Story of Griff’s
While in college, Kyle Tipton planned to adopt a female miniature schnauzer—but a spirited male pup had other plans. That dog, Griffey, instantly stole Kyle’s heart and became part of the family.
Kyle and his wife, Cindy, always dreamed of opening a hoagie shop, but as members of the Air National Guard, they waited for the right time and place. After moving to Tyndall Air Force Base, Cindy began making Philadelphia hoagies for family and friends, quickly earning rave reviews.
As plans for a food truck came together, Griffey passed away at the age of 15. Wanting to honor him, one of their children drew a cartoon schnauzer, and the family knew instantly—Mr. Griff would be their mascot.
Mr. Griff represents family, love, and the beginning of something special.
