It's creamy with the peanut butter flavor but not overwhelming. The cone does seem to be a little small for all that ice cream, so don't dilly-dally too much eating it in warm weather. Since some other parlors near me have closed, Scoups has become by default the closest ice cream spot to me that makes their own hard ice cream. This is not a bad thing. It's also not bad that it's not too far away from Wolf Road, and it becomes a convenient spot for dessert after dinner nearby.

The bathroom is huge and very clean. However, it would be nice if they installed a hook to hang your purse and coat. We also sampled the ice cream. They have both soft serve and hard ice cream. My soft serve twist was yummy and my mom enjoyed her hard ice cream. This is a nice addition to the area. We'll be back for the delicious gyros and ice cream.

The other night, the weather was warm. My friend and I were out for a drive. We pulled into Kurver Kreme. What a nice experience! The stand is well lit. There were dozens of vehicles in the large parking lot. It looked like a tailgate. Some customers were sitting in the back of their hatchbacks taking in the scene and enjoying the warm weather. There were no lines. Many customers were just hanging out after finishing their ice creams. Some were lost in conversation. Others were busy "people watching" as a wide variety of vehicles continued to pull into the parking lot. The stand looks to be mid-century and appropriately old R&B music and 60s Rock classics blared from the speaker system. Most of the ice cream is soft serve. I ordered a small chocolate in a cup. It was good. My friend ordered a pomegranate and mango Dole whip twist, which is sort of like sherbet. It was both pretty and tasty. Elaina was our server. She was friendly and helpful. She filled our orders quickly. We had a fun time. I'm glad we stopped.

But their ice cream also remains an occasional treat and not a frequent thing. Everyone has their own price point for ice cream, and getting dishes or cones of ice cream for a family would add up, compared to buying a half-gallon of some brand at a grocery store. Probably your second decision is going to be how you want your ice cream served - cone or bowl? The cones appear to all be waffle style, and they have a variety of dipped flavors. There is even a waffle shaped bowl available. We decided upon the more tradition paper cup. My wife had a single scoop of Chocolate Addiction ($5.50) which included chocolate chips and fudge chunks. I tried two scoops ($7.50) combining Blueberry Crumble with Salted Caramel Ooey Gooey Cake. All three were very good with the salted caramel our favorite and blueberry crumble a close second. There was also a display case filled with what looked like chocolate candies or treats. I couldn't see a price anywhere. Some of the labels were, dark or milk chocolate graham crackers; milk chocolate turtles; milk chocolate Oreos; key lime; gooey brownie; cherry bomb; and peanut butter. By the time we finished eating our ice cream at one of the tables inside, a long line of customers had developed. Kudos for having spoons strong enough to withstand the very hard texture of their ice cream. Maybe we should try buying a pint next time and give it a chance to soften up by driving it home and eating there.
