He gave us a very fair quote, went the extra mile for us when situations dictated, and finished the job in very quick time while doing a high quality job. He gave us good advice regarding what was worthwhile to paint (and what wasn't) and color choices. His crew was professional and effective, doing a wonderful job and leaving the place spotless at the end of it. The place looked so good we got 5 offers in less than a week! My wife and I decided to have our house painted this summer. When we started, the old paint peeling…read moreand flaking off the old wooden shingle siding, and the trim paint was cracked and rough looking. We initially decided to go with another outfit (who will remain namless...) who ended up cancelling on us the day before they were scheduled to start the work. With the difficulty of finding contractors after the pandemic, we thought we were in real trouble. Then we found Mendez painters and we were saved! Within a day of calling, Florentino came out to inspect the site and emailed us a quote which was shockingly affordable and included all of the details we wanted to see. So, we put down a deposit and they fit us into their (very busy) summer schedule. Florentino and his crew did amazing work on what turned out to be a huge job. They scraped all of the old flaking paint off, getting down to bare wood in many parts. After power washing, they followed up by using a (very high quality) oil-based primer over the entire house which they then sanded smooth and filled in all of the holes/cracks in our siding. Due to the rain, it took a little longer than expected to get the work done, but they made up for lost time by bringing a HUGE, highly experienced crew. They used Sherwin Williams Duration paint on both the siding as well as the trim. Florentino and his crew really went the extra mile, even filling in some large holes in our siding and re-attaching some worn trim at no extra charge. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to repaint their home.

There were holes in the cedar siding from rusted nails, and each of them (and there were many) was filled perfectly. Amazing! The painters and carpenters are meticulous, and I mean METICULOUS.! They are, bar none, the best painters available! I cannot recommend them highly enough. My house looks beautiful! The owner, Florentin, is honest and works diligently, and was quick to answer all of my calls. This was important to me.+ Thank you, Florentin, and all your painters and carpenters! Even though their pricing was at the high end of the estimates we received, i chose them because…read moreof: their great reviews here and elsewhere; affiliation with WBUR public radio and Historic New England; their estimate was extremely detailed; and they work on a lot of old houses. I expected their attention to detail and customer service to be just as detailed as their estimate but they fell far short of meeting our expectations. If it weren't for me directing the painters each day, we would've had a number of areas that were either not painted at all, not properly prepped, or painted the wrong color. I gave one star because their painters did an acceptable job...but only because I had to manage them by myself. They needed direction, which the project manager Pete did not provide. And when he was here he never gave me a heads up; if I happened to notice Pete was here he would disappear before I could get outside to look at things with him. At the end of the job, even on the last day, he did not meet with us when punch list items should have been reviewed. They also refused to do the last bit of work we planned on. It was estimated separately because they were still discussing with us which floor sealer to use and another contractor had to install the gutters first before they came back to paint them. Pete, backed up by Nigel (the owner) decided they didn't want to work with us anymore because they "did not meet our expectations." Normally if a business admits to not meeting the expectations of their customer, they try to correct the problem to make the customer happy. In this case, apparently because we complained about the above issues as well as some damage to our antique hardware and floor, they dumped us with 1-2 days work left to do. (They didn't have to honor the second estimate because we hadn't paid a deposit yet - they hadn't billed us yet, though we technically had a verbal and written agreement via email). Lesson learned, if you arrange work on a separate estimate, be sure to pay the deposit so they are locked into finishing your job! When invoiced, they tried to charge us for work not done (I knew this because I was here everyday managing the job) so i had to ask them to reduce the bill by that amount. When I received the adjusted invoice, I asked for a discount due to our dismal experience, the amount of personal time I had to spend managing this project, as well as the damage that they did not address. The owner responded by threatening to have his lawyer put a lien on our house instead of first trying to make this right, which is the number one tenet of customer service. Incredibly disappointing and confusingly awful customer service. DO NOT HIRE THEM.

I spoke with Chris and contracted with Popular Paint to complete a very expensive exterior paint…read morejob in August, 2015. (18k plus) Of course...quick to reply, quick to quote, yes, there's a "warranty" and lots of how their company is "different."And yes, the paint job looked great....for the 1st 3-4 years...and now? Barely 7 years later and I'm looking at having it painted again. Actually, that's not accurate...I was looking at painting it 4 years after I initially painted it. Yes I know about the harsh winters, blah blah...but paint has gotten better...not worse. . I used Ben Moore a quality paint and still the house looks like it hasn't been touched in at least a decade. It's not the paint....it's the labor and the prep I question. Poor caulk, poor primer, allowing the clapboards to get wet. In fact, Chris casually mentioned to me during the project that they initially used the wrong paint but they fixed it.....Huh? We had a contract...it was all in writing. I've left at least 3 messages on Chris's voice mail. through out the years..the 1st when the paint began to peel which was within the 1st 4 years. And then several times without any reply. I didn't expect a reply so no surprise there. Buyer beware...they may paint interiors well and they may have 5 stars but I would seriously consider using this company for exterior painting.

Imagine a remodeling company that is able to take the ideas from your head and from printed out…read moreimages into reality quick and for a great price. My fiancee found Supreme Painters and Remodelers as we were looking to have our cabinets repainted in our new house. What attracted us to Lindo and his team was the process they outlined and the fact that they used lacquer to paint the cabinets rather than regular paint. We had a laundry list of a renovation we were also looking to have someone do for us so we had Lindo come for a quote. Lindo sent us a calendar invite for the day we were meeting and when the quote was ready, a nicely broken down itemized list of all the services and the corresponding costs. This helped us pick and choose what we needed to modify and what we wanted to skip. On that note, Lindo was very flexible and patient as we made a few changes and additions along the way and he found a way to make it work within our budget. We ended up refinishing our downstairs floors, installing new hardwoods up stairs, gutting an upstairs bathroom, retiling the downstairs bathroom, painting the kitchen cabinets, having a new countertop and plumbing installed in the kitchen, having a new fireplace build, installing new lighting including pot lights, taking down a few walls and painting the entire home. In regards to painting, the end result was unreal. Lindo's team spent over a week prepping the walls and cabinets for paint, and wow was it worth it. The house is from the 40s and after Lindo's team was done prepping and painting, it looked as if they put in new sheet rock on the walls and the ceiling. Even if you choose to go with a different contractor for other projects, demand that they use Supreme Painting for the painting because no one does it as well as they do. The end result of the rest of our renovations were beautiful as well and within the time frame we were hoping it would! Lindo uses fantastic subcontractors as well, especially his plumber/electrician Gerard is amazing! He was able to set up wiring to a hot tub, to our shed, add new light switches and outlets, wire up a tv through the fireplace and installing pot lights in an existing ceiling. Absolutely stellar work. His tile guy did amazing work and was able to follow our specific instructions for tile layout. He was also able to do a great job ensuring that we were able to keep existing tile and just make small changes to the border using extra tile. Looking at it, it looks as if it was always there and no changes were made. The tile work in the upstairs bathroom was amazingly impressive and is one of our favorite rooms in the house. Omar was an awesome communicator and helped us out when Lindo was not on site and helped to ensure everything was being done well All in all, Lindo really cared about the project and having it done well. I am eager and happy to be a referral and recommend him and his team to anyone who needs renovations. The end result of the renovations are stellar and honestly, while Supreme isn't the least expensive, it also isn't the most expensive, but the quality is there and well worth the price that is provided. If you compare Lindo's quote to averages, he is pretty much spot on and so I have no doubt his pricing is fair and his quality even better. There are some recommendations I would have but this is all personal preference and not worth of losing any stars, but just things to keep in mind as a potential client. While Lindo uses a great platform for notifying you that someone will be at your home, we never really got a project plan, to better understand when things are happening and who is going to be there and when. While I know we threw some wrenches into the plan with some changes, a dynamic project plan would have been helpful so we knew we were on track and we would know when to have materials ready by. This wasn't as big of an issue as we were not living at the project site during renos, but if we were, we'd 100% need a project plan. I think communication can be worked on between both the client and the project manager. Maybe a weekly check in scheduled to ensure that all questions and answers are addressed, especially when the client makes changes mid project. There were a few times that I felt I was waiting for answers to questions. However, overall, Lindo was available via text and phone when we really needed him. Lindo made a number of suggestions that were spot on and things we wouldn't have noticed or thought to do. This was our first major renovation and I think he should lean into doing that more with his clients as it helps to bring the whole project together and his experience is valued. Had it not been for Lindo we would have not ended up refinshing our floors and we are so happy that we did! As a final note, if you want renovations and you want them done right, just go with Supreme. The work is top notch, the prices are fair, Lindo has great ideas and the subs he uses are fantastic.
