Ripped off big time! I had a small stain in my bathroom ceiling. I figured it was a leak. When the guy came out to give me a quote, he said, when my crew comes out, they will examine your entire roof all around your solar lights, your exhaust fan they will clean your They will make sure no nails are loose and all shingles are firmly attached and roof leak one man came 59 minutes here. I heard no nailing on the roof except for where did not clean the out despite all that I was charged $950 for that I'm 8 but I'm not so old. I don't know when I've gotten ripped off. Zero accountability for the workmanship of their contractors. I had them out less than 1 year ago where they told me I had to have a water test to identify the issue which I ultimately paid to get done. I was the charged $1,000 for the repairs and here we are less than a year later and they want to send a crew to have me pay for another water test and then charge to fix something that was already paid to be fixed... Sleezy salesman refused to email me our quote and tried to charge me over $2000 for work we got done for less than $500.

After some damage to our siding from a recent storm, we decided to replace all of our siding. We obtained several bids, and Mr. Roof had good reviews, used quality materials, gave a competitive bid and could start within several weeks. Project was scheduled. We were then contacted; project was pushed back "due to weather", and in all fairness we had had a lot of rain. Project rescheduled. Contacted again to push back project. Contact person confided that they had counted on an additional crew, that did not materialize. So, I took this to mean that too many jobs got booked. Rescheduled for the third time. Finally started 2 months late. Day 1: started at 11:30 AM. Day 2: started at 09:50AM, day 3: 10:35AM and day 4: 10:00AM. Originally told that it would take three days, but now, longer. Most projects we have done have 0800 starts. Now for the bad part. Came home from dinner to find multiple nails through the bedroom wall, that they were working on as we left for dinner. I spoke with project manager Kevin and his manager, Justin and I asked "just to be clear, nails through the walls are acceptable?" and both stated that per the contract, that is acceptable damage that they are not responsible for. They did offer to patch with drywall mud. Buyer beware. I will check with company policy, but workers smoked (on the job, not just on breaks) frequently. Poor cleanup on some days, with nails and cigarette butts on our back patio: yard was supposed to be cleaned daily. Gate to backyard was left open first 2 days, until we had to remind them to close it. We have a dog and we found this a real issue. Just had house painted and lots of dirty smudges on trim. Also, there was no consideration for our landscaping. Scrap thrown over plants and one Japanese maple was destroyed. Silicone caulk on multiple places on patio that required professional cleaning. I understand weather delays. Simple courtesy issues, and cleanup as promised, should not have to be addressed by the customer. In short, I would never use again! Photos enclosed. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. Roof started leaking about a year ago while still under warranty. Called Mr. Roof and they sent some guys out a couple of days later. Looked around and said they couldn't find anything. Called again the next heavy rain, same thing, except this time they blamed it on the windows and the siding. The third time it happened, the company refused to come out. Here's the best part - the ONLY thing that has changed on the exterior of our house is the roof. **added note I didn't realize I never added: We had another company (EMH Roofing) come out to give their estimate of what they thought needed done. I asked if he'd let me come up and show me what he saw. He welcomed me up, pointed out differences in caulking that showed they might have caulked around the skylight in question, and explained the logistics around why it could've even made the problem worse! He also pointed out a few other problems that indicated a somewhat imminent need for more complete repairs/replacement. Right before we got down he put slight pressure on the area between the skylight and gutter over the problem room, and it was visibly soft!!! Why that would not have been noted in some way in the original inspection, I can't begin to fathom, other than Mr Roof's laziness and/or intent of fleecing us!! read more

I called Mr. Roof to get an estimate for repair/replace siding that came loose. They gave me an estimate of $950. I called another roofing company, they gave me an estimate of $225. I went with the other company and the work took about 30 min. I was very disappointed in Mr. Roof's pricing. This review was originally posted in summer of 2019. We were told that it was their policy not to honor warranties of those who post negative reviews. What kind of policy is that? They came out. Fixed our roof again. Promised us a partial refund and gift cards (to keep quiet?). We never saw either of these things. Mr. Roof-do not contact me to remove this review. It is an honest review of your poor quality customer service. You can not make threats to your customers and not honor warranties. -- We contacted Mr. Roof regarding a roof leak in April 2019. We explained multiple times that our house is 3 stories high and to plan to bring an appropriate ladder. My husband took the day off work (which is very challenging for him), and they did not bring a tall enough ladder. They had to come back--finally inspected our roof, provided an estimate, and we made an initial deposit payment. We were told that Mr. Roof would contact us to schedule service... we weren't in a huge hurry (slow leak), but started to worry when over a month went by and we were never contacted. My husband called, and they had no record of our service. After further investigation, the employee did not bother to keep his portion of the carbon copy of the agreement. During this entire process, my husband has repeatedly (at least 10 times) told different Mr. Roof employees to call his cell phone and to remove my cell phone from the contact list. Despite his request, I have been repeatedly called at work while my husband waits at home for updates (many rain delays).  Finally, our roof was scheduled to be fixed in late June. The workers did not tell my husband when they arrived, nor when they left despite being told to do so (they had to trespass on my neighbors property and climb on their roof to get to our roof), so my husband waited at home assuming they were still working. Despite this rude behavior, the service was provided (full VFI coating for $3726). Everything has been seemingly okay until a recent hard rain, and the same leak reappeared.  Today my husband called to discuss the continued leak. Of course, instead of calling him back the project manager called my cell phone. I angrily told him that once again, he was calling the wrong phone number. This project manager had the nerve to say that he "didn't appreciate that". Well I don't appreciate subpar customer service and shoddy work. Worst roofing company ever. The damage from the roof they incorrectly installed is now over 100k. They used gutters for foot rests, did not install kickout flashing, incorrectly installed flashing around 2 chimneys... then acted like the raining into the house was our fault. Now there is nearly every kind of mold growing and everything needs to be thrown away. We were just about ready to list the house but it took over 2 years pre pandemic to get them to address the issue correctly. They didn't. Now, 2 years after pandemic where nobody could be hired and they would not pay for the mold remediation they were responsible for, I can't give it away. What was 60k is now, I was told yesterday 325k. Which is more than half of the original value. Never do business with them even 8f your neighbor of 30 years promises they'll do good work. Chubb won't even guarantee their work. Their BBB profile is horrible. I can't give this house away. DON'T HIRE THIS COMPANY unless you want to sue them. read more

had my roof replaced by MrRoof around 7years ago told me my 30 year old roof deck needed replaced so we went ahead and done it mind you it was a 10 thousand added to our 20 thousand dollar re shingle job but it had to be done had some leaking going on. now 7 years later we had some shingles blow off from the wind so filled claim with insurance and called Mr Roof to do the work got an estimate and a few days before it was going to get started there project manager at the time informed me he was going to do it on the side through his new roofing company he stated that he wouldn't use Mr Roof because they would be way higher than the ins company approved to pay so hired a different company because sounded a little weird and I wanted a warranty. the new company removed shingles and discovered the sheathing wasn't installed properly they didn't follow code and use h clips so caused decking to buckle and warp so bad they couldn't shingle back over it without having issues contacted Mr Roof thinking they would make it right oh how wrong I was all I wanted them to do was cover the 3k I spent sense the crew they subcontracted didn't go by building code and cut corners so they could hurry to the next job sad because I have used them for windows,Roof and gutters and refered 2 people in our neighborhood who also used them for roof replacement I pray they didn't cut corners on any of my other projects or the others peoples. so if you want work done quickly and not by code or a taillight warranty call Mr roof. read more

Mr. Roof broke our contract but then tried to wiggle around and just say my account was overdue and could go to collections. ( There would be a 30% late fee added too) We went with Mr. Roof because they offered financing. Beware that you will pay 3x the cost with that financing. They were also the most expensive. Their Mason was so unprofessional and I never spoke to the same person twice about my concerns. Mr. Roof did not care how the work got done, as long as it was what they considered, "complete." Even if they stressed me out, there was No communication with the office and some of the work had to be re-done because the Mason bold-faced lied to me. To them, coming in and doing it again, correctly excused the wrong doing in the first place. Never mind that everytime they got on my roof, they were creating wear on the shingles, etc. Everything about this was wrong. I recommend a different company. I absolutely do Not recommend Mr. Roof. tl;dr - Mr. Roof will abandon you as a customer, do poor work, not honor any credit you might receive for damage, and threaten you with collections, even if you pay. Overall, terrible follow up, and worse customer service. Update: Office Manager contacted me to resolve all outstanding issues. Wishing I dealt with her weeks ago... Full review: The gutter installers were mostly fine, but they did damage my property, and they had to rehang a section of gutter due to poor pitch. Decent guys, but not good work. The real problems with Mr. Roof are in the office. I will never do business with this company again. Due to the damage the installers caused, the project manager (PM) agreed to a $50 credit on my invoice. The credit was not issued, and Mr. Roof started threatening to place a lien on my property and send my account to collection - despite that they did not honor the credit, and did not invoice for the agreed upon amount. How is a customer supposed to pay if the amount Mr. Roof is invoicing for is not correct? Here's a timeline of the events on my account: 06/12/2020 Pre sales consultation, and 50% down payment. 2-3 weeks promised. 07/06/2020 I contact Cincinnati office to try and schedule the work, call back is promised 07/13/2020 I contact Cincinnati office again trying to schedule the job, again a call back is promised 07/14/2020 Mr Roof contacts me, and schedules the gutters to be installed on 07/22/2020. 07/22/2020 Gutters installed, my property is damaged 07/23/2020 Moderate rain, I've lived in Cincinnati all my life, and this is a normal summer rain (video included below). But the gutters are overflowing! They're one day old, how is this even possible? Well, the gutters were installed with no, and in some places, negative pitch, so they weren't draining toward the downspout. In one area, the fascia was pulled away from the roof. So I took video of the failing gutters, and my damaged property. 07/24/2020 @ 13:00 Project Manager visits the property, reviews, and agrees a portion of the gutters need to be rehung, and a damaged light fixture credited. Agrees to rework and $50 invoice credit. 07/24/2020 @ 13:23 I sent via iMessage photos and video of the damage to my property (a broken light fixture and LED flood lights) and rework (poor pitch, causing flooding and fascia damage) to PM. 07/24/2020 @14:15 I was emailed an invoice that did not reflect the $50 credit. Amount invoiced was $724.05. Project Consultant was copied. I did not reply, nor remit payment at this time due to incorrect invoice. 07/30/2020 The same installers visit again, and rehang the gutters, refasten the fascia. I replace the light fixture and LED lamps out of my pocket. NO CONTACT FOR MONTHS - no emails, no letters, no phone calls, no texts, nothing until: 09/28/2020 Final demand letter is received by postal mail - STILL for the incorrect amount of $724.05 09/29/2020 @ 08:41 I call into Mr. Roof Cincinnati Office and ask to speak to Office Manager, regarding the demand letter. I can't remember who I did speak to, it may have been a CSR -- I asked her to speak with PM and verify the $50 credit had been submitted. 09/29/2020 @ 08:51 I text PM and asked him to verify the same 09/29/2020 @ 08:55 I call into the Cincinnati office again to verify the conversation between PM and CSR had taken place, that my account was not being forwarded to collections, no lien was being placed on my property, and that an invoice for the correct amount was indeed being forwarded to me. I ask for a confirmation email after the call for my records. I get very positive feedback to that end - I'm going to get this invoice in a few minutes, I'm going to pay it, and we'll be done with this whole thing. Only I don't get an invoice for the correct amount - I don't get any invoice, I get no communication at all until: 10/06/2020 @ 17:32 Corporate office emails threatening to send my account to collections - but at least I finally have an invoice that shows the credit was applied. read more

Ryan came out to our house on 4/23 and gave us our quotes. He told us that someone would be in contact with the next 2 weeks. After receiving no call, email or anything...I called the company on 5/15. I was told someone in the production department would call me back on 5/18. Nobody called me. I called again around 7pm on 5/19 and talked to Brenda in customer services. She told me that she would have the production department call me back the morning of 5/20, and that she would follow-up with me at noon to make sure I was taken care of....nobody called me. Had Mr. Roof come out to investigate a leak in my roof. Their unprofessional crew came out and told me that the rubber lining on my box gutters were worn away. Fair enough. They told me the sales person would be in contact soon. I waited a week before I called them to get my quote, customer service rep transferred me to the salesman who ignored my call and never got back to me. They sent me a survey eventually that I gave them a poor score on because I was never given a quote as was ignored. The day after that I receive a text message saying that my pipe boot was the issue and they wanted $1k to come out to replace it even though the crew that inspected it told me it was the gutter. First, fixing a pipe boot for $1k is completely insane. Second, the pipe boot is BRAND NEW already! They tried to overcharge me for a service that wouldn't have fixed my problem because I gave them a bad score on their INTERNAL survey. Horrible company full of lying salesmen. Fast installation and looks great. I was very happy with the price. So far they have handled heavy rain with no complaints.

The process started off really well. We figured we would go with an established company that has been in business for years and has a knack for what they do. The sales team was really nice and knew what they were talking about. I relayed the information that our roof was old and may need some extra TLC, especially the wood deck underneath. There were some sagging spots and newer boards would take care of this. They quoted 4 boards but I said that if it seems like the entire thing needs boards, replace it all. We also got a cheaper quote from a local company but I was banking on experience of a larger one. The install came and went, it was February and all looked ok for now. Soon the warmer days of spring came and the shingles finally started to settle/relax. I remember looking up at that spot that was sunken in toward the apex of the roof and with disbelief seeing he same sunken spot. Obviously no boards were replaced. I called and again customer service was friendly and accommodating. Someone came out and then I got a call back. This guy had the nerve to give me some cockamamie BS story about how he thought our house of 40 years had shifted. Instead of taking responsibility for his crews work he was full of excuses. I had to call the corporate office back. The sent someone out to take a look. I got on the roof with this guy and we went over the few areas that were still sunken in. Also the cricket they installed needed new shingles already and an area by the chimney that was bad was sill bad. So dissatisfied with the craftsmanship of this job. Well they came out fixed the major areas and were done. So I thought. Got a leak in the drywall ceiling. Had them come out and take a look. They siliconed the heck out of a few areas. Especially around the chimney. I know some is needed but if the flashing would have been correctly installed in the first place I don't think they would have had to use tubes on it. Been a couple years since the install and you see a ton of imperfections. Also I should have had them rip the entire roof off and replace every deck panel. Then you wouldn't see the sag between the trusses. You know for this kind of money you think things would be done right. We had our roof replaced 5 years ago, and have had NOTHING but PROBLEMS!. It started leaking less than on month after it was installed, we have had one of your repairmen out 4 different times. Once they get one leak fixed, another one pops up! Now we have another leak in our living room, dangerously close to our flat screen and an outlet. We are having to put down towels to soak up the water. This is not a new leak, but a recurring one that your people supposed to have taken care of the first and second times they were out. Kevin was the last person that you sent out and he told us we needed a new chimney!! We have had 2 other roofing companies out just to look at it, (they did no work) and when we told them what your company employee said they BOTH LAUGHED and shook their heads! We were told it's the flashings that your company installed, NOT the chimney! I have had enough. If someone higher up than one of your lying, deceitful salesmen doesn't call us ASAP I will be making 4 calls. The first to the BBB, the second to a friend that is a news anchor at Local 12, (the news media love these kinds of stories) the third will be to my friend Barb who works in the Attorney General's office, then fourth to our attorney! Mr. Roof is the worst roofing company. They had construction debri blowing all over the neighborhood with no concern for other property owners near the house they were roofing. When complaints were made to the company they stated that we need to calm down about the blowing debri because they can't help it because the wind was 40 mph that (tues) day!!!!! Hey Mr. Roof what are your workers doing up on a three story house in those high winds!!! The garbage was never picked up. They started on Tuesday and by Friday afternoon nothing was picked up. We and four other neighbors had to pick it up ourselves...some is still up in trees down the street. These unprofessional employees need to learn what it means to be in business with the public. About a year ago we had Mr. Roof do work on our roof which involved sealing our chimney that had some cracks causing some water leaks to happen.. The experience working with them at that time was painful and a big hassle.. multiple delays, workers ( probably sub-contracted) who seemed to be disorganize and bad mouthed the company after they showed up to do the work with no supplies which was a huge waste of time..Finally their "work" was finished .... Fast forward to a few weeks ago and we started having water come in through our attic access.. Not happy with the experience we had last year with Mr. Roof, I called another local company who came out. Immediately he saw that the water coming through the attic access was from the chimney that they supposedly sealed - but did so incorrectly. I would NOT recommend Mr. Roof to anyone.. sure I could call them and maybe they'd come out and "fix" the shoddy work they had done, but I am choosing to pay another company that I am confident will do the work correctly and deserve the business read more

I had such a mixed business dealing with Mr. Roof. The end result was satisfactory but the process was horrible! They took twice as long to finish the job (they didn't send enough workers), they damaged property ( I repaired the painting myself and they did help reimburse me for the damaged patio door. I was out an additional $2500), and there were safety concerns (they left 100's of nails in my lawn). I had two flat tires on my car ( that could be an amazing coincidence) but the big roofing nail with a green disk (just like the other roofing nails I found in the grass after they left) sticking out of my riding lawn mower tire was definitely Mr. Roof's fault. I commend the hard-working men and women who were at my home. They worked until it was too dark to see. I used Mr. Roof to have my new roof installed in 2010. We have had a good deal of raid the past few weeks and now my roof is leading down into my living room. I called Mr. Roof very upset at the emergency I was having due to a leak. I was then told that my file could not be located but that I would be called back. I got my call back today and I was informed that my warranty was only good for five years. I asked if the do roof repairs that I must have my roof repaired. I was then transferred to someone who had no empathy for my emergency, and again I was informed that my warranty had expired. Attitude means everything to someone in need. And when you are calling for help respect and consideration should be given. It was not after a few minutes of disrespect and attitude I said never mind and hung up the phone. Please don't make the same mistake I made! If you need a new roof choose a company that has a customer support, and a warranty worth having, and hope to get repairs if needed. I have had so much trouble with this company. My brother who is a senior citizen had a tree hit his house back in May 2017. We had some roof damage which was minor compared to the 2 runs of guttering and one downspout that had been pulled off the house. House is on cistern water and so it was crucial that it be fixed ASAP. I communicated that to the estimator. He was supposed to pass that information along to Mr. Roof. He did, however, manage to take the time to get a down payment from us. After they got our money, we waited 8 weeks for someone, anyone, from the company to contact us about the repair. I spent two weeks calling and messaging the guttering department at Mr. Roof to no avail. Calls not returned when promised and the run-around given big time. At last, the gutter installer contacted me by phone. Showed up Aug. 30 to fix guttering. He was astounded that the roof had not yet been fixed. My experience with Mr. Roof has been a frustrating nightmare of non-communication. So much for customer service. I understand that this company is under new management. Mr. Roof installed my roof, gutters, siding and soffits in April 2006. My siding is coming off, the gutters are coming off and the soffits are falling down. This was a costly investment for me. I can not afford to pay good money for shoddy workmanship. A job this large should last longer than 7 years. I understood that gutters, roofing, siding, and soffit installation should last longer than this. Of course Mr. Roof refuses to offer assistance. I now have another costly repair to fix Mr. Roof's shoddy workmanship. I will never use Mr. Roof again and want to warn others not to use them as well. read more
