We of course ordered Kölsch, which they bring around to drop off full glasses as soon as you finish the last sip of your previous glass. I ordered a dish from their seasonal asparagus menu, which was very tasty. The schnitzel was fried well without being too dry and the asparagus was huge, but still delicious. My bf got the Jägerschnitzel mit Pommes frites. The fries were crispy and the mushroom sauce was a great addition. Our server was very friendly and kind and we really enjoyed our meal here!

Maybe we are not regulars, but every regulars started as a new customer. When we enter the restaurant, it was so full, no waiter come to ask us about reservation or seating. We walk ahead to the small space behind the open bar and seated ourselves. Instead of coming to us personally and tell us that the place is booked, They raise their voice from the bar counter loud enough for everyone to hear that the seat is booked. We are so ashamed, and we did not know because there are no Reservation signs on the table. So to save our face, we drifted to the empty seat next to the door. although feeling humiliated, we decided to still stay and order. It was obvious that we both lost our appetite, so we just ordered drink and chat. It was sad that my expectations of this place was so high, but the experience was not even close to okay. :(

We were at Royal Iberico for a Yelp Elite event and were greeted by a well-decorated, chic atmosphere and our warm and friendly restaurant hosts. The restaurant is small but intimate and cozy. On to the food- we started with a delicious and smooth Cava Apertif which was refreshing and tasty, and an olive bread with a garlic dip. The appetizer was a beautifully presented zucchini hors d'oeuvre, and we also enjoyed a charcuterie platter with Serrano ham, cheese, and chorizo. The main course was the highlight of our evening- Iberian steak with potatoes and mixed vegetables. The steak was both crispy and tender, flavorful and delicious. It had a tad too much salt for my taste, but overall it was very good. In between courses, we enjoyed live violin and accordion music, which was a great surprise. They played dynamically and romantically and added to the charm of the evening. Five stars for a lovely dinner and evening.

Chimaek!!! Korean spicy fried chicken and Beer!!! Koreanisches pikantes Chicken Wings und Bier!!!!…read more I haven't had Chimaek in a few years and couldn't find this in a Germany restaurant yet. This restaurant did not disappoint. I asked them to make it spicy, but they didn't as most Germans don't eat very spicy food. I had one bite and the chicken was really good, but was a bit sweet with a chili taste. I asked for more a hotter sauce and they brought out one with a pair of plastic cooking gloves and warned me about the hot sauce. I have a high level of spice and hotness and am very aware of how to eat chili, so I tasted this sauce and it was very spicy. I poured it all over my hot wings, but I didn't end up using the plastic gloves as it was ok for me. There were a lot of people in the restaurant looking at me as I guess they aren't used to people eating or ordering really really really hot food. The chef was an older Korean lady that speaks German. She is the main and only cook and she cooked to perfection as you would expect in your grandmother's kitchen! I saw how she was able to cook 4-5 things at once and everything that came out of her small kitchen was perfect. If you go there and love to cook, just sit at the first table on the left and you can watch a great live cook. I ordered the Korean spicy fried chicken, Hite beer from a bottle, a bowl of kimchi, and a bowl of rice. I would have ordered Sundae, but they didn't have that here. If someone knows where to find that in Germany, please let me know. 5 stars Korean spicy fried chicken 5 stars Hite beer from a bottle 5 stars kimchi 2 stars Bowl of rice, wasn't the tastiest rice I have ever had and was a bit undercooked, which you would think wouldn't happen in an automatic rice cooker Ich habe seit einigen Jahren kein Chimaek mehr gegessen und konnte das noch nicht in einem deutschen Restaurant finden.

We got across the river to the Latäng District with no traffic at all - this must be what it's like when people are happy to use public transport options. The restaurant is covered in wallpaper of old photographs from the founding proprietress, Paula Kleinmann. Oma means "Grandma". The original photos are back with her family when the business was sold in 2023 to the Wolf and Küther-Jankovic families, who still operate it. Grandma Kleinmann passed away in 2009 at the age of 95, but her recipes live on here. The menu is simple - it's all schnitzel. We ordered a regular veal schnitzel with mushroom sauce and a Viennese pork schnitzel with "curry ketchup" so that we could better understand the difference. As far as we can tell, the meat for the Viennese pork schnitzel is sliced thinner and the batter doesn't fall off when you cut it. The meat for the regular schnitzel is thicker as its its batter, so pieces tend to crumble off when you cut it. Both were excellent, so it's just a matter of preference. Our son preferred the regular schnitzel and I preferred the Viennese one. I'm only sad that we had to leave leftovers on the table, but we really couldn't eat another bite. We like that they made non-alcoholic drinks. Our son had the blackcurrent spritzer and I had the rhubarb one. We also ordered a dessert of strawberry ice cream which was embedded with frozen strawberries. We hustled back to the hotel on public transport, taking first the train and then catching the last bus back. https://www.beiomakleinmann.de
