first because I found someone who could do my entire house for the same price and even less than the original plan of 4 small rooms. That doesn't fall on them but when I had canceled the installation services they failed to contact the install company and so I had to face the embarrassment of telling the flooring install company that had showed up on my front step a MONTH later after canceling that LL flooring should have contacted them and informed them that we had canceled. One of the workers had mentioned they had came from Colbran (hour plus drive). That is such a let down to make someone drive out that far for a job that was canceled a month in advance. LL flooring really need to step their game up in communication with their contracted workers so their customers don't have to do their job for them. It was so embarrassing after the man had told me they drove out here from Colbran. read more

Now for ,umber liquidators sales folks and the grand junction team is a whole other story, It seemed they were not very interested in keeping customers. They never had any ideal who was doing what and when they were doing it. Was very frustrating .we could never get a solid answer and the sales staff just seem like they cared. they got my money and after that we had to call and follow up or pursue other options just really sucked. Our experience with Lumber Liquidators has been excellent. Very helpful staff and great engineered wood products.

Bought some flooring and ordered transition pieces. Was told the transition pieces would be "a couple of days" and I suppose having done a ton of amazon shopping and being used to smooth online transactions, when someone says a "couple of days" I think two. About 10 days after I placed the order, I received the flooring transitions minus one. I called to ask what was going on and they said the order was delayed, but had now been shipped and it would be there in 1-2 days. I called 7 days later and asked what was going on again. This time they said the order never shipped, but NOW it had shipped and their system showed it would be there the next day. After another 5 days I called again. This time I got the manager, Gene. I told him what had happened. He was very professional and after researching it a bit, he realized my order never shipped and that it was severely backordered from the warehouse and wouldn't be shipping any time soon. At this point I already had the flooring installed and so I asked him what could be done. He worked with me to get a flooring piece shipped from another store and he emailed me a tracking # The order never shipped. Instead, 4 days after I got the tracking #, the status was updated to "item damaged" and Fed Ex returned the item to the other store. I call again. Gene is surprised and apologetic. He ships me a new piece with a new tracking #. The item came in 2 days ago and the flooring guys show up to install it. Stupid me didn't open it before they got there. It's damaged. The packaging is not damaged at all and there's no splintered pieces of flooring inside the tube it came in so logically I am not inclined to blame the Fed Ex shipping process. They were able to file out the damaged piece and get the transition to fit into the track. I want to say first I'm very grateful to Gene and his professionalism in getting this issue resolved. I am also thankful that he did not hassle me at all about returning one unused piece past the 30 day return policy deadline as he understands that getting my order fulfilled was an uphill battle. I think there are several things LL could do better in the future to avoid customer disappointments. 1 - Train employees to understand the shipping times. I had to reschedule with my floor installation guys because the first employee misquoted the shipping time. Don't say a couple of days when it's really 5-7 business days. 2 - The system should show you what's in stock in the warehouse. Employees should actually look at this to see if stock is running low and prepare their customers for the possibility that they might end up in a backlog queue so they can make informed decisions. 3 - Employees should not make stories up when they don't know what they're talking about. A well placed "I'm sorry, but I don't know what's going on with your order and I don't want to tell you the wrong thing. Can I research this and get back to you later today when I understand exactly what's going on with your order?" is much better than "it'll be there any day mam!" In the end I am happy to have gotten my order, but it was not a hassle free experience you expect from a company that specializes in flooring and when the topic of flooring comes up with my homeowner friends, I will tell them to ask for Gene or forget about it. read more

After writing my review of the bad experience i had in trying to return excess product, i was contacted by a Customer care representative at The Lumber Liquidators Corporate office. She contacted me yesterday and again today, after missing her original call. Sandra, listened to my complaint and went the extra mile to help resolve it. I was so happy to find out that their management and owners do actually care about retaining their customers and following up on bad experiences. Sandra was able to make this situation right. Goes to show that one person, regardless of position, does not represent a whole company. Thank-you Sandra & Lumber Liquidators for showing me you are not just out to sell your product, but care about the whole customer experience. This company has the worst customer service I have ever experienced! They did not order enough product to complete my job, then blamed it on the installer who is no longer at the company. They did not tell me they had not done an upstairs bathroom in my house on a long distance installation, just said the project was done. I discovered one room was not done when another Workman sent me photos of his completed project. They first told me it would be handled, two weeks went by and nothing was done, then they told me I would be charged up to $200 shipping to get enough product to complete a small bathroom. One month later they told me they could sell me a similar product to complete the job. Then new installer said it's not on the work order so he's not doing it! Another month of continuous phone calls where I was assured it would be done but it was not! Finally 2 1/2 months later the flooring was laid but the toilet was left sitting in the bathtub and all their trash was left on the patio! Purchase your flooring somewhere else!!!!! read more
