I initially called to have my kitchen sink cleared of a stoppage. They bring in a snake and proceed to snake from under the sink. It took them a while and ultimately, they were unable to get it cleared. Ok, sometimes at the end of the day we don't have on our thinking caps and we are not as quick witted as we could be. Why do people ask stupid questions like why do I need your Master Plumber's License? Only people on Staten Island would be stupid enough to get angry at a customer for asking such a thing. Nothing nefarious about that question when you want to confirm you are doing business with a LICENSED AND INSURED company. GTFOH. Making him look bad in front of the boss? CTFU. Boss should know smart people hire companies that their bona fides in order. Rates seemed fair. They took all the stuff they bought in back out and left the little mess they made (no problem) I'll leave it to clean up after I get the sink fixed. Would you go to a doctor and not know if he is licensed to practice medicine? Want just anyone working on your electric? I don't. The rest of Staten Island can do what they want. I was not charged, though by the time I went up to get checkbook to come back down to see how much I should give them for trying (not what they quoted me), they were already gone.

So unfortunately my home sewer is being shared by 5 others homes which then connects to the main city sewer. So every few years we have to clean the sewer pipe of any backup that it may cause. Basically maintain it before things go south. So what they than do is they come an jet the pipes with strong pressure water hose an after they attach their camera to make sure it's flowing smooth an there's not cracks etc going on down their. Over all about 2-3 hours of work. Which "we" meaning my jerk cheap neighbors only wants to do it in the winter freezing cold when there tends to show signs of backup or flushing issues. I rather do it 2x a year to maintain it regularly. Hey every isn't like me to avoid a problem Roto rooter has been a life saver for my block for quite some time now. He also told my wife that the tile needed to be broken to fix a leaky faucet in the shower, which all you need to change that cartridge is to use an extended socket, not break the tile... She asked the shoe maker if he could come back when I got home because I told her it was an easy fix. He told her yes, that she just had to call and they would send someone to finish the job. When I got back from my business trip, my wife called the office to have a plumber return to finish the job. My wife requested a different plumber be sent, because if I'm not a plumber and that guy was unable to fix something that I've fixed several times, he's definitely incompetent. So she asked for another one of their plumbers to be sent. One that has previously done work at my house. The person on the phone who refused to give their name told my wife, "This isn't McDonald's. You don't get to have it your way". That comment along with several other sarcastic & unprofessional comments were all in text, because they refused to speak to my wife directly on the phone. After the person refused to identify themself after my wife asked them several times who she was speaking to, they told my wife their name was John. Which was most likely a lie. The person told my wife "not sure how having a name makes a difference in conversation"... I was shocked at not only by the incompetence of the technician that was sent to my house to do a simple repair, but by the rudeness and unprofessionalism of the person representing the company that spoke to my wife on the phone. When I read the texts I said, what an asshole this person is. If I had anyone like that representing my company, I would immediately fire them! My wife asked several times to speak to the person directly on the phone, because there can be misinterpretation in text, and the person refused, even when my wife called, nobody would answer. This company has highly incompetent technicians working for them, and their staff is highly unprofessional. It's appropriate that they are in the sewer business because that's where their staff comes from! Bottom Line! Incompetent technicians! Unprofessional staff! The owner is a nice guy who previously did work at my house, but whoever they sent while I was away was a total amateur, and whoever he has working in his office and dealing with his clients is a low life scumbag who I'd love to tell that to their face... Imagine, that person would not speak on the phone and would only communicate by text. The good thing is my wife has it all in writing. What ignorant moron with a bad attitude would communicate in writing? Terrible Service! Unprofessional Staff! Incompetent Technicians!
